In keeping with yesterday’s topic, here is a charm (and a very well-known one at that,) that works wonders for when you need the object of your desires to sweeten to you…be it because the two of you have argued, because you just want their attention, or whatever… There are several versions of this spell/charm, and this one is mine. I have heard of this charm be created as simply as placing a scrap of paper with the target’s name into a sugar bowl, and as complicated as…well, complicated. 😉 I’m still very pre-coffee… 😉
For a Sweet Jar you will need:
One glass jar (I have used mayonaise jars, pickle jars, jelly jars, even glass bottles,)
Some sugar,
Some honey (or corn syrup, or liquid sweetener – I have used maple syrup with some interesting results!)
A piece of paper,
A pen,
Hair, photo, etc, of target, (anything works – I have even heard of toothbrush bristles!)
Optional: a small size taper or birthday candle, rose petals, and a friend has recommended rue to me (tho I have yet to try it,)
If you feel you need it: Masking tape.
First, clear a clean surface to do your work on. Take out the piece of paper – you will want a whole sheet here, I prefer parchment, but using a paper bag works just as well. Now write your target’s name 7 times, turn the paper 1 quarter turn, and write your or the the petioner’s name 7 times. Now, place your pen outside the “square” that should be formed by the names cris-crossing each-other, and begin to write whatever end you desire to accomplish without lifting the pen from your starting point, with the words forming a circle around the names you have written. The pen must NOT be lifted during this phase, and you WILL need to start again if you lift the pen. This can be anything, and you can repeat yourself if you so desire. For examle “lovemelovemeloveme,” or “lovemeforgivemereturntome,” even more complex like: “youloveonlymeforeverandalwaysandwantotmarryme…” Just so long as you do NOT lift your pen until one end of the string of words has reached the other, and you have formed a circle.
Once this is accomplished to your satisfaction, take the paper, and remove the cut edges on it by gently ripping the edges off, so that each edge has a fresh, uncut surface, then place the paper in your jar. If you must, you may fold it once or twice as needed, always folding TOWARDS you. Now, dump a handful of dried rose buds/petals in the jar, and about a tablespoon or so of sugar (no exact measurments are needed.) Place the target’s personal object (hair, photo, etc,) inside the jar. Now, fill the jar to full with honey or sweetener and seal with lid (and tape if needed.) At this point, I shake the jar while thinking of my target while saying 7 times, “Sweet and sweeter thoughts of me you shall think constantly.” And basically “Open up” the jar for use that way. I know others prefer to “open up” the jar’s power by lighting a candle on top of the jar, but I have actually seen this make these buggers explode, and if you think glass shards and Karo syrup are fun to clean up… 😛 So if you want to do this, I recommend a small taper or even a b-day candle, secured on top of the jar with drippings, and an ad libbed chant that will “tell” the jar it is working when the candle has burned out. With my non-candle method I see plently of results, so it is up to you. When your ends have been accomplished, be sure to either hide the sweet jar, or dispose of its remains accordingly.

The ones with candle work usually say to burn the candle MWF…….with your method; do you do anything after “opening” it?

Not with this particular sweet jar, although a lot of people have liked to use my version with the candle on top… It can be modified to your liking. Its just one of many sweet jar and jar spells I have. 😉

Dear Cat,
what do you do if the name paper keeps on rising up in the jar and is only halfway covered by honey? Should I open up the jar and add more honey? Should I do the whole spell again?
I also have lodestones in there and have tried to – well – water toy (like this one: http://www.ncsxshop.com/cgi-bin/shop/EPC-NSMB1.html ) the name paper it to the bottom by getting the lodestones to wedge it down, but without much success. On the other hand, it’s gotten me to shake the jar a lot, hehe!
I also wrote the command so that the last few letters are a bit squished when I connected it back to the very first word. Does that matter?

The jar was supposed to be filled to the top. If there is a bitty air bubble in there its fine, but its supposed to be filled as much as can be filled. The paper will eventually saturate and sink as is.

Hi Cat,
I did the sweet jar and have a question: the picture I used was one of me and him. And ever since I did it I have been really emotional (not pms), not thinking negative thoughts, and been having very vivid dreams of him. I’m just feeling really different. Could the jar be affecting me?

Who was the picture of? Just you? Then you just cast a spell on yourself so maybe, though very likely – no disrespect meant – your symptoms are all your mind. I’ve done work for people before where when I’d not started yet and they began complaining that the spell was cast on them – that I’d done it wrong, lol…nothing had been done. I highly doubt I was even so focused on their issue as to cause some sort of “ripple” that would effect them, and generally even if the work were to have been cast it was on someone else, not my client, and so there was no reason for them to have “spell symptoms.” 😉
Either way, I’d toss out the jar and start a new one. Sounds like it wasn’t done right.

Regardless, it shouldn’t make you sad. I don’t think it should give vivid dreams either.
A pic of you together is fine (goodness you said that in your original post – sorry I’d not had a coffee yet, heh,) but you might feel like you are not resenting him for his past mistakes as much. That generally is not an issue for people seeking this type of working. So, if you realize you don’t hold (x issue) against him so much anymore, that’s the spell working on you, too. But it shouldn’t make you sad or long for him.
Many honey jars are worked on both parties, so…. I’d say the anxiety/upset is more of an internal/self-made issue (not consciously of course) and not stemming from a sweet jar. They are pretty dang mild, in my humble opinion, and not apt to even cause that sort of reaction in the intended target.

I’ve been a follower of your blog for awhile and I must say I love it. You’re amazing.I have a question though about the sweet jar. I have one set up right now is it possible to remove the petition I have in there and replace it with a new one or should I just start a new jar.

You need to start new jar. You should not reuse petitions 999999 out of 1000000 times in any spell, nor should you reuse personal items.
