Q&A – Danegerous, Crazy, or Both?

The following is an email I received from a client about 2-3 weeks ago. Her name and email have been removed, as well as the name of the forum for privacy purposes.

Cat,what do you think of this? I asked if anyone knew of anything I could do in the face of a speeding ticket to lessen the severity of the fine.This creeped me out.What a freak.Can someone actually do work against someone if all they know is that person’s screen name? It seems suspect to me,but freaked me out none the less…please let me know what you think.thanks…….no wonder people have a bad view of magic.

I agree 100% – what a freak! Listen, I’ve done a few negative things in my day, since I have a real issue with people using sex/lust magic/k like it is some sort of metaphysical (and untraceable) roofie or ghb, or if someone uses psychic energy to stimulate the genitals of another (nice being a rapist eh? I’ve heard of pigs doing this, so I bound them to be incapable of it,) but past that, I can’t say that I have ever used dark magic/k to just amuse myself by harming someone I wouldn’t know from Adam. Any time I have used spellwork in a slightly similiar manner to this “Ra” nut-job it is usually only to defend those would-be-victims or persons being psychically and magic/kally raped. Even then…I don’t generally chirp about it.

The lust magic/k thing? Well, it goes against all my ethics unless used properly (since improperly used, its attempted rape,) as do several break up spells, so if doing that childish garbage is your bit, just don’t let me know. Lust spells should generally never be used, and when used should be used on an existing sex/love relationship, and break up spells need to be used only in the circumstance that you REALLY want to cut the ties that bind you to another. Given, this is just my opinion, and you don’t need to share it because you have a right to your opinion as I have a right to mine.

But back to the topic at hand… (I know you’re all reeling at the actual epiphany that even I, Dark Mother of the Occulties, have ethics, even though I tell all of you how to curse and control on a regular basis,) First off, unless this “Ra” guy has some real issues with people speeding (hey, I hate bad drivers, too, but not enough to curse ’em,) he should not even be close to able to put down enough energy to reach his goals. The link between him and the person he intends to “use” as “an experiment” is already incredibly weak, and despite his obvious self-assuredness that he is the master of all evil glee, I can’t imagine that he could even begin to send and twist the energy desired to reach his goals. Without a witness (personal item,) of the intended target, it is incredibly difficult to do anything at all to someone you know very little about unless you are incredibly great at spellwork, in which case, you wouldn’t be experimenting or doing something as this guy mentioned for fun. In fact, an image would help this guy greatly, but it isn’t neccesary to cause good or bad to another through spellwork. Anyone who is so wrapped up about bragging about his prowess, is likely just a screwed-up, daddy-didn’t-love-me idiot who has less ability to do any magic/k in his whole body than I have in my right pinky finger. Picking magic/k fights is also not just stupid – it can be dangerous. You never know who you’re coming against. I mean, if they are obviously so stupid as this guy, I wouldn’t get my panties in a bunch about it, but there is always the possibility that you will lay a curse on the grand-daddy of all magic/kal baddies and get your a– whupped for it.

The other key thing here? The invitation to others to “counter him.” “Ra” is obviously picking a fight with the whole forum, believing himself superior to all who are in the group. Had he any ability at all, he would not do this. I belong to several forums in which I know there are people who not only have my greatest respect, but some who I know are likely better than I am in the feild of magic/k. The superiority complex when it appears in such a manor is often a sign of Fluffy Bunnism. No mage powerful enough to do what this guy is claiming he will do would bother to do it, and if they did just for s—- and giggles, they wouldn’t announce it to a bunch of strangers. It’s one thing to say: “I have cursed,” to a group, but to promise harm to someone you don’t know? That’s equivillent in the mundane to you getting a speeding ticket, and me travelling to your town to encourage the courts to rake you over the coals because I heard that you (who I’ve never met,) were bitching about getting a speeding ticket. Wow, if I did that, I would be a nutty stalker!

So if the question is: Can someone do this? Well, theoretically, yes, but the likelihood of anyone who would do this acting as this man has and having it working is pretty low. Outspoken idiots who threaten everyone are usually not a threat, but more or less a bunch of hot air. I had a rediculous group of psionic morons (who knew little to nothing about the science of psionics,) form a group to try to “defeat me,” as their mentally disturbed leader had decided I was “an evil black mage,” that did all sorts of stuff I would never do. As a group, their biggest success was to give me a migraine. Whee. It lasted all of 5 minutes, never got bad, and I took an excedrin and was fine. They also tried to go against one of the biggest names in psionics, and a friend of mine, Charles “Uncle Chucky” Cosimano, because he disagreed with something their psycho leader said…nothing they ever did even effected him. I hear they still have a group, and occaisionally I hear tidbits about them. Supposedly (according to their brain-drained leader) they have destroyed myself, Chuck, and a slew of others…amusingly, all of us have been more fortunate than not since they started this…LOL, great job, you bunch of blithering morons. My life just gets better and better…you should curse everyone like that more often. 😉

So, on the super-off-chance that this meatball is actually a threat, I would instruct the would-be victim to defend themselves using a mirror-shell attack, whick would inevitably bounce all evil intents back to the sender. Furthermore, I would instruct the would be victim to do 2 or 3 simple hex-breakers, which, even if this guy is not a threat, are good things to do every once in awhile just to cleanse and bless the “victim” in the first place. If the would-be victim is strong enough at spellwork, and pissed enough to do so, they can also wait for the attack to be launched, and then take the connection to psychic-vampirically drain “Ra” of all of his energy, and steal it for themselves. To drain this guy is pretty dark, but if he throws the first “punch,” the victim has every right to defend themselves, and leaving “Ra” energy free and the “victim” filled up will certainly remove any threat that could be forthcoming for quite some time.

Is this guy crazy? Yes…he is the magic/kal equivillent of a person who randomly shoots others for fun.

Is this guy dangerous? Well, he’s an obvious sociopath, but in the feild of spellwork, I wouldn’t be concerned whatsoever. I recommend dealing with him and putting him in his place.
