Coersion in Spellwork

Hello Occulties…

Just yesterday I came by a rather laughable site made most obviously by one of the prepressed Llewellyn-ized mages of our day…. This interesting attempt at teaching spells, made “karma” out to be some sort of theoretical “Angel of Death,” or something… Well, I felt the need to clarify.

Generally, no matter what you do, if you are in any way, shape, or form using a petition which involves spellwork on someone who has not given you express permission to do so, you are using coersion. On top of this, if you are in any way, shape, or form, trying to effect ANY outcome outside of the probable liklihood of life, you are using force on the universe, and that…if you are so afraid of using force or coersion, is probably even “worse” since you are coercing the whole damn universe, and not just your ex…. 😉

If you dislike heavily coercive spells, then I totally understand. This is what is known as your moral and ethical make up, and you should pay it heed, because you are the one who has to live with yourself. If you *do* use heavily coercive spells, or even *gasp* negative spells on another person, the outcome will likely be exactly what you wanted it to be…the very thing that you requested through your spell… And best that be truly what you want….but no, the Karmic Lord of Retribution will not descend from the Heavens to eat your soul. Maybe your spell will manifest in an unpleasant way…but that could happen when you did a money spell (the Monkey’s Paw, anyone?) or even a healing…

You know, you can even say curse words at God/dess, and divine retribution from the Karmic Lord of don’t-f***-with-my-divine-spirit will not come and eat you…believe me, I have tried cussing out the Divine when I lost my 1st love, s/he/they did not send someone or something to kill me, and to this date I get along with the Divine quite well.

But I am rambling a bit here because I am so annoyed by these people who are the Karma Police.. 😛

Listen, the point here is this… Regardless of what anyone tries to tell you… ALL spellwork could manifest in an ugly way… and in regards to casting spells on another? Well, some targets are trickier than others, and so you might get less of an effect if they are subconsiously aware of your actions and blocking you out. The Karma Police are not a real entity outside of those people who sob and hiss “KARMA!” every time you speak of spellwork.

If you are so afraid of using coersion – DON’T. If you really hate bending other people’s mind’s DON’T. Hell, if you are so uptight about it, think of it this way… From now on, wear a sack cloth, don’t use deoderant, don’t shave, don’t wear make up…generally give up grooming and washing, because naturally you are supposed to smell like a human (sweaty,) and be hairy, and all of those purfumes and grooming tools at your disposal are just another way of tricking your desired would-be partners into thinking you smell like a rose and look like a god/godess…even though you are really covering up a huge zit and naturally smell a bit like a goat.

I am not urging you to control everyone all of the time. That would be rediculous and very dictatorial of you… I am just saying that you should practice your spellwork using a code of ethics that is mandated by you… I guess for me to give advice to you on what is “right” and what is “wrong…” Do not do anything in the magic/kal that you would be unwilling to do in the mundane. If you would never dare harm or force another if you were given such power in the mundane to do so without legal reprecussions, then do not harm or force anyone.
