Hello Occulties….

Lately I have been a bit annoyed my the ubiquitous (or even omnipresent,) Karma police…some of whom are even friends of mine… 😛 Alrighty then… Let us on with my opinion here, shall we?

I don’t believe in “Karma” for several reasons, and before you gaggle up some sort of example of it, please realize that I used to belong (on some level) to the Karma police myself, but after several years of being a practicing mage, I have seen NO PROOF that Karma exists! This is not to say that I have never witnessed what I refer to as “the splash-back factor,” wherein any spell you cast may actually have some effect on you, but even the splash-back factor occurs maybe 10% of the time. If Karma really existed, or does exist, does it exist 10% of the time (and generally at a much weaker level than whatever it is you did when it does occur?) How utterly rediculous is that? Also, you can’t THREATEN someone with Karma! For the love of snot, how in the hell do YOU control Karma? Is it not some theoretical divine form of physics? Who made you the judge of what is Karmically right and wrong? And furthermore…how can you judge good and evil? Who made you God/dess? Ah…well, there is the funny thing right there… good and evil are human concepts. 😉

And okay, listen up…. THE LAW OF 3 and KARMA ARE NOT THE SAME THING! The Law of Three is a Wiccan/NeoPagan religious belief, and is unique to said religion/s. Also, “Karma” is more equal in nature, and does NOT state that whatever good/bad I did will come back to me more than once. Therefore, the Law of Three and Karma are not interchangeable… They are about as similiar as apples and oranges – both fruit, but not the same thing.

Karma is a belief, a theory, and NOT A FACT. Stop letting your Karma and your Dogma get all over me. It is annoying.

If you believe in Karma, then super… I see it as a nice way to keep certain people in line, and if it works for you, all the better. I have never seen one real iota of proof of it. If you have, then I think that is just lovely for you and your perception of things. Perhaps Karma does exist in your reality, but it does not, nor has it ever, existed in mine. I would list a lot of things to prove it, but I prefer not to probe my own personal life here too deeply.

Now, if you all behave, perhaps I will post a spell for you later.

Ciao,

~Cat
