Hello Occulties,

I’ve recovered some from my earlier outburst regarding the Boogeyman of Karma, and am now prepared to give you the spell that I promised. Today, I would like to step away from the love and reconciliation aspect of things, as, although I know it is the most popular request, I feel we need to broaden up our horizons and get down to some other things…

So without further ado…

Cat’s Controlling Spell, #6

This spell is best begun on a Thursday during a waxing moon.

You will need:

A purple taper candle
Genuine Controlling Oil
Calamus root
Bergamot
Poppy seeds
Five-finger grass
A candle holder
Parchment paper or brown-paper-bag paper,
A pen
A heatproof container such as a pie plate or a cake tin
A pushpin or a nail
A mortar and pestle or a bowl and a crushing item
A candle snuffer (you can also use a spoon)
A photo or witness item belonging to your target (please refer to this post if you are unsure of what I mean.)

On your parchment or paper-bag piece write your target’s name 9 times. Turn the paper 1/4 turn and write what you desire your target to do 9 times across their name. Set aside.

Eaglenebula

Combine your herbal ingredients – the calamus root, bergamot, poppy seeds, and five-finger grass(about equal parts of each,) – into your mortar, and crush into a powder with your pestle. Set aside.

Take your purple taper, and, using your nail or pushpin, scratch the name of your target up (base to wick) one side, and scratch what you desire the person to do up the another side. Now, pour a bit of controlling oil into your palm, and anoint the candle using 9 pulls upwards (base to wick.) Pour a little of your powdered herbal mixture onto a table top or flat surface, and roll your anointed candle in this mixture so that the candle is well covered in herbs. Set aside.

Spit into the center of your paper square (also called a name paper,) place your witness item in the center, and sprinkle some of your powdered herbal mixture into the center, speaking aloud what it is you wish the person to do as you spinkle the herbs, for example “John Doe, I command you to give me a raise,” or “Mary Doe, I command you to tell me the truth about…” etc. Be sure to use your target’s FULL name. Now anoint the corners of the paper with your controlling oil, and then fold the paper in half towards you. Turn 1/4 turn and fold the paper in half towards you again. Place this inside your fireproof container, and place your candleholder on top of this.

Now place the candle into the candle holder (you may secure this with drippings if you need to,) and once you have done so, hold both of your hands on either side of the candle, envisioning your target’s face as you say, “(Full name,) I command you to (state comand here,) now! The more you resist my commands the more irresistable my command becomes! (Full name,) do as I say, do as I command! (Full name,) you must (state command here,) else you shall never rest, sleep, or find peace again!” Then say, “This spell shall not reverse nor place upon me any curse, as is my will so mote it be!” Allow the candle to burn about 1/7 of the way down. I would give you an approximate time, but with all of the herbal matter, it could go up pretty quick. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Now repeat this for 7 days, and on the seventh day, allow the candle to burn all of the way out.

When the candle has burnt out, take the paper square and the remaining drippings and leave them in a crossroads.

Well, okay kiddies, have fun controlling people. Till next time. ๐Ÿ˜€

Blessings!

~Cat

Cat, is the bergamot the bergamot(Citrus aurantium ssp. bergamia) for making earl grey tea or the herb bergamot(Monarda didyma)?

Its true bergamot, as in the orange, the flavoring for earl grey. “Bergamot mint” or the “herb” as you called it is not true bergamot and should not be confused with the real thing. They are not even related in the plant kingdom, if I’m not mistaken.

You could use essential oil of true bergamot (ie the bergamot orange, Citrus aurantium ssp. bergamia,) not bergamot mint. I recommend using Mountain Rose Herbs which has true essential oil of the bergamot orange. Be sure to use the actual essential oil (as in wholly derived from the plant,) when you are substituting – and NOT the fragrance oil.

I dont have bergamot right now I was wondering if I can replace it with another herb. Also, what is the purpose of bergamot in this spell? ๐Ÿ™‚

Let’s just say its an important element here (if you’d like me to go on and on and on about it privately, I will, because I have a lengthy rant about people who refuse to use true bergamot and my love of said orange, lol.) I don’t recommend subs often because this usually bring on another “I don’t have that either, what else?” type of back and forth. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Since I’ve been practicing spellwork before the advent of everyone using the internet (when finding ingredients was truly hellish,) I believe most people in this day and age could at least locate bergamot essential.
So, you could try another controlling spell (there are several on my blog,) you could try true bergamot essential oil (try Mountain Rose herbs,)you could use true bergamot, or you could try the spell omitting this ingredient.
Sorry to let you down there, but…as I said, if you are truly eager for a sub, you can contact me, but I can’t guarantee the sub is any easier to find than bergamot. ๐Ÿ™‚

You need Bergamot essential oil, and I do not mean Bergamot mint, I mean the citrus (its that flavor that makes Earl Grey tea taste like Earl Grey tea.) Get the essential oil at: http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/aroma/a-b.html scroll down to citrus bergamia.
Since the essential oil is the bottled essence of the plant, it works well as a “sub.”
Watch out with doing too much controlling on an ex (which I assume is the case, seeing your comments on these controlling spells, esp the No BS spell,) as this can create animosity in the target towards the petitioner if the controlling work is overused.

We have a lot of stray dogs where I live, and I remember you saying that destroying a name paper destroys the spell – should I still dispose of the ritual remains in the centre of a crossroads – where they can be an easy target? Or is it alright if I leave them off to a side of the crossroads where they are slightly safer? (Sorry if this a stupid question, but I’m genuinely confused.)

That’s okay, I’m genuinely confused with what stray dogs have to do with leaving a name paper in a crossroads, so if you can clear up why dogs are an issue, I’ll let you know.

Sorry, guess I should have been more clear. I meant that these dogs have a habit of tearing into/playing with anything left out – and would probably tear up the name paper to bits – would that affect the spell? Since, as I said, I remember you saying that destroying a name paper destroys the spell.

Of course an animal gets into rubbish with old food (and diapers and personal products) in it. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Any dog would. Any raccoon would. A fox or coyote would. A homeless person even would. It’s food in there.
That said, dogs, in my experience, do not eat name papers. Ever. I have never in 33 years on earth seen a dog eat a name paper, and my dog has a paper issue. He eats paper towels and shreds newspapers if he’s frustrated. He has never even attempted to consume a name paper, and I once had to get his stomach pumped because he ate my friends cigarettes when he was a puppy…so your fears are unfounded. Just dump the paper into the crossroad. It won’t likely get shredded immediately by some strange dog nor would it be like to be of much interest to them whatsoever. I don’t think a stray dog will harm your spell or your name paper. ๐Ÿ™‚

While I’m at it – thank you so much for all your spells, recipies, and advice – it’s very helpful, and much appreciated. =)
