Ah, the ever-popular Questions You’ve Asked Me, which I feel has technically replaced the “Q&A” articles. Well, you were all warned that it was a-coming. πŸ˜€ Without further ado, the most recent addition to the Questions You’ve Asked Me articles. πŸ™‚

Q: You often say that people “think their spell to death” – can you illustrate what you mean by this and why it happens?

A: Spells are basically concentrated energy, which is being directed towards manifesting a certain goal. By utilizing the energy within ourselves and within certain plants (and minerals and animals as well,) and even occaisionally employing godforms, spirits, saints, entities, or demons, we can combine this with spellwork to realize our goal. HOWEVER, thoughts also have energy. No, a thought may not be as concentrated or strong as a spell…it is better to think of this like a spell being a giant boulder, and a thought being a pebble…both are the same thing in a way, but a thought is smaller, and no I am not calling spells rocks, I am just giving you a visual here. Now, going back to the visual, imagine for me if you will, that this boulder (our spell) is rolling towards a destination (our goal for the spell,) and yet every time we think of this boulder (our spell,) we are doing the equivellant of hucking a pebble at the boulder and chipping a piece off, ie making it smaller, less effective, etc. Now, if we only think of the spell a little bit, we are still gonna have a big “boulder,” when it reaches the destination…but if we think about the spell constantly, we are not going to have anything reach the destination at all, because we will have broken it down to nil. So…what I am trying to get across here, is that a spell is energy, and your thoughts are energy, and this can lead to your thoughts dissolving a spell because you are mentally attacking the spell, if you will.

Kissy

This is not always the case. I do know people who have thought themselves cursed, and therefore remained “cursed.” The actual curse was removed, but they couldn’t allow themselves to believe this, and basically by thinking themselves doomed to a life of misery, they had in fact, cursed themselves…and why? BECAUSE THOUGHTS HAVE ENERGY, TOO. If you truly believe something and tell yourself something over and over and over, often times you are creating what is similar to a spell…a big energy ball thought which is creating the very outcomes you believe inevitable. Now, before I get 80 emails asking why so and so is not married to someone famous and rich when they always felt they should be, or something similarly delusional, let me state for the record that just because YOUR THOUGHTS have energy, this doesn’t mean that MY THOUGHTS or MY DOG’S THOUGHTS or TOM BRADY’S THOUGHTS do not also have energy as well. So…if you truly believe it is your turn to win the lotto, please realize that my father also is thinking that it is his time to win the lotto, as well as are several other millions of people. So…in effect, with all of those thought energies floating around saying it is so-and-so’s time to win, you are all effectively doing the same thing energy-wise as you are when you buy that ticket…being one of millions who wish to win the lotto. πŸ˜‰ If we take this on a smaller scale, let’s say that you always felt you should marry Betty Sue, and yet you are not even her paramour, look at it like this…yes, your thoughts do have energy and effect, BUT so do Betty Sue’s thoughts have energy and effect, as do her husband’s thoughts, her parents thoughts, and etc. A thought has energy, but generally it is the most effective at manifesting something when directed at oneself, and not at another being. If you always “knew” you would get married and have kids some day, chances are very high that you will get married and have kids some day. If you always “knew” you would marry someone famous and have that person’s kids, chances are you and a million schoolgirls will all be disappointed. πŸ˜‰

Now a spell is not a person. A spell can be effected both positively and negatively by thought, and because it is not an incarnate being, but rather energy, thought can have a more pronounced effect on the spell.

A question of one of my clients recently brought something to my attention which I found interesting. She said, what if she did not think of the spell itself, but worried about the outcome without considering the spellwork itself. :S Well, let us go back to a visual interpretation, shall we? Let us now envision the spell as being an actual living being, and again the desired goal is a destination. There are a myriad of paths and roads to this destination that the being (the spell) can take. Now let us throw your thoughts into the mix. Your thoughts are like little hyperactive beings which run up and down the pathways and roads to this destination, and everytime you think “Well, so and so would never do that,” one of your thoughts goes and blocks off a pathway or road so that the being (the spell) cannot get to its destination (ie manifest) using that pathway. The being (the spell,) will generally take the easiest “path” or “road” to the destination (manifestation,) but if it is constantly blocked by your thoughts (who also like to congregate generally on the best path, lol,) it will have to turn back and find another path. This is why people who obsess over the situation constantly will often complain of slow manifestation. So NO, do not obsess about your situation, or the how, the when, or the why. How, when, and why will all be apparent when your spell manifests.

The best way to look at it is like this: A spell is a bit like ordering something from a catalogue or online. You place your order and in a certain amount of time, the thing you ordered will arive. You probably think very little about the thing you ordered until it arrives, don’t you? Now if the spell is the “order” and the manifestation is “the ordered thing,” in this example, I highly hope that when you actually order something online or by phone or mail, that you do not obsess about you package being packed, and what the packer was wearing and thinking, and what the package’s delivery man was arguing about with his wife that day, and etc…if you are, you are not capable of casting a spell, and should probably be treated for obesessive/compulsive disorder. However, if you are capable of ordering something and not obsessing over the how, when, or why of your package’s transit to you, then you are capable of spellcasting. Treat it the same. The spell is the order (and we all wait for mail order stuff we really want and are excited to get from time to time, don’t we?) and the package delivery would be when the spell manifests. Its a weird example, I know, but the idea is just to know what you ordered is on its way, and not to think about it from here to there.

Phew, that was a long long long answer…next question?

Q: Do I have to believe in God/dess or a creator or supreme being to cast a spell?

A: No, but I find that most spellcasters have some sort of spiritual belief. Certainly, if having religion does not appeal to you, I would assume you would still be quite capable of spellcasting, just not when utilizing religious beliefs is part of the spell.

Q: Is telling your spell target that you cast a spell on them bad? Does it hurt the spell?

A: I would have to tell you that 95% of the time it is beyond stupid for you to tell someone you spellcasted upon them. No one likes to be “tricked,” and in Hoodoo, we call something laying down a trick for another very often (even if it is a “good” trick,) because if you discover you have been “tricked,” or had a spell cast on you, it does normally feel just like that. A trick. It feels hurtful. Like you were fooled into something. Certainly, in the case of love spells, telling your spell target that you cast a love spell on them will probably negate the whole spell.

Sometimes, though, in the case of a curse, you can just tell someone that they are cursed, and not curse them, and they will freak out and basically do all sorts of crazy things. Mwahahahah. Having done this to 2 people who were incredibly rude to myself and my fella, I can tell you this was, by far, the funniest thing I ever saw in my life. I didn’t even say “curse,” I just said I was going to ruin both of their lives and hahahahaha, it was all gonna be done in completely legal ways. I’d had so much drama and crap from these people, that I’d reached my limit, and I am quite the vindictive bitch if you push me too far. Well, people know what I do for a living, even though it isn’t really something that is discussed locally. Needless to say, these persons reacted by fighting with each other (its your fault, you started it, you picked on Cat, etc,) having every miniscule bad thing being “proof” that I had “got them,” and basically running themselves ragged emotionally and mentally because they were sure that the “big event” from my “curse” was approaching ever nearer. Let me enlighten you all…if I cursed you, I’d not tell you, and I would sit back and watch your life turn to s**t, and you’d be none the wiser that I’d ever cursed you. I don’t just curse people for s**ts and giggles, either, so I would have had to have been greatly mistreated by you to place a curse on you. These 2 people where simply mouthy little a-holes, and though the thought to curse them did cross my mind, before I seriously considered it enough to do it, they ruined themselves for fear of me. So…in essesnce, there was no need – they self destructed. πŸ˜‰

BUT, telling someone they are cursed can backfire. The would-be cursed person can unthink your spell if you cast it, they can get the spell removed, too, or maybe they will just attack you, there, o cursing one. The moral of this story is when you cast a spell, keep your freakin’ mouth shut. I probably should’ve not said boo to Tweedle-dum and Tweedle-dee about desiring to ruin them both, but I was also drinking Stoli that night (ah, its like sweet kryptonite to me sometimes,) so thankfully for me it turned out for the best. No matter what the spell is, DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT discuss it with the spell target. πŸ™‚ And definitely avoid Stolichnaya when around would be spell targets, even though it is a wonderful vodka and should be enjoyed regularly. πŸ˜‰

Q: Does divination and spellcasting draw entities or spirits into a home?

A: No, I do not feel this is the case. HOWEVER, if you have dormant spirits or entities on your property this can rouse them, and therefore initiate activity within your home that was not previously there. However, mundane things like construction can also rouse entities, so…like anything else, it is just something that can happen, even if you are not dabbling in the occult. Unfortunate “demonologists,” seem to equate the occult with evil and say that this makes a “beacon,” for evil entities to enter. This is not the case, IMHO, as often “evil entities,” seem to attack even the most pure of people as well as the bad….and if you think about it, often pubescent children are the most victimized by entities because of their own inner turmoil, which would lead me to say, don’t be conflicted or going through hormonal changes or doing construction on your home if you wish to avoid “evil” entities. πŸ˜‰ LOL, seriously, though, there are a lot of reasons for spirit activity to initiate itself, and unless you are literally requesting a negative entitiy to come into your home, I would say do not blame yourself or the fact that you used a mode of divination or a spell if you encounter undesired spiritual activity in your home.

Q: Can you tell me where to get a free spell? Would you do a free spell?

A: There is no such thing as a free spell. Spell materials cost someone money, ergo, it was not free. It even costs money to grow your own herbs, make your own incenses and oils, pour your own candles… so no, there is no such thing as a free spell. Would you pay my monthly ritual supply bill costs for me? No? Really, I don’t blame you…its a big bill, which is why I write out spells for you to cast, and that information IS free, but you need to purchase your own supplies. πŸ˜‰

Q: Do you really not believe in Karma, the Law of Three, or the Law of Return?

A: Inasmuch as I realize this belief is popular amongst those wishing to cling to the hope of divine justice for wrongdoers and that good actions will always bring good things to them, no, I do not believe in any of that, as I have seen numerous times that such “laws” do not really exist. If I use a spell to save the lives of 100 people, I could still get sick and die 3 weeks later. πŸ˜‰ If I curse the eff out of you, I might win the Powerball the next week and be as happy as a clam for the rest of my life. πŸ™‚ What I believe is that every action has a reaction…there is no specification to the reaction being good or bad or anything else. It just is. If I spellcast a curse on you, the reaction is you are cursed. If I cast a love spell on you, the reaction is that you are in love. See what I am saying…nothing more than for what is done, there is a reaction. End of story. I have yet to have any “karma” issues, and karma seems pretty silly to me.

Q: Can you make a spell work very fast?

A: Anyone can, however a rapid manifesting spell is often very short lived. If you can bear to wait about 21-28 days for a spell to manifest, you will be much happier with the results. Fast acting spells seem to be limited to a life of, at most, 14 days.

Alrighty, kids, that’s enough of questions you’ve asked me. Please keep those questions a coming. πŸ˜‰

How can someone avoid thinking about their spell? I have tried to not think about “when” and “What ifs” but i can’t seem to get it out of my head. Any suggestions? πŸ™‚

I would say just to keep your mind engaged. You know, if you have to get a Rubik’s cube or play Sudoku or do a crossword…anything to keep your brain active will keep you from thinking about the spell. Thinking a spell to death is BAAAAAD. Its one thing to think about it a little (we all do)…but obsessing over the how, when, and why is just spell-murder. :S

What about a breakup spell? How can I make it really work?

As I’ve been saying for more than a decade now, I don’t teach death curses or break up spells. You’ll never find either on this blog. πŸ™‚

You say that to over think the outcomes of a spell can be bad and stop it from manifesting, but what if you are thinking of it in a positive way rather than negative? Rather than thinking ‘well this will never happen because it’s not something he or she would do’, thinking ‘well this could happen or that could happen’ but still having faith that it will happen somehow.

No, that’s bad, too. It’s a form of thinking it to death. Stop reading The Secret. See, the Law of Attraction is not anything like what that stupid book (or several ones like it,) describes, really. For example, if you throw a pebble into a lake, does it bounce back and hit you in the face? No, it doesn’t, even though, speaking physics, there is an equal and opposite reaction to every action. Well, if The Secret was about physics, it would tell you if you toss a pebble into a lake, it will bounce back and hit you in the face. πŸ˜‰ So, no, all thoughts have energy, and what you’re doing is misunderstanding whether the energy is draining, repulsing, attracting, or ….erg, not enough coffee…adding energy I guess is the best term. What you suggest is basically equivalent to speaking on a cell phone and then complaining you’ve lost charge on a phone and can’t make a call (so the battery is the spell energy,) – while it might not be repulsive in nature, it’s not attractive, and it’s draining to the outcome. Or perhaps another example is planting a seed and then picking it out of the soil to see how it’s growing every day – you’re still attaching psychic bonds to an energy you’re trying to release, and therefore inhibiting it from accomplishing what you want by pulling it back.

In other words, if you don’t stop picking at that, it won’t get better. Doesn’t matter if you’re picking nicely. πŸ˜‰
