Hi Occulties,

As many practitioners do read my blog, I’d like to speak up about something we all must deal with and about an incedent which recently occured to a close friend of mine who is a practitioner of rootwork. I feel that we practitioners are oft very mistreated by certain psychotic people, and so, as unethical as this may be, I have permission from my friend to share his former-client’s information, and so I shall.

All practitioners for hire, good or bad, have been the recipient of some negative press at some time or another. For goodness sake, I have had 2 hate groups in my honor, started by people I refused to work for! We deal with stalkers, with obsessives, and with people who, let’s just be frank, are downright crazy. This isn’t to say this is a majority of clientele – NO, in fact, MOST of my clients are very wonderful people and are not nearly close to being this type of person…but then again, once you’ve had your first “bad one,” you don’t forget it.

One incedent which happened to me, though I will not share a name for this one publicly, happened recently (around my birthday, in fact,) when someone ordered a 7-day spell, and 3 days into it asked for a full-refund. Why? Not because she was dissatisfied, but because she realized she needed that money to pay her bills. So I’m out over $100 in ritual supply, so I can pay her to ruin my ritual supplies? That’s as bad as eating at a restraunt, paying the bill, then coming back the next day demanding the price you paid back plus tip because “I can’t pay my bills.” This isn’t Wal-mart, and I can’t sell your semi used goods to someone else.

This is rediculous! Did I refund her? I actually did. Anyone that insane and self-absorbed was just going to do something worse if I didn’t, and I figured it was worth spending the money just to get rid of her. Something, perhaps, like what happened to my friend today.

A Mr. Wilfredo Encarnacion (he had specifically asked I share the client’s name to WARN you all,) approached my friend to do some spellwork less than 28 days ago. Over the 3 weeks or so, my friend was in no way, shape, or form alerted to any sort of dissatisfaction regarding the spellwork done for Mr. Encarnacion, until today when he checked into his PayPal account.

Mr. Encarnacion stated that he had been “defrauded,” that my friend refused to refund him, claimed this was a dispute for an “item not received” (no item was supposed to change hands, as this was a SERVICE that was purchased,) refused to take his calls, etc, etc. He had called his bank and instituted a chargeback, and further filed a complaint with PayPal…again….for an item “not received” when this was a service already performed.

No one, again, had spoken of refunds or dissatisfaction with results with my friend. This is one of my best friends, and if he tells me this, I am going to honestly say I could take his word to the bank. He is not BSing me. So, now, this man lied about my friend to PayPal over…want to know how much?… One hundered twenty-one dollars. Not a lot of money….One hundred twenty-one dollars. Wilfredo Encarnacion will ruin your entire reputation, everyone, over ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE measily dollars, he will freeze your PayPal account, lie to his own bank, ignore that a service advertised as non-refundable was rendered, and disregard the fact that this was actually only $21 over the purchase price of his ritual materials…just because he can’t go straight to the source and speak with the seller.

I would not be so mad as I am to hear about this if this man EVER spoke to the seller of the service (my friend,) instead of putting my friend’s reputation and business on the line without so much as a warning, because he’s so selfish and delusional that he feels lying to PayPal so he can get the money back and defraud ANOTHER practitioner of his or her time and ritual materials is normal or okay.

If someone did this to me I’d probably death curse them…okay, I’d at least mystically bitch-slap them (“whoa, an unseen hand just beat me upside the head!”) 😉 And then me and my lawyer would also call your bank. But because my friend shares the account with his wife, and that was also putting her unrelated profession’s payments on the line. He could not even fight back against libellous claims made about him, and worked it out to change the dispute, saying Mr Encarnacion had never contacted him, but if he was dissatisfied, he’d refund the service. This cleared him of the freeze.

However he’s asked me to warn you all and I am doing so. Watch out for this Wifredo Encarnacion – if he will steal from one practitioner without any warning, he will steal from another.

I apologize in advance to any reader who may have found this offensive. I am simply defending someone who I feel has been victimized by a CLIENT which is not as rare as it may seem, unfortunately. Hopefully, by warning the community as a whole, we can avoid this person attacking someone else. This Wilfredo Encarnacion is not even my client and I’d not know him from Adam, though I do admit, he’s free to a kick in the pants if he’d like to introduce himself to me.

Thank you,

~Cat

    Hello Cat
Enjoy all your post! Thanks for the waning on Wilfredo Encarnacion. I do a lot of rituals and it not only takes time and energy but also money so I understand how your friend feels after being rippped off. I’ll light a special candle for him asking the spirits to bring in three times the amount he lost.
    many blessings

I thank you for your generousity towards my friend. 🙂 The response to this article has been very positive, and I was surprised how many people were either thanking me privately for giving them a fair warning out an unethical client, as well as surprised that several readers were absolutely disgusted with Wilfredo Encarnacion’s actions. Its good to see that several people realize that PRACTITIONERS are ripped off, and that we all have a right to be disgusted with how we are treated. 😉
