Hey Occulties,

A lot of you have asked my opinion on spell kits, so I figured I’d give it my opinion here publicly.

First and foremost, I probably have no idea of what is in your spell kit. 😉 I have never used one, and I’m not normally privy to what people put in their spell kits. I could call the store who made it and ask, but you could, too. 😉 So, in admitting that I have no freaking clue what someone is trying to market to you, and no idea if that person’s idea of the “one size fits all reconcilation spell,” is gonna fit your reconciliation needs, I can’t recommend any spell kit.

That being said, I can’t dismiss that it could be a perfectly wonderful kit for you to use because, again, I have no idea of the contents of said kit.

I know, how very wishy-washy of me. 😉 BUT, I’m coming to a more exact point, so stick with me.

The answer is this: If you only plan to take an interest in spellwork for a short time, and for a singular need, then by all means, purchase a spell kit from a reputable ritual shop. You probably have no need for a half an ounce of ritual oil (the only price break I can think of is “single servings” of incense, powder, and oils,) so this is probably your most affordable option. You should keep in mind that purchasing multiple spell kits is probably going to end up costing YOU more, but if you only want to work on ONE problem, or if you are a casual magic/k user…sure, why not. Get the spell kit.

If you think you will need more than one “shot” of spellwork, or that you consider yourself not just the casual user of spellcraft, or if you are uncertain that person’s spell will suit your need – don’t get the spell kit. Its a waste of money in such cases.

And there you go – this is my opinion on spell kits, and whether or not they are worth your time.

hey there- thanks for the advice, it answered my question from the board. I guess with the IS, the only part I don’t have is the IS oil, which to order it by itself is a waste of money.. not sure what to put in it to make it though. I know you don’t like to give out recipes but can you point me in the right direction on where to find it? I have everything else ready to go. 🙂 Thanks lady!!!

Nah, I always feel that using the Follow Me Boy (or girl, as the case mandates,) Commanding, and Return to Me oils are the ones to use, and not Intranquility oil.
I’ve seen various recipies for Intranquility oil, but none of them seemed similar to Cat Y’s, which I am not privy to. 😉 You might try Santeria Spellbook and Formulary by Carlos Montenegro. Several of the formulas are…not what I would recommend or even similar to what I was taught, but as memory serves he had an Intranquility formula that wasn’t half bad.
