Hi there, Occultey friends!

Today I’m bringing you another edition of everyone’s favorite type of article, Questions You’ve Asked Me. Here I answer the good, the bad, and the weird questions I’ve been asked. I hope you find this enlightening or at the very least amusing. 😉

Q: What is your spell advice for someone involved with a married wo/man (when I am not the spouse of this person)?

A: I would first recommend you never involve yourself with a married or romantically-paired person, next I’d remind you that any wo/man who will cheat on their spouse to be with you, will cheat on you, and lastly, its not spell advice, but I’d recommend you start dating someone new – someone who IS NOT someone’s spouse next time.

It never ceases to amaze me how some people see nothing wrong in dating a married or attatched person, and then are surprised when the married/attatched person cheats on them as well! 😛

If you haven’t noticed, I don’t plan to help you tear apart a marriage. 🙂 You might also take a gander at this article, which is very very very right about cheaters. 🙂

Listen, I understand the urge to look, or even think – HELL, even to fantasize about the unavailable people, but do you really want to be with someone who would cheat on a person they vowed in front of God and all their loved ones to love above all others and to never cheat on? I didn’t think so.

Q: What herbs are good for increasing psychic power, and what color/s are used with candles for psychic spells?

A: A few herbs useful for psychiscm would be: Star Anise, Uva Ursi, Mugwort, Hops Flowers (placed in a pillow to have the scent inhaled during sleep for prophetic dreams,) Bethel Root, Celery Seed, Dandelion, Eyebright, and Calendula (this is not a full or complete list of appropriate herbs, but should help you.)

As for colors appropriate for candles to use in spells to increase psychic power, some might advise dark blue, but I’ve always felt purple is the best color choice for this particular type of spellcasting.

Q: What good book would you recommend for a beginner?

A: Right now I’m recommending Papa Jim’s Herbal Magic Workbook, by Papa Jim, and A Century of Spells, by Draja Mickaharic.

Q: Do planets other than Mercury go retrograde?

A: Yes, all planets turn retrograde at some time or another, and each has an effect on daily life.

Q: How can I speed up spell manifestation?

A: No one is going to like this answer, but…. By proper action. 😛 Oh, boy, I sure suck, huh? If you can act in a manner helpful to the spell, not obsess about the spell, not antagonize your target or test your spell, it will manifest faster.

Q: Is meditiation helpful to spellcasting?

A: I think so! Any excercise you can do to strengthen your focus is very helpful. 🙂 I find that my readers who report that they meditiate often have faster results than those readers who do not. I have long recommended the book You Are Psychic! by Pete A. Sanders as a good book for training your psychic powers, but it also includes some wonderful tips on meditation.

Hope everyone enjoyed this installment of Questions You’ve Asked Me. 🙂

Thanks for the great blog. Here is another question: How do you know something happened as a result of your spell and not just by chance. I tried my first “negativity back at you” combined with “neighbor out of my life” spell and the target accidently shot someone in the leg a few weeks later. It would seem logical that was the manifestation but are there any other clues?

I don’t believe in coincendence, and I think you are just being TOO DOUBTFUL of yourself. Give yourself a break! The spell manifested, and its manifestation is all the proof.

I use eBay and Amazon to get most of my books these days. This isn’t something I suspect Borders will have on hand, but you can also use this ISBN number to order it to any place:
    0-942272-64-1
Having worked in bookstores, giving the clerk the ISBN is the fastest easiest method for them to use. I believe you can also search certian online bookstores with the ISBN as well.

Your QYAM posts are lots of fun to read. XD
RE: the question about speeding up spell manifestation —
Your reply was “By proper action. […] If you can act in a manner helpful to the spell, not obsess about the spell, not antagonize your target or test your spell, it will manifest faster.”
What is the proper action? And what do you mean about obsessing about the spell and/or testing it?

Basically don’t obsess about the outcome of the spell, which is gone over here, first question: http://originalninjacat.typepad.com/my_weblog/2007/01/questions_youve.html and don’t antagonize the target (which just means some people like to tease or threaten their targets, and that’s not good,) and there are also several posts regarding “proper action makes for fast manifestation,” ie don’t think the spell to death and don’t act against the spell. For example, if you wanted your ex to come back, acting crazy towards them and telling them you hate them would be acting against your spell. 😉 The recent post, “Goodness this Again,” which is the post before this goes over these ideas in some capacity.
