Often people use communication spellwork to get a lost loved one to make contact that they (usually quite mistakenly) believe that communication being made will be what they want to hear. Sometimes opening up communication just opens up the flood gates of what you didn’t want to hear…or maybe your ex is just going to call asking if you still have his gymsocks or her hairbrush. Either way, “negative” communication…or just non-emotional communication is still communication and the spell would be (supposing you just used straight out ‘call me’ spellcraft, lol) accomplishing it’s end.

If you are overcome with a want to hear someone loves you or needs you or has to be with you, it’s often better to use love and/or reconciliation spellcraft. If you feel the target is just not speaking about his or her feelings to you, and you’ve already applied recon or love spellcraft, then you might use a spell to get him or her to contact you. HOWEVER, be prepared to hear whatever this person has to say – there is a chance you won’t like it.
