Cat’s Rants: Confessions of an Occult Mastermind

Everything you ever wanted to know about Hoodoo, Rootwork, or the Occult! The internet’s longest running occult blog, established 2004

Hi Occulties,

Continuing on with the topic started here.

After having touched on a 2 methods of sweetening your target towards you (one simple, one more complex,) I’d like to move on to a few candle spells you might try also. I find many of my readers are most comfortable with using candle spells, and seem to have the most success with them over more complicated forms of spellwork, but if you’re not one of those people, or if you can’t burn candles in your home, please stay tuned for the next part of the Reconciling a Friendship series. 🙂

As you may have noticed, I exclusively used Hoodoo Roots formulas in my last post. As Dara and Karma are the only two workers currently making formulas (suchas oils,) that I would recommend to the public (most everyone else that I know to sell formulas and who’s formulas I’ve tried at this writing are making sub-par crap – if you love your stuff, give me a link and I’ll happily try a few products at my own cost after having a chat with you as well, because I’d love to be able to recommend more than two sellers, – ) I’d like to recommend both these ladies’ products, however, at this writing, Karma has recently moved, and has not put any stock back up. Please use the link in this paragraph to check out her store. She may very well have resumed offering products to the public when you read this article. I will also check back at a later time and try to link her products to those specified here in these posts. That aside, I also love Dara’s (Hoodoo Roots) products, which are made with 100% organic herbs and herbal essences – no fragrance oils in them, nothing synthetic – it’s 100% awesome stuff. 😉 I would shamelessly promote both Karma and Dara’s products to anyone, and neither of these women have ever asked me to do so, the products are just that good. 😀

There are a few candle spells you might try for reconciling a friendship. This first one I’ll share should be downright simple for most people. It’s (in my opinion,) easy enough for the novice spellcaster.

As always, keep your intentions realistic. If you assume you can cast a spell on the friend you’re fighting with, while you still act like a jerk to that person, don’t expect good results. The idea here is to make peace and reconcile, not to make the other person grovel for forgiveness while you keep up the bad behavior. Most of my readers would know this without being told, but I know there’s always a few in the audience of the rant room who need it said. 😉

You will need:
1 golden orange candle*
1 pink candle*
1 light blue candle*
A heat-proof tray with sand in it**
A picture of the target
A picture of the petitioner
Peace Between Us oil
Reconciliation oil

*If at all possible, you want all three to be from the same maker who is using the same mold. I like votive candles for this type of working, but if you prefer a different shape or size, I recommend only that you do not use figural (shaped like a person or object) candles in this particular working.

**I am a big fan of fire safety. Please use a thick reusable pie plate or cake tin or even sheet cake tin which you’ve placed sand in. I tend to use traction sand, but if you live somewhere warmer, you might have a harder time finding this. I am sure any form of sand (not dust or soil,) will work perfectly fine. The sand distributes the heat and prevents fire accidents very nicely. Strongly recommended, but if you do not use this, please watch your candles when they burn low and make sure they burn out without causing fire issues.
