Cat’s Rants: Confessions of an Occult Mastermind

Hey everyone,

So this has been a question in my inbox, therefore I decided to show some images and I hope this is helpful. 🙂

Start by punching 5 holes in the top of a candle with a sharp object. For dark work, I use an old screwdriver. For positive work I use a knitting needle, seen here above.

Sprinkle lightly with proper herbs (this will depend on what sort of spell you are trying to cast.) Add 1-3 drops each of the ritual oils you’re using for your spell. Hold the candle and try to envision what change you desire it to bring to your life, trying to mentally send this into the candle, and/or say a prayer or statement of your intention while you keep the mental image of what you want the candle to accomplish in your mind’s eye.

You’ve now blessed and dressed a seven day candle for yourself. You may pat yourself on the back if you’d like. 🙂

PS- Don’t forget to make a name paper, and to say a chant when the candle is lit. A simple all-purpose candle burning chant you can use would be “Candle of power, burning bright, create my desires for me tonight. Candle’s flame, candle’s fire, bring to me that which I desire:” (herein state what you want.) “This spell shall not reverse, nor place upon me any curse – as is my will, so be it!” and then allow the candle to burn out.
