Hey there kids,

It's time for another edition of Questions You've Asked Me, which is basically at least half of my reader's favorite category. 😉

Q: What is the longest manifestation phase you've ever heard of and/or have seen?

A: I have known a few stories where a few years passed (and told to me by people not known for telling tall tales,) but, first-hand, without having worked on something in a long time I've seen things where I hit my mark but didn't realize it until years later, however I don't know that I've ever seen something hit more than maybe 6-8 months later. By this I mean, I don't know as I personally would feel the spell is going to manifest after such a delay.

I think, as I said above, the most common problem is the spell hits, but in such a fashion as the petitioner does not see the desired effect, or notice it's impact late after it has effected the target/s. So, you want your boyfriend to be more communicative with you, but what you REALLY want is for him to tell you how he loves and adores you. Instead, you cast this spell, and the guy won't shut up, but he's still not telling you how he loves you…instead he has a passion for football and cars (two things you don't care much about) and that's all he talks about, and for hours now. OK, so that spell did work, it just didn't do what you wanted. That is obvious. However, if you did a spell, for example, to make your ex wracked with guilt over mistreating you, you might never know he or she is devastated even though s/he is absolutely torn up about it, because this person doesn't feel capable or comfortable expressing this to you now that you're broken up. However, since the spell DOES actually hit it's mark, often the results are seen (or discovered) well after they were desired – again with making an ex wracked with guilt, if you found out, 3 years later, that your ex was suicidally upset over you a few years before, and just out of the blue, that isn't the spell manifesting then, it's you finding out it did something then.

Q: You spoke recently about going "against someone's nature" – can you explain that a bit more?

A: Sure. All of us have personalities because we are all "natured" a certain way. Perhaps I don't like to be bossed or smothered, perhaps I tend to become introverted when I am upset, perhaps I require more communication, perhaps I like loud noise (or don't like it), but all of these little tendencies often are part of my nature. So, if I'm someone who is easily smothered, a feeling of being bound to that person (which a binding might elicit in a target,) will make me panic and be uncomfortable. If, by nature, I prefer to be alone, a spell to keep me in your presence all of the time might make me combative and angry. If I tend to become very defensive and angry when I'm sad, to use a spell to make me feel guilt and remorse may even end in an argument. :P

This is why I always say "know your target." You need to consider who this person is and how they are wired. It's why I ask prospective buyers to speak to me about their situation. What works well to get the right response out of one target will be different in another. By trying to guide the influence of the spell WITH someone's nature (rather than against it) I am more likely to create the strongest outcome.

If, however, you need to push someone against their own nature (for whatever cause) try to keep it a temporary influence.

Hopefully that clears things up and doesn't send more worried queries from people who imagine monsters every time I offer advice that points out disaster may ensue if it is not followed. 😉 If there is one spot of advice I can give, it's that you will mess up a few times casting spells…it's how you learn to get better. So, if you're spellcasting for yourself, don't fill yourself with fear – dare to do the work, believe you made the right choices and wait for it to manifest…but if you keep hitting the same wall with your manifestations start asking why and see if adjusting your own work will fix the situation to make it how you want.

Q: I need $10k by next week, and I don't even get paid minimum wage because I have no part-time or full time job, nor do I own any possessions which would cost that much, and further I have no skills that anyone will pay me a high hourly rate to provide, MoMoneyso…can a money spell help here?

A: No, probably not. There seems to be a gross misunderstanding that comes up in my inbox every mercury retrograde (though is likely held year round) that a spell for money can somehow create a massive income stream when such an amount is so far outside your sphere of availability that I would recommend deeming that outcome almost impossible.

Money spells DO increase income, but remember this money has to come from somewhere. If you expect that somewhere to be a hole opening up in the sky and dropping a bundle of cash in your lap, you're going to be highly disappointed. If however a promotion, a new job that pays better (that you are qualified to do, but perhaps has been difficult to pin down WITHOUT spells,) increased sales at your business, or even things like large sums owed to you would help a great deal, then you should DEFINITELY try spells to increase money.

I do understand sometimes any one of us can get ourselves into a fix that is well outside of our financial means, and I also understand how it can be fun to dream of being rich (though the reality might not meet the fantasy, depending on how your mind works, heh,) especially if the finances would come to ourselves effortlessly. With the first problem, you might offer prayer to St Expedite or St Anthony of Padua, – both of whom I have found to work very quickly if they are willing to be of help (but be sure to ask for what you need rather than some unnecessary large sum or else you're apt to find yourself without their help.) With the second? I know more hilarious "how I didn't win the lottery" stories from more than one trust worthy spellcaster than I do of stories where someone even won a few thousand dollars using magic to manipulate the odds in their favor. It isn't that occultists don't try for that huge amount of effortless cash…it's that the success there is so small (from what I have seen) and the returns sometimes close to non-existent, that I would really give you a much stronger push towards increasing the streams of income already available to you – better job/better paying job, increased sales, etc., as I have seen these types of workings manifest much more often, and with lasting and favorable results.

Q: How important do you feel timing is when in regards to spellcasting (for example, planetary hours, specific days of the week, moon cycle, solar cycle, etc.)?

A: I really like astrology, but I do understand it a little bit better than the average bear. I am certainly not at the level (or near it) that someone like Christopher Warnock is at in my understanding of astrology, but what knowledge I have gleaned of it on my own has shown me that even a mild understanding of it can better predict – and create – the outcome of a situation.

That aside, I view this as "fine tuning," which is not a view shared by all other spellcasters out there. First, if there is a need, sometimes the only time to do the work is RIGHT THIS SECOND, and that might have to disregard all of these factors like what the sun is doing, what the moon is doing, what Venus is doing, and etc. If such is the case, astrology might be useful in seeing how the manifestation plays out (because all of those planets will have some influence over your work,) after the work has been done, but I would not overly concern myself with those matters if the spell was done out of necessity.

It is better to DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE, than it is to tie oneself up with little details when one is first starting out. This doesn't mean I don't respect timing, planetary influences, or anything like that – I have a great deal of respect for timing with spellcasting, – but the neophyte can easily be overwhelmed in more than one case if they are told it is a necessity to know every movement of the heavens and it's meaning in regards to how auspicious the timing is. Instead, start by familiarizing yourself with the days of the week and their correspondences, and the correspondences of the lunar cycle. We've been over both in here before, so I will, this time, save myself from repetition. 😉 When you feel secure with both of these practices and no longer require a book, blog, or another spellcaster to tell you what a Wednesday during the first quarter of the moon cycle is for, now apply planetary hours and learn the correspondences for the solar movement (movement of the sun,) – and when you're secure with both of those practices, then voila! you are now spellcasting with more concern on timing that many adepts.

I guess, in brief, I do feel it is important to recognize how timing can fine tune your results to what you would like, but I also feel that it is more important that you learn to cast the spell (and that is not always easy – that's the main part of the work right there,) without getting worried that if you do it at 5:35pm exactly that hell and brimstone shall rain upon your works for so doing. 😉 A lot of the work I cover here on the blog would not bring that outcome, but the fear of a "bad outcome," would stop many of my readers from learning and practicing, which I don't like. :P

Q: You speak a lot on psychological reactions in your work on relationships – do you feel that someone should understand basic psychology to be successful with love magic?

A: I believe that it is only helpful to understand psychology as well as human pair-bonding as well as you possibly can in that situation, but it is certainly not required of you, no. A lot of my written work in understanding love magic, while it does use some psychology, is because I feel people often gloss over the problems causing that relationship to be dysfunctional, which is the cause of needing love spells as is. It never really struck me as helpful to suggest to another that if they just take a few actions that a relationship can be made whole or workable again, because I know from my own experience that love is not enough to make something work. However, if some simple behavioral suggestions can repair a decaying bond (or create a new lasting bond) between two people, then I would rather people have access to that information, rather than using spells as a band-aid to keep drawing someone back while engaging in the same problem behaviors that keep the desired party away.

However, even with no understanding of psychology, I feel people can successfully work love spells on another person. I guess I just try to offer an insight because I feel it's helpful – not because I wish to imply everyone needs to hit a few psych textbooks before trying a love spell. 😉

Alrightey, that's all for now, kids. 🙂 Hope to have a new article up for you soon!

*Yeah, I'm totally aware that the sun is a star and the moon is a satellite and neither is a planet. In astrology they are called planets. Deal with it. 😛
