Hey occulties,
So the other day we discussed not trying to change someone's nature or stay in a bad situation, and while that's valid even now, let's discuss something else…
Remember, everyone is reacting to how you act. If someone is acting out, change how you act towards them. Not every relationship problem is solved with magic – sometimes you just have to alter one tiny part of your own behavior. But yep, like the other day when I posted the prep-for-this-spell article, remember, if someone is a jerk to you, fixing a failing relationship may mean just endearing a complete jerk to you. It happens. Use the following wisely.
OK, so someone is losing interest, and nothing you do seems to work….they're picking fights, wanting distance, and although you've offered no resistance to them needing space, and (hopefully) aren't arguing, it's pretty obvious that your most-beloved is about to step out the (figurative) door and give you (metaphorical) walking papers…what do you do to stop this from happening?
While I can't guarantee it hasn't gone so far that you can stop them, preventative measures are easier to enforce than full reconciliation, so I'm glad to help you try…
You will need:
2 pink figural candles to represent yourself and your lover/boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse (one representing each sex that you are, boy/girl, boy/boy, girl/girl.)
A white ribbon
A light blue ribbon
A pink ribbon
Honey (or sweet syrup like Karo, or even maple syrup)
Dirt from a churchyard (preferably a church one of you attends, if applicable)
Rosemary
Tobacco
A fire proof container like a sheetcake tin
Sand (optional)
A personal item from yourself (or the petitioner)
A personal item from the target (hair, a fingernail, spittle, etc)*
Stay at Home oil (or stay with me – similar titles probably do the same thing)
Flame of love (or flame of desire or similar)
Follow Me Boy/Girl (Straight ladies and gay men use follow me boy, heterosexual gents and gay ladies use follow me girl)
Set the candles for each party as per instructions in this post. Anoint your candles with ~3 drops of each oil and anoint the candles UPWARD (base to wick) using seven strokes of your writing hand. Roll both in your dirt, rosemary, and tobacco.
Set up your altar so that you've filled your fireproof tray with some sand (optional, but recommended – it's fireproof and awesome) and set you figurals so that they are bound together with your ribbons. Each ribbon should be knotted NINE TIMES, for a total of 27 (9 on each ribbon) and the "couple" facing each other. (Have the two figural candles facing each other.) Drizzle the couple with your honey (or sweet syrup) – I use a spiral which goes outward in a clockwise fashion, but if that's too fancy for you, an x will do.
Charge the candles by holding your hands on either side of the bound couple and envisioning, in your mind's eye, the couple gazing into each other's eyes with deep love and affection, while also envisioning blue, white, and pink energy surging into the candles with this image, until the candles seem "full." If you feel you can't send energy into things, just try to keep this mental picture for a few minutes before you begin.
Light the candle of the petitioner first, and say**: "(Full name of petitioner), you shine like a light in the darkness to (full name of target,) and draw them to you like a moth to flame."
Now light the candle of the target, and say: "(Full name of target,) you find yourself full of sweetness and of warmth for (name of petitioner,) your love is enflamed for (him/her.)"
Hold your hands to either side of the couple, and say: "Spirits in this place, draw together this couple, and keep them close. Strengthen their bonds of love and affection, let them burn with love and desire for each other. Keep them close, heal the bonds between them, and keep them close to one another. As it was said in the first days, 'This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh, and they two were one flesh.' As is my will, so be it!"
Allow the candles to burn out (yes, you can stop holding your hands on either side of them now,) and when they have done so, take the largest remaining piece of each colored cord, tying them together in 3 knots, and hide these somewhere in the house of the target where he or she will not discover them. Take the rest of the spell remains and leave them in an area to the EAST of your home before noon, walking away from this area without, looking back.***
The relationship between the couple should soon improve. 🙂

*It's not my place to tell you where and how to get personal items, but if you're living with someone, I can reasonably assume that they leave hair, spit, blood, snot, anything within your range. When I've lived with a person I dated, I had access to almost every bodily fluid and hair in existence from that person. Soooooo, be creative. I have faith in you. 🙂
**If you, the spellcaster, are the petitioner, say: "I, (your full name) shine like a light in the darkness to (target's full name), and draw them to me like a moth to flame."
***Because someone always asks, (and, yes, a different person each time) this is a decisive move and carries it's own power. Once you have left the area, should you pass by it again, you may definitely look. The idea is to walk out of there in a determined fashion without casting doubt by looking over your shoulder.
