Hey Occulties,

So, a lot of you seem to be having similar issues, which the number one most-common is, not-at-all-surprisingly, LUST FOR RESULTS, aka thinking a spell to death, aka obsessing about the situation and/or people involved so much that you are destroying your spell's ability to manifest. I go over this a lot in here, so if you're rolling your eyes at this, there's yet more to this article, and skip to the next bold type.

OK, kiddos, so quick test – if you do a spell for something you're not obsessed or anxious to have, or you do the same spell for something you are absolutely obsessed and/or anxious to have, which is apt to manifest faster? Caveat, no ridiculous things like "Make me turn into a unicorn." Instead let's say you cast a super simple spell for $50 – in the case where you're not anxious to have it, you have $4000 in your bank account and no bills due, and in the case you're anxious to have it, you need $50 to cover your rent and if you don't get it, you'll get evicted in 2 days.

"HOLY CRAP," some of you are saying "if I don't need $50, why is it coming to me faster when I have plenty of money, than if I am going to be evicted WITHOUT that $50? That's so unfair!"*

Well, yes and no. Let me clarify this…in the one case, you're obsessing and not ALLOWING the spell energy to manifest. It isn't that you do or do not deserve the money, it's that your energy (thoughts and emotions carry plenty of energy) are stopping the spell from manifesting. I have gone over this before.

TAKE YOUR DEATH CLOCK AND SHOVE IT.

Again, this is a review, so please forgive me for being repetitive. Skip down to the next bold type if you don't need review.

So as many of you have probably guessed, myriads of people ask me things like "When will this happen?" and they forget (because they don't like this answer) that the only right answer for "When will a spell manifest" is "when it does." This isn't to annoy you. In fact, while we can ballpark an approximate manifestation time, or even attempt to use methods of divination to grasp when something should start manifesting, the spell PROBABLY DOES NOT COME WITH AN EXPIRATION DATE. So, if you, via divination, get a time frame of about 2 weeks manifestation, and 16 days have passed, don't decide your spell is not working.

See a weird thing seems to happen to people who place "expiration dates" (manifestation dates) on their spellwork. If you say to yourself "If my spell hasn't manifested by (x date), it didn't work, or something is wrong," very often you just put the order out to the universe for the spell to NOT MANIFEST. Don't ask me why, it just happens very often.

"That isn't fair!"* some of you say, "I deserve** a concrete answer!" And would that I could just tell you the exact moment all things would come together. Believe me. The stress levels would drop, the amount of whining and bitching and rudeness would stop, and yet…I can give you a BALLPARK FIGURE, and not a CONCRETE DATE. So you need to avoid lust for results (see above) and placing an exact date for everything to happen by. See, when you relax, and go on with your life, with the idea that what you want is already yours (it's just like something you got off of Amazon.com and will be here when it ships,) instead of nervously working yourself into a froth until it arrives, driving yourself (and in some cases, me as well,) insane until it does.

We've been over this before in here. 😉

HOW TO TEXT SOMEONE YOU'VE FALLEN OUT OF TOUCH WITH***

While I'm sure it will surprise no one, I have a lot of people who want to poke the proverbial bear and see if their target is going to respond, post-spellcasting. I'm assuming (perhaps wrongly,) that you are not working a type of spell which requires the target to initiate contact, AND that you're at least on polite and semi-speaking terms (like they won't call the cops if you contact them, lol,) with your target. The caveat here is that f you're not on pleasant terms with this person, they may not be so accepting.

Find anything you could talk to them about which would be important – holidays and birthdays do best – and then PM or text them something no more complext than "Happy Birthday!! Hope you're having an awesome day!" or "Merry Christmas! Hope you're having an awesome holiday!" Do not make it longer or more complex than that.

If they are interested in talking, it will start a conversation.

AVOID phone calls (in most cases,) – they tend to be far-less well received. ALSO, DO NOT BRING UP THE PAST. DO NOT USE THE OPPORTUNITY TO GROVEL. And be brief! You will come off as making the situation more awkward otherwise. I have a few pointers on how not to f— up your reconciliation here, as well. 🙂

Alrighty, kiddos, sorry for the review. I'll be posting a spell article shortly. 😀

**I deserve to be married to Ryan Gosling, also that guy who plays Thor, and be Queen of the Universe, but here I am, an underpaid, overworked internet occultist and writer. Ah well. (shrugs)
***This is good advice for anyone, probably even in non-spell situations
