Hey Occulties,
So a lot of my inquiries are regarding money lately, which I suspect is because Jupiter and Mercury are either both retrograde or about to be (I'd have to look, but I do know one definitely is retrograde and the other about to be if not already,) which can make things that do with business and money go haywire. With that in mind, I've decided to do a special edition of Questions You've Asked Me, – the success and money edition. 🙂
Q: I have read on your blog that you feel that money/success spellwork should be applied regularly, – does this mean I have to regularly do a spell to keep a job that I got using a spell?
A: No, once you have the job, you just need to keep doing your best work to keep the job…like showing up and doing the tasks expected of you, and etc. 😉 No spells needed, just good old fashioned work. This is the same with a promotion – once you've gotten the promotion, you don't need to keep casting spells to keep the promotion – you just have to do your best at your job. 🙂
I guess I'd say look at it like this…if I want a specific amount of money, or if I want a specific job, these are the types of working where you might compare this to, let's say, purchasing a refrigerator. While you might have to supply electricity to this appliance (much like you need to show up to your job and do a competent job while there,) you do not need to continuously purchase a new fridge every time you need to store some food. Now just saying "I want increased success at my job," or "I would like my cash flow to increase," might be a bit more like purchasing FOOD. Because there is no definitive amount or no definitive action (compare "I want money" to "I want $500") it is the type of work where you want to continually maintain the influence as it will fade after some time…much like one visit to the grocery store in your lifetime will not likely give you a lifetime supply of food – you need to maintain the amounts of food you have.
If I have any sort of definitive outcome to my spell (I want this specific job, I want to get a raise of this much, I want this exact amount of money,) the spell stops working once that outcome is achieved (you get what you want, but the spell energy doesn't need to remain active once you have), but if it is a goal without a definitive outcome, the energy will begin to fade after some time because the spell works as long as it can…it has a limited life like a battery. So if you do one "money blessing" type spell to increase income with no definitive amount being requested, eventually, like a battery on your smartphone, the energy runs out.
Hope that clarifies. :)
Q: I was awarded a settlement but am still not getting paid for the amounts promised. What kind of spell should I use?
A: There are a few different choices, and while the original querent was not so vague, I am being purposely so to be helpful to others, so, take into account a few things… Who is paying this settlement? Do they have the means to pay it? Is this a business (if the party owing the payment to the claim is a business) which tends to have a fast or slow turnaround with paying out a claim or settlement? Is this an amount owed from an estate (ie someone died and left you something)?
I find, often, that the most frequent problem in these sort of cases is that the person owed the money is often either unaware of the length of a wait on certain proceedings (like getting paid from an estate, which can take close to a year sometimes…perhaps more, though that is the longest I've seen a non-contested estate take,) or is aware of that wait and thinks that they can cut it in half just because they want to. 😉 While I hate to rain on anyone's parade, if it takes, say, an average of 8 months for you to get the proceeds from an estate, it will probably remain close to that number if you work a spell or not, but you can try. Assuming the estate is uncontested, I would use roadopener or blockbuster spells, as well as money drawing work.
Another problem is that people awaiting settlements from a PERSON do not take into account what that person's financial means are. You may very well owe me $5000, let's say, and you may have $5 to your name and no job (which makes me suspect you are probably one of my ex boyfriends, since pretty much all of them owe me money, ha ha.) In these cases, you can use a form of intranquility to make the target want to pay you back, make them overcome with the need to do so, but keep in mind, if they are always broke, you may still need to wait. They need the MEANS to be ABLE to pay you, and if they often are unemployed or underemployed, it will take some time for them to come up with the money. Again, roadopening and money drawing are helpful here, but you will want to overwhelm them with guilt and remorse for not paying you, and you will need to wait for them to be able to pay. :P
If you're awaiting payment on a claim, like an insurance claim, work on your adjuster (make him or her like you, and want to get you the most that he or she can get, to not dispute your claims) by using a sweet jar (not for romance, obviously, haha,) or if they are just dragging their ass (like the dude who did my housefire claim,) light a magical fire under said ass. One way I've done this is by taking a red person candle (so a male candle for a male, a female for a female) which is set so it represents the target (see here), some devil's shoestrings which I've written a command which in this case something like "Pay out my claim now" would work just fine, and have written this in Sharpie (permanent marker) ink, then soaked the devil's shoestrings and wrapped them around the candle, and then sprinkled it with some cayenne, cinnamon, and dirt dauber nest I've mixed together, and did a candle spell on it as so. This might be a bit complex…if you have their business card, you can do plenty of work on them, and in most cases, the adjuster will give you his or her card. 😉 So, assuming most of you don't want to spend half the day soaking some devil's shoestrings (if you can even get them where they are long enough, since a lot of places don't sell good long pieces,) take the adjuster's card, and anoint the edges with something like "Pay me now" oil (most places sell something with a similar title) and place this underneath a magnet that you've put your own image on (using your computer printer, some glue, and getting magnets from Amazon.com or a crafting store is SUPER EASY,) and as you place the magnet, say "(Name of adjuster,) pay my claim to me immediately, now, now, this very moment!" 9 times. I realize unless you are a sloth, the magnet will be placed before you finish that sentence once, so hold your right hand over the magnet as you say this. Again (and I'm sure you're noticing a theme), using roadopening and money drawing work is always helpful in this situation, too. 🙂
Keep in mind, more often than not, a settlement, a claim, or a repayment is going through a lot of proverbial red tape, and roadopening is going to do a lot more for you than most other kinds of spells…you need to clear a path for this money to get to you. Certainly, you are going to have situations where someone (or some business) is with holding their payment to you out of reasons of spite, to be difficult, or to hope they won't have to fully pay you, but it seems to me that most of the time when a settlement or claim is taking a long time to pay out, it is not arising from someone having a personal issue with you. Insurance companies make a lot of commercials saying how they will support you, not punish you for using their insurance by making a claim, and be quick to pay out, but in reality, if you do need to file a claim, just the waiting for the money, especially if it's your home which is damaged to the point of being unlivable, or it is making it so your business can't run (and you can't be paid,) is going to feel like you're waiting decades to get your money, even if there is a quick turnaround. Many insurance companies and adjusters do a great job, and work as quickly as possible, so don't get too miffed if your claim isn't paid out in a week. ;)
But if you can say that you're not acting hastily since we live in a society where we've become all too accustomed to getting what we want right this second, and you can definitely say this settlement/claim is taking far too long, take into account why this delay could be entirely normal, only to be sure it is not, then you need to work on the party who owes you the money as well as road opening and money drawing. Some Fast Luck might also be applied to the money drawing. Sweetening the party who owes you money, making them act quickly using spellwork, or creating guilt and remorse for owing the debt are all going to help you in recouping your money as well. You should approach the problem on multiple levels for the best results.
Furthermore, while you wait for the money to come to you, remember you can still do work to draw income and money to yourself to help with any expenses you might be incurring while waiting for the settlement/claim/inheritance to be paid out.
Q: Are there spells to make me more charismatic and liked by the owners/bosses of a company?
A: Yes, Crown of Success is a traditional formula used for just this, and there are some more modern formulas made even know to help with making you seem more charismatic to those around you – I think Dara over at Hoodoo Roots even has a formula called Charisma for helping with just that exact issue. But if I'm just sticking with the classics Crown of Success is the most commonly used formula for success in the workplace or in school. (Please note, Dara's "crown of success" is "Star of Success," if looking for that formula.)
Furthermore some people will work a sweet jar on an employer or teacher to make this person (or these people) feel more kindly towards them…if you have a boss, manager, or teacher who seems to be against you no matter what you do, this is a perfect solution. Being more "charismatic" might have the opposite effect in these cases, as this person might be jealous or might hold against you that others find you more likable.
If you just want to stand out from the crowd, use a purple or gold (yellow orange) color candle dressed in crown of success (anoint up, from base to wick), add some bay laurel leaves, and burn this over your business card.
There are a myriad of similar spells that you can use to help with the above problem, but keep in mind, just appearing to be the best employee, or just standing out doesn't change your job performance in the long run. All too often people want to be lazy or just have some sort of recognition that they have in no way done anything to be deserving this recognition. While this might be fine in the short term, if you're not doing anything to improve your performance, or if it is lackluster most of the time, then keep in mind, the influence will be limited. You do have to work with the spell. Yes, making you more charismatic might be helpful if you lack this trait, but if you are not performing at your best at your job, you won't reap the full benefits.
Now this isn't to say that there are not formulas and spells which would be helpful in this respect – to help you improve your own performance. You can use crown of success and apply this to studying or perhaps making sales, getting accounts, etc. It is a very versatile formula. Again, however, you still need to apply yourself to trying to achieve these goals – there is no spell or ritual that I know of that will instantly give you skills that you don't have. If I can't speak Mandarin Chinese, I'm not going to learn it in a week just because I cast a spell.
So while there is definitely work you can do to help you in this regard, you always need to work with your spell to achieve a permanent status of appraisal…show up on time, be dilligent, etc.
And yeah, you can do work to make yourself procrastinate less, but if you are, by nature, a procrastinator, you will have to keep doing that spellwork…and procrastinators tend to procrastinate even on doing the spells, so it won't matter.
Q: Can I do a money spell that will make me win the lottery?
A: I answer this all of the time, but I know more hilarious fail stories (like getting all the numbers for the powerball or whatever in a DIAGONAL LINE on a quick pick ticket of x number of plays,) from respected occultists, and no real "big win" stories, so I'd stick to either trying to gamble with skill (for example, poker,) or trying to get money from working.
Trying to win a large jackpot via spellwork doesn't seem to work well…I assume it is because the win is life-changing enough to possibly be more a situation of providence than it is putting the odds in your favor.
Q: Can I use money/job spells to get a job that I am in no way qualified for?
A: For the ten millionth time, no. If you need schooling or experience, spellwork can't give you that form of accreditation. If you are not a good actor or singer or athelete, spellwork is not likely to change that, either. 😉
Hope that was enlightening!
