Hey occulties,
Its time for another addition of Questions You’ve Asked Me!
Q: If the moon is full, will that make the spell stronger?
A: No, probably not. In most cases someone asking this assumes that the full moon, being itself the completion of the WAXING or GROWING lunar cycle means that a full moon brings or grows the influence of the spell the greatest amount. This actually entirely wrong. If using a lunar influence, the first quarter, that is the first days after the new moon before it reaches half full, have the strongest influence for growing an influence or drawing something to you. The full moon itself is inert. In fact the day after the full moon, until the end of the third quarter, is the strongest part of the lunar cycle for removing something or pushing it away from you or lessening it’s influence.
I can always tell an unpracticed newbie by their belief that the full moon is somehow helpful to draw a thing to them or grow its influence. It’s got it’s purposes but most involve keeping an influence STABLE. Not drawing it to you, not remove it, but keeping it strong and stable.
Q: How can you estimate a manifestation time if, as you claim, “the only right answer for ‘how long this will take to manifest?’ is as long as it needs to’”?
A: Experience. First how long would it likely take if I’d not been asked and the petitioner wasn’t aware I was casting it (which I determine based on a few existing mundane factors and average manifestation times) then add 2 weeks. It’s a legitimate enough concern and I fault no one for asking but the question is one that signals proclivity towards lust for results, death-clocking (fail by dates,) and other spell-slowing behaviors so it will take 2 weeks more than it should generally. If I’m overly concerned on how long something will take for work I do for myself I even add a few weeks to what I expect normally. Obsessive anxiety is no joke. And we all get it sometimes. But even in small doses it slows manifestation! 🫤 I’ll often refuse to work for someone too riddled with lust for results but yep, even a mild case can add 2 weeks!
Q: Can I use a broken or used candle in a spell?
A: Within reason you can use a broken candle, but honestly it’s less useful than one without breaks. It’s substandard in many workings, though if the break is made intentionally, (and I can think of a few spells where this is done,) is not the same as an item which was poorly shipped, handled, or stored and suffered damages for it. As far as a used candle, so long as it wasn’t used in another spell and you have most of the candle, you may use it, but this is, again, not as good as a fresh unused one. Remember, half-assing out of laziness or stinginess is BAD in magic. Spirits take notice and your lackadaisical and careless behaviors can mean a far lesser result. So if you are broke and that broken or used candle is all there is and you NEED a candle, and buying one is the difference between eating or not, you use the broken/used one. If you can’t get a fresh candle in time and there is a need NOW, you use the broken/used one. If you just don’t feel like going to the store to replace and and knew it was broken for days, you get your lazy ass to the store.
It’s better to use something than nothing, but if you’re not putting in effort, expect less back from your spell work.
Q: If you were going to recommend how to enlist the aid of a for-hire spellcaster who isn’t yourself, how would you go about it?
A: I’ve answered this a few times, but as technology changes, the answer does to some extent as well. However my first instruction in said how-to remains the same which is know something about how spells work and about spells. If you are as ignorant of the practice as the vast majority of people are, it’s easy to be fooled. If you know a little about spellcasting yourself, you’re already going to be apt to choose a caster who’s legitimate. The second instruction is basically the same which is don’t trust reviews. Most of them are either false positive or false negative. I think in all my years in the planet that the only reasonably apt reviews online I’ve ever found about anything came from Amazon and when I recently saw a horrible ritual supply product on there being positively reviewed, even that has me wondering, haha. Now refer to my first instruction, as this bears on the second. I have had people blame me for bad outcomes when doing the absolute opposite of my instructions. So this would be like buying a microwave then complaining when you threw it in your bathtub to wash it, it stopped working…and those around you agreeing it must not be a real microwave. 🙄 I once saw a review for a wand – a beautiful handcrafted wand made to specs with astrology and planetary correspondences and all being reviewed as fake because the purchaser waved it around and said some Harry Potter chant or something (which isn’t how wands are used in magic – not at all,) which of course wouldn’t cause anything to happen, and this jerk actually lost a very good craftsman some business being ignorant and posting that. That’s comparable to badly reviewing a hammer because owning one didn’t build you a house when you told it verbally to do so. Plus people always are exaggeratedly good or bad. So…avoid reviews. Approach the caster with a question regarding a type of service instead, and one you might be able to suss out the answer to. For example, do you use lunar correspondences in your work and if not, why? Or something about method. Use much more respectable resources than chat groups or message boards or Reddit to find the answer (those weird things people used to use called books are awesome,) and then match it with that of your spellcasters. Then if they have an intelligent reply, you know they are probably real. Next, ask them how much are you allowed to contact them (a real concern for some,) and if it costs more to do that. Ask real service questions. There are some people who expect a free 24/7 cheerleader. I know I don’t have time for that but I bet someone does. If their policies aren’t clear on their site, you ask directly. Only invest money when you’re comfortable. Outcomes are not guaranteed but you should at least get the desired amount of service you want.
I honestly have plenty of business and I don’t need anyone who’s hugely defensive or high maintenance taking up ten times the amount of time as one of my satisfied regulars so I’m glad to offer tips to find someone else legitimate and spend less time reassuring someone who is paranoid I’m out to get them. Feel free to ask my opinions on if something someone you are considering hiring sounds legit or fishy. I won’t get compensation for it from you or them so I have no reason to be anything but helpful. Outside of that just try using the above instructions.
I mean I don’t use any of the client-review lists passed around about some people, and they definitely aren’t kind about those who write the practitioner review stuff… it all seems like mean girls drama on both ends – so I’m glad when people ask me this stuff because I agree: sometimes it’s just hard to know what to trust with all this mud slinging. 20 years in this business and I’m still appalled by the bad behaviors on both sides sometimes. Use your brain and your instinct, that’s how to find a good spellcaster.
Q: If I curse a target I’m no longer in contact with, how do I know if the spell worked?
A: You can do a reading, but be careful in how you pose the question/ask for the desired information. This is a very important aspect of divination. Poorly posed questions tend to bring back answers which merely reflect the askers hopes or fears, which is already a risk if the querent is overly attached to the outcome.
However if you are patient (and sometimes greatly patient) I can honestly say every curse I’ve done for my own personal use has had the outcome thereof eventually revealed to me. Now if you’re working for yourself, that may be an option, but I know a lot of people who couldn’t stand waiting months or even longer to know. In that case, you should get a reading.
Q: Can I reuse witness samples/tag locks/personal concerns/related terms meaning the same thing?
A: You can’t reuse the same item in a different spell in most cases, although you could use the same picture as long as it’s not the exact same print of that picture which you had used. If you only have a limited amount of a thing – hair for example, just cut a small piece of the item off to use in your spell.
Q: Why do you use red sandalwood in your roadopener formula?
A: Because it is sacred to Ganesha who clears blockages and opens roads.
Q: What makes you so sure that one of your Reddit stalkers is some chick who tried to steal your husband? Maybe it really is a client!
A: Oh, one of them is a client who makes a few accounts and tried to blackmail me for free magic and if I didn’t, she said she’d bad mouth me all over Reddit. Let’s call her Emmy.
The other was never a client and that’s easy to suss out. See, I was arrested but not charged with underage drinking in 1997, a month from my 21st birthday (I’m old.) This is my sole arrest ever. She claims I was arrested for meth in Portland, Maine when I neither lived in Portland, Maine or even in Maine, nor had ever physically seen methamphetamine ever. The girl who wanted my husband used to call me meth head behind my back to my husband (who told me and even put her on speaker phone more than once when she would falsely accuse me of being in the middle of doing multiple things he knew I wasn’t since I was with him when she claimed it was supposedly going on.) Then there is the ongoing discussion of how well-off my family is, which was another thing this girl believed. She thought we were billionaires or something. I have multiple texts from her supporting this. Then to the fact that I’ve never said my husband’s name here or in any public forum. I’m a libertarian and do not legally marry. Therefore there is no legal record of our marriage and no traceable way to know who my husband is on social media…his Facebook isn’t his legal name or related thereto. She’s clearly not a client, she uses the same syntax and made-up “facts” the same as she does throughout the messages of hers I’ve saved now for the two years or so she’s been stalking me.
Basically Emmy/Pomegranate is someone else but then there’s the crazy one who talks about how ugly I am (which I could show you her pic and you’d understand why she’s so focused on you wanting to find me ugly as she was not blessed in looks herself, and clearly is angry about it,) what a pos my husband is including saying outright falsehoods about us both and claims I’m a meth head. If there’s absolutely no legal record of me having any drug problem or legal problem (because there’s absolutely no record of it, I assure you, as I’m not on drugs and have never even had them in my medical records much less a legal record of such use,) nor any way to know who I am married to and neither is anything I discuss and this person holds the same bizarre beliefs as the wanna-be failed homewrecker, who else could it be? I guess it could be another jealous girl but then the whole thought that I’m from an enormously rich family is one I’ve only ever heard from that one.
Quite honestly, I’m glad I finally got legal help. It’s sad that a failed homewrecker and a blackmail artist smeared me so badly before I did anything, but I guess I just believed a thinking person could see right through it without considering several of their readers had never met me anyhow, and had no point of comparison. I’m always happy to discuss any concerns you have privately.
Q: Can you tell me the best days of the week to work money spells?
A: I’ll do you one better, in order of best to good:
MONEY: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
LOVE: Friday, Monday, Wednesday
CURSING: Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday
The above are my three biggest requests so I helped with all three!
Hopefully this was educational! Thanks for reading!
