Success, Figural Candle Style

Hello My Darlings,

So, there have been a multitude of requests for SUCCESS spells lately. I wanted to give you all something relatively simple you can do to help succeed in your chosen area in life, so here goes. 🙂

You will need:

A yellow-orange figural candle representive of the sex of the spell target (check out Stormsong.org for this – you can even have them HERB the candle FOR YOU!! :D)
Bay laurel leaves,
Solomons seal root (finely cut or powdered,)
Lemongrass,
Allspice powder
Crown of Success oil
A mortar and pestle (lacking this a bowl and strong spoon,)
A piece of scrap paper from a paper bag*
A black pen
A nail or pin
A fireproof container from a cake tin or pie plate.

*a note on the brown paper bag* I have been alterted by my international readers that brown paper bags are not ubiquitously used. 😉 If you can’t get this type of paper, any unlined paper is fine, so long as the color of the paper (such as with construction paper,) is not entirely contradictory to the working. For example, if you are doing this spell, you could use basic regular unlined white paper, you could use the paper bag piece, OR you could even use orange, gold, green, or purple construction papers.

Set up:
If you have ordered an herbed candle from Stormsong, you need not add additional herbs, and may skip the step of blending the herbs and adding them to the anointed candle.

Take a nail or pin and carve the initials of the target over the heart area of the figural candle. Using a few drops of Crown of Success oil, anoint the candle up (base to wick,) using seven strokes. Hold the candle in your hands for a few moments, envisioning gold, green, and purple energies flowing into the candle, until you feel the candle is “full.” If you do not feel like you can send energy, simply hold the candle in your hands for a few moments while you think of the spell target being successful in their chosen venture.

If you are just using a non-herbed orange figural candle, you should first place all of your herbal ingredients into your mortar and pestle (about equal parts, approx 2 teaspoons each should be more than enough) and crush them into as fine of a powder as possible. Sprinkle this herbal mixture liberally over the candle. Place into your fire proof container.

Using your black pen, write the name of the spell-target nine times, like this:
John Doe
John Doe

John Doe
John Doe
John Doe

Now turn the paper so that the names are running vertically and write the following command nine times, in the same fashion as above: “Complete success in (chosen area/field.)”

Spit into the center of the paper and fold in half once TOWARDS you. Fold in half again, TOWARDS you. Place name paper beneath your herbed and anointed candle. Be sure your candle is in a fireproof container such as a pie plate or cake tin.

Light the candle, and hold both hands on either side of the candle, focusing your energy towards it. While you speak this chant try to keep a mental image of yourself (or the spell target) excelling in the area of life you have specified.

Say, “By this candle’s flame,
I bring success to (full name of target’s name,) name
By this candle’s fire,
(target’s first name,)’s success rises higher and higher.
(Herein state your personal desire or the desire of your target for success. It doesn’t need to rhyme, I was just feelin’ fancy for the above few lines.)
His/her success, prosperity, and blessings grow
And multiply from minute to minute, from this moment.
This spell shall not reverse, or place upon anyone any curse,
As is my will, SO BE IT!”

Now allow the candle to burn out. When it has done so, take the name paper and either hide it in a Y in a tree (where the branches create a Y,) or even better, bury it beneath your front doorstep.
