Jesus Malverde in May

Hey Occulties,

Recently I’ve been working with a popular folk saint, Jesus Malverde. You may know him from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, but the reality is, he’s not just a “narco saint,” and is quite helpful for those suffering from unfair persecution from the law as well as a champion of the poor and needy.

While there is speculation the real Jesus Malverde is a conglomeration of a few different Sinaloan banditos during the time he was alleged to be alive, there are plenty of people who swear by his intercession in helping them, and so regardless that he is not recognized by the Church, or the arguments made for his historicity, he remains a popular person for those who are poor and on the fringes of society to invoke.

The story I have been told was that he was a bandito by necessity, only stealing from the rich, and always giving back to the poor – often throwing gold coins into the doorways in rundown neighborhoods. Eventually, he killed a sheriff during one of these robberies, and for this offense, was tracked down and killed. The people brought out his body and buried it on a mountainside, throwing rocks over it to build a cairn. Claims that miracles happened to to those who prayed and left offerings at his grave occurred almost immediately. When the Mexican government placed a PARKING LOT over his reputed gravesite, there was an uproar, and yet people continued to pay homage to him (I am led to believe there is a shrine in the parking lot,) as he is revered to this day in Sinaloa, and especially in his reputed home town.

Robin Hood

If this reminds you of anyone like the above representation, you are not alone. Some people refer to him as the Mexican Robin Hood.

I have promised 10% of all my earnings in May to go to charity in honor of St Jesus Malverde. The charity funds will be specifically for the poor and homeless. I will also offer one free light and a prayer on your behalf to Jesus Malverde for your requests to do with court work, poverty, homelessness, or financial insecurity.

Why? March and April were just really awful months. I witnessed several friends fall into extreme poverty. People who were even relatively affluent a few years ago now struggling to make ends meet. I have friends who are unjustly accused for civil and in 2 cases criminal offenses where they are being held in the courts on the most ridiculous of cases. I’m shocked any of the cases even made it to court. One person has been fighting for a few years and is being drained by lawyer fees. I guess that broke something in me. Just seeing the injustice of it all. I wanted to do something to benefit those I saw suffering around me, as well as those I did not see who are similarly suffering.

If you want help, please contact me, and if you want TO HELP, please buy a service. 10% of every sale goes to helping people who are struggling with homelessness and poverty this month. Thank you!
