  • Hey everyone,

I know I've been away for about a week, and I apologize. For those of you who don't know, my grandmother was taken ill relatively quickly (she'd enjoyed robust health for almost 96 years,) and she passed away this morning. I'm sorry for not being able to be reached for awhile, and my inbox is a fucking nightmare for it, so that's going to be fun to sort (I'll have a system up later today.) I will be available later in the day when I have a system set up, and I will be making sure everyone is updated and everyone's cases are also up to date, as well as getting everyone happy with the work they are getting, etc. This week will be pretty crazy, but usually once I get a system set up, everyone is quickly taken care of, and it only takes a few days to get back into the swing of things.

While I will not be available during the funeral, I did make sure I have a device with cellular service from here on out to prevent any future absences (because even in this modern age, not everyone has wifi), and I apologize to anyone who was upset during my absence. It was not a statement against you in any way.

    Thank you for your understanding,

    ~Cat

  • Hey Occulties,

This has been a relatively frequent question as of late, so, since I had about five minutes to write here, I figured I'd oblige.

Many of you have asked how is it that I "free range" my small parrot without constantly risking his death or without finding myself disrupted so frequently as to be incapable of lacking the concentration to do spellwork. Yes he has a cage, and sure, he visits it sometimes, but more or less, he has free run of the house.

For starters, my bird is definitely one of those hilarious pains in the ass that you might suspect he would be. He bites people, eats anything he can find (whether or not said item is palatable for bird or human,) he screams at the worst possible moments (or at any moment he feels he can,) sings loud and out of tune, and insists on head scratches whenever he suspects you might give into his cocking his head to the side because he's letting you know that it's head scratch time. When he is moulting my home looks like a small feather pillow exploded, and I have to wash surfaces he likes to perch on more often because he is known to poop without a care. He chews all paper and cardboard, he chews wires, he is attracted to sparkly things, things colored orange or yellow, and anything that I'm currently holding. All of this is true. I have to cover certain offerings to prevent him nibbling on them, I must keep him away from candles and shiny things, and I do also wear earplugs when working to keep out his noises if I must.

But what you must realize is that despite all of his behaviors, my mere ability to control light is my ability to control him. If it's dark, he will become quiet and sleep. If it is light, he will be awake and active.

It is far more distracting and detrimental to work to live with another person, not least of all because I date only muggles. This means if I ask not to be bothered, at some point, at least once a week, I'll hear "BABE!? DO WE HAVE ANY MORE TOILET PAPER?" while trying to do a reading. This means that if I need complete solitude and privacy, someone is apt to holler about when are we having dinner or to tell me what is on TV… And that's funny, as I rarely watch television…really, I just don't care much about it. I would say by and large – and this from a person who has raised reptiles, rodents, cats, dogs, fish, and birds (and multiple pets of all types,) that the most disruptive force in any household to a magician is a muggle, which is to say, another person, especially one who does not do magic.

So this is why I've been able, for so long, to deal with a bird who flies through my home freely without finding it too overwhelming – because I'm used to having one or more person in my home who is 1000x more disruptive (without intending to be,) and can still do my work in those cases. πŸ˜‰ While pets can be disruptive or can cause one to require more caution while working, they are far easier to handle than most human beings.

  • Let's go over the couple of days of my life. πŸ˜› For starters, I took Easter and a good part of Monday off, which was much needed and I felt so much better. Things were fine until about 11pm or so on Tuesday. I have a family member with some pretty bad health issues when they rear their ugly head, and this person had a flare up. This basically took my entire Wednesday and blew it up, and I am incredibly sorry if any of you dealt with that. It was similar to what happened last May, and it was hugely sucky for me….I'd much rather have been working.

Of course, life had other plans and my computer was not going to turn on, which on Wednesday morning at about 6am, the damn thing wouldn't turn on. Before you say "what in the actual fuck, I thought it was a new computer you had fixed once already," yes it is. I had actually called the service line yesterday and because they are moving their store, this couldn't even be taken care of yesterday. It had to be taken care of today. So here I am with a dead computer, and with no way to get in touch with any client, and with no way to get anything out of my files, AND I have a family member having a severe health problem which is my problem to deal with in many ways.

When I got up today, I was just happy I was going to get a loaner. I tried booting up this computer on multiple occasions yesterday, and to no avail. So when the service man showed up, we hit "on," and I bs you not, it turned on. 😑 Actually the emoticon (they don't exist in this platform, thus why I type them out,) might be πŸ˜€ but then I tried booting this thing up at 10am today, and it didn't come on, so this 😦 is accurate as well. Thankfully service calls like this are free, but the guy said something was probably spilled in my computer, had evaporated, and to keep him appraised if it keeps working.

The dust of the last few days may have settled but I have no idea why this stuff tends to happen to me in the spring. Last spring was a lot like this and I really don't need a repeat of it. The computer can go to hell (I'm thinking of getting a back up refurbished cheapo PC just in case this thing decides it's dead for a day and a half again,) but with the health issue….it tends to take a month or so for that to be dealt with when this person has a flare, – and while this part is more a period of calm – I don't expect it to boil over into chaos over here, it also means I probably can't take too many late readings, and that conjures will need to be on hold for about a month. Traveling isn't going to be very possible (I need to stay close to home) and all my readings will have to be before 5:30p in the eastern time zone. I should still be available for emails almost whenever. I am going to be sending out some late stuff this evening, and I apologize for the delay. While I seriously wish the delay was that I met Chris Hemsworth and am vacationing on a tropical island somewhere with a cocktail, I'm instead still in Maine dealing with a family member's chronic illness and a computer that is apparently possessed or something.

And YES, the computer had a charge…the damn service guy asked me that, too, ha.

  • You already got the bad news when I didn't show up, but all of my readings were cancelled yesterday, – I've posted about the modem/cable issue in the Announcements/Client's Section of my site, – please contact me ASAP to reschedule. I have some times later today, and time tomorrow.

The good news is that box/modem (we're not sure which,) that is the likely source of "why does Cat's email not like sending large emails to people" problem is now replaced with something new….and hopefully that will solve a long running issue which has been the source of much agony here on our end (because yep, John is also annoyed by it, even if it doesn't effect him in a business way.)

If you're waiting FAR TOO LONG for my reply, please forgive me and wait like 48 hours more. I have to get through all of the panic and angry emails (because me without the web or a phone for 30 hours is the same as me basically being the author of all evil, apparently,) all new business, all rescheduling, all emails of any kind, and that involves a measure of organizing (for example, people who are about to kill me or are freaking out are likely to get my attention before "I was just curious and can you tell me what you think of x type of product for my own spellcasting,") so while I am going to be emailing and re-emailing (if you get a double of a large email, I am going through my sent box and re-sending a few larger items to ensure delivery,) if someone is about to drive themselves off a cliff if they don't hear from me RIGHT NOW, I am apt to deal with them first. :/

    Thanks for your patience.

  • Hey Occulties,

So a lot of my inquiries are regarding money lately, which I suspect is because Jupiter and Mercury are either both retrograde or about to be (I'd have to look, but I do know one definitely is retrograde and the other about to be if not already,) which can make things that do with business and money go haywire. With that in mind, I've decided to do a special edition of Questions You've Asked Me, – the success and money edition. πŸ™‚

Q: I have read on your blog that you feel that money/success spellwork should be applied regularly, – does this mean I have to regularly do a spell to keep a job that I got using a spell?

A: No, once you have the job, you just need to keep doing your best work to keep the job…like showing up and doing the tasks expected of you, and etc. πŸ˜‰ No spells needed, just good old fashioned work. This is the same with a promotion – once you've gotten the promotion, you don't need to keep casting spells to keep the promotion – you just have to do your best at your job. πŸ™‚

I guess I'd say look at it like this…if I want a specific amount of money, or if I want a specific job, these are the types of working where you might compare this to, let's say, purchasing a refrigerator. While you might have to supply electricity to this appliance (much like you need to show up to your job and do a competent job while there,) you do not need to continuously purchase a new fridge every time you need to store some food. Now just saying "I want increased success at my job," or "I would like my cash flow to increase," might be a bit more like purchasing FOOD. Because there is no definitive amount or no definitive action (compare "I want money" to "I want $500") it is the type of work where you want to continually maintain the influence as it will fade after some time…much like one visit to the grocery store in your lifetime will not likely give you a lifetime supply of food – you need to maintain the amounts of food you have.

If I have any sort of definitive outcome to my spell (I want this specific job, I want to get a raise of this much, I want this exact amount of money,) the spell stops working once that outcome is achieved (you get what you want, but the spell energy doesn't need to remain active once you have), but if it is a goal without a definitive outcome, the energy will begin to fade after some time because the spell works as long as it can…it has a limited life like a battery. So if you do one "money blessing" type spell to increase income with no definitive amount being requested, eventually, like a battery on your smartphone, the energy runs out.

    Hope that clarifies. :)

Q: I was awarded a settlement but am still not getting paid for the amounts promised. What kind of spell should I use?

A: There are a few different choices, and while the original querent was not so vague, I am being purposely so to be helpful to others, so, take into account a few things… Who is paying this settlement? Do they have the means to pay it? Is this a business (if the party owing the payment to the claim is a business) which tends to have a fast or slow turnaround with paying out a claim or settlement? Is this an amount owed from an estate (ie someone died and left you something)?

I find, often, that the most frequent problem in these sort of cases is that the person owed the money is often either unaware of the length of a wait on certain proceedings (like getting paid from an estate, which can take close to a year sometimes…perhaps more, though that is the longest I've seen a non-contested estate take,) or is aware of that wait and thinks that they can cut it in half just because they want to. πŸ˜‰ While I hate to rain on anyone's parade, if it takes, say, an average of 8 months for you to get the proceeds from an estate, it will probably remain close to that number if you work a spell or not, but you can try. Assuming the estate is uncontested, I would use roadopener or blockbuster spells, as well as money drawing work.

Another problem is that people awaiting settlements from a PERSON do not take into account what that person's financial means are. You may very well owe me $5000, let's say, and you may have $5 to your name and no job (which makes me suspect you are probably one of my ex boyfriends, since pretty much all of them owe me money, ha ha.) In these cases, you can use a form of intranquility to make the target want to pay you back, make them overcome with the need to do so, but keep in mind, if they are always broke, you may still need to wait. They need the MEANS to be ABLE to pay you, and if they often are unemployed or underemployed, it will take some time for them to come up with the money. Again, roadopening and money drawing are helpful here, but you will want to overwhelm them with guilt and remorse for not paying you, and you will need to wait for them to be able to pay. :P

If you're awaiting payment on a claim, like an insurance claim, work on your adjuster (make him or her like you, and want to get you the most that he or she can get, to not dispute your claims) by using a sweet jar (not for romance, obviously, haha,) or if they are just dragging their ass (like the dude who did my housefire claim,) light a magical fire under said ass. One way I've done this is by taking a red person candle (so a male candle for a male, a female for a female) which is set so it represents the target (see here), some devil's shoestrings which I've written a command which in this case something like "Pay out my claim now" would work just fine, and have written this in Sharpie (permanent marker) ink, then soaked the devil's shoestrings and wrapped them around the candle, and then sprinkled it with some cayenne, cinnamon, and dirt dauber nest I've mixed together, and did a candle spell on it as so. This might be a bit complex…if you have their business card, you can do plenty of work on them, and in most cases, the adjuster will give you his or her card. πŸ˜‰ So, assuming most of you don't want to spend half the day soaking some devil's shoestrings (if you can even get them where they are long enough, since a lot of places don't sell good long pieces,) take the adjuster's card, and anoint the edges with something like "Pay me now" oil (most places sell something with a similar title) and place this underneath a magnet that you've put your own image on (using your computer printer, some glue, and getting magnets from Amazon.com or a crafting store is SUPER EASY,) and as you place the magnet, say "(Name of adjuster,) pay my claim to me immediately, now, now, this very moment!" 9 times. I realize unless you are a sloth, the magnet will be placed before you finish that sentence once, so hold your right hand over the magnet as you say this. Again (and I'm sure you're noticing a theme), using roadopening and money drawing work is always helpful in this situation, too. πŸ™‚

Keep in mind, more often than not, a settlement, a claim, or a repayment is going through a lot of proverbial red tape, and roadopening is going to do a lot more for you than most other kinds of spells…you need to clear a path for this money to get to you. Certainly, you are going to have situations where someone (or some business) is with holding their payment to you out of reasons of spite, to be difficult, or to hope they won't have to fully pay you, but it seems to me that most of the time when a settlement or claim is taking a long time to pay out, it is not arising from someone having a personal issue with you. Insurance companies make a lot of commercials saying how they will support you, not punish you for using their insurance by making a claim, and be quick to pay out, but in reality, if you do need to file a claim, just the waiting for the money, especially if it's your home which is damaged to the point of being unlivable, or it is making it so your business can't run (and you can't be paid,) is going to feel like you're waiting decades to get your money, even if there is a quick turnaround. Many insurance companies and adjusters do a great job, and work as quickly as possible, so don't get too miffed if your claim isn't paid out in a week. ;)

But if you can say that you're not acting hastily since we live in a society where we've become all too accustomed to getting what we want right this second, and you can definitely say this settlement/claim is taking far too long, take into account why this delay could be entirely normal, only to be sure it is not, then you need to work on the party who owes you the money as well as road opening and money drawing. Some Fast Luck might also be applied to the money drawing. Sweetening the party who owes you money, making them act quickly using spellwork, or creating guilt and remorse for owing the debt are all going to help you in recouping your money as well. You should approach the problem on multiple levels for the best results.

Furthermore, while you wait for the money to come to you, remember you can still do work to draw income and money to yourself to help with any expenses you might be incurring while waiting for the settlement/claim/inheritance to be paid out.

Q: Are there spells to make me more charismatic and liked by the owners/bosses of a company?

A: Yes, Crown of Success is a traditional formula used for just this, and there are some more modern formulas made even know to help with making you seem more charismatic to those around you – I think Dara over at Hoodoo Roots even has a formula called Charisma for helping with just that exact issue. But if I'm just sticking with the classics Crown of Success is the most commonly used formula for success in the workplace or in school. (Please note, Dara's "crown of success" is "Star of Success," if looking for that formula.)

Furthermore some people will work a sweet jar on an employer or teacher to make this person (or these people) feel more kindly towards them…if you have a boss, manager, or teacher who seems to be against you no matter what you do, this is a perfect solution. Being more "charismatic" might have the opposite effect in these cases, as this person might be jealous or might hold against you that others find you more likable.

If you just want to stand out from the crowd, use a purple or gold (yellow orange) color candle dressed in crown of success (anoint up, from base to wick), add some bay laurel leaves, and burn this over your business card.

There are a myriad of similar spells that you can use to help with the above problem, but keep in mind, just appearing to be the best employee, or just standing out doesn't change your job performance in the long run. All too often people want to be lazy or just have some sort of recognition that they have in no way done anything to be deserving this recognition. While this might be fine in the short term, if you're not doing anything to improve your performance, or if it is lackluster most of the time, then keep in mind, the influence will be limited. You do have to work with the spell. Yes, making you more charismatic might be helpful if you lack this trait, but if you are not performing at your best at your job, you won't reap the full benefits.

Now this isn't to say that there are not formulas and spells which would be helpful in this respect – to help you improve your own performance. You can use crown of success and apply this to studying or perhaps making sales, getting accounts, etc. It is a very versatile formula. Again, however, you still need to apply yourself to trying to achieve these goals – there is no spell or ritual that I know of that will instantly give you skills that you don't have. If I can't speak Mandarin Chinese, I'm not going to learn it in a week just because I cast a spell.

So while there is definitely work you can do to help you in this regard, you always need to work with your spell to achieve a permanent status of appraisal…show up on time, be dilligent, etc.

And yeah, you can do work to make yourself procrastinate less, but if you are, by nature, a procrastinator, you will have to keep doing that spellwork…and procrastinators tend to procrastinate even on doing the spells, so it won't matter.

Q: Can I do a money spell that will make me win the lottery?

A: I answer this all of the time, but I know more hilarious fail stories (like getting all the numbers for the powerball or whatever in a DIAGONAL LINE on a quick pick ticket of x number of plays,) from respected occultists, and no real "big win" stories, so I'd stick to either trying to gamble with skill (for example, poker,) or trying to get money from working.

Trying to win a large jackpot via spellwork doesn't seem to work well…I assume it is because the win is life-changing enough to possibly be more a situation of providence than it is putting the odds in your favor.

Q: Can I use money/job spells to get a job that I am in no way qualified for?

A: For the ten millionth time, no. If you need schooling or experience, spellwork can't give you that form of accreditation. If you are not a good actor or singer or athelete, spellwork is not likely to change that, either. πŸ˜‰

    Hope that was enlightening!

  • Hey everyone,

Just posting this temporarily, as I'm sure some people are freaking out already, but I cracked my upper left molar all the way to the root, and was pretty much in a world of hurt for a little bit, so if I am late in reply please understand that I had a broken molar with an exposed nerve, and it wasn't anything personal.

Also, if I replied to anything at like 2-3 am, that's probably because I also didn't get a lot of sleep (I'm actually super tired right now that I am not in a world of hurt, ha,) and was trying to get a few brief things done. :P

    Thanks for understanding.

Oh, and what did it? A barbecue potato chip. It's always gotta be something where i Could have chewed through leather or something and nothing happened, then something relatively easily palatable cracks a tooth. The all time weirdest thing ever to chip one of my teeth was iceberg lettuce. πŸ˜› The reality is that I suffer from bruxism (tooth grinding) in my sleep, so it was probably waiting to happen. πŸ˜›

  • Guess who finally got her PC back from the repair shop – and none too soon, I might add – because it took over a month to get fixed! And they just wiped the hard drive and hard reset it, so…er, slowest repair shop ever.

It's been taking the obligatory few hours it often does for me to get everything set up again. Please be patient while I get everything in place and sorry for the inconvenience.

And also, Valentine's Day was meant for a day for girls to "marry Christ" (become nuns) so stop getting weepy that no one bought you anything. It's a dumb holiday and I don't think I've celebrated it in almost 20 years. You're lovable year round. Overpriced flowers don't mean love. πŸ™‚

UPDATE 7pm EST – Still downloading and getting the computer set up. Expect me to be late night replying. Also, it's Ash Wednesday, so get your Lent on, if that's your thing. πŸ™‚

  • Hey there Occulties

The Y key is acting up on my keyboard, so be prepared for possible typos. πŸ˜‰

As many of you have probably guessed, reconciliation is one of topic people contact me about the most. As you may imagine, many people want their "beloved" to feel remorse or regret for their mistreatment or bad actions during a relationship, and reasonably, this may actually be a solid bit of thinking, and not just someone still fuming over what happened to cause the fracture in the relationship in the first place. Yes, of course, it's normal to have vindictive feelings or want someone who burned you to feel the same pain you did, but it can also be helpful for them to feel guilt – it can actually help spur them to making amends.

However it may surprise some of you to find out that it can be harmful as well. It really depends on the target. While one person who is overwhelmed with guilt may come to the petitioner and beg forgiveness, others may actually blame the petitioner for causing these feelings and lash out at them. It's not necessarily a common reaction, but it's not so rare either. I would say 4 out of 5 to 9 out of 10 targets will be effected in a fashion where they will seek to make amends when one adds the trigger of guilt to cause the target to come back, but there is still that 10-20% who will actually be repelled by this.

Furthermore, keep in mind that some people will NEVER admit guilt or apologize…I have a handful of friends who can't even accept responsibility for anything wrong that they do. If they got cheating by a spouse, it's not their fault, the spouse did whatever action or the person they committed adultery with lured them in or whatever. If they miss a deadline, it's not their fault, x thing happened. If they broke a glass, it's not their fault, it was too close to the edge of the table (usually because someone else put it there, according to them.) We've all met this kind of person, and if you're dating or married to one, don't expect them to admit wrongdoing easily – guilt and self-reflection may in no way help your reconciliation. This person won't accept blame. It's part of their nature.

This doesn't mean you are never going to be able to get this person to come back – rather this means you are better off using reconciliation methods which focus more on healing, and perhaps using sexual urges or bonds of love, rather than a nasty kick to the heart to draw up guilt within the target.

I don't often advocate the use of guilt as a trigger in your first attempt of reconciling someone as is, but I have seen enough people who want to bring out the proverbial "big guns" as soon as possible, even if the effect on the target is a bit unkind.

    Just my 2 cents. πŸ˜‰

  • Hey Occulties,

So, a common question I get is "Cat, why is this love spell stalling if I am not obsessive or doing anything wrong? I did (spell) and then (other spell) and here I am waiting."

The first answer that no one wants is probably…lust for results. I've had it and not wanted to admit it, and I'm no newbie. :/ Sometimes the obsession bug is hard to shake. Even worse, if you're truly sick with lust for results, you are probably trying to justify to yourself how you are not at all sick with this problem…hindsight is 20/20 – you'll see it.

The second (and second-most-likely as the above is the most-likely,) is probably that you're not working with the spellwork. Being rude, being pushy, acting rotten or overly cold, or demanding, or even crazy is not helping. You need to work WITH your spell. While someone has no reason to do anything if he or she knows you're invested in them (so don't beg, plead, or throw your heart on your sleeve,) they also aren't apt to make a move if you're always acting like a jerk or telling them to go pound sand. :P

The third is that if it's been hours or like 2 days or even just a week? The answer is you need to have more patience. πŸ˜‰ Spells rarely manifest overnight, and you need to give any working at least a few weeks to start showing results.

But let's assume, for the sake of argument, none of the above three factors are part of your problem. What else could be going on?

    USING THE WRONG SPELL-
This happens here and there. For example, people use the intranquil spirit when still in a relationship (and often living with) the target, which isn't generally effective…or they lean too much on the sexual aspect and end up a "friend with benefits," when they desired a more romantic love. Or perhaps they forgo any sexual element and end up having a person who loves them, just not in any romantic or passionate sense of the word. So, if you're finding one spell is not bringing you the desired result, try a different spell. Try to keep romance and sexual passion a factor in your workings to avoid a totally sexual or totally platonic relationship.

    AVOIDING AN OBSTACLE-
If your intended can't date you because you work together, if he or she is otherwise involved with another person, or if any obvious obstacle to you getting together exists, you should attend to that in your spellwork. I've had a personal target who was just rotten at discussing his feelings in text or on the phone who took FOREVER to come through on a spell wired to make him do just that (admit being wrong, admit he felt bad,) because he had very little opportunity to see me face to face. Not all obstacles are as obvious as others, but if you can identify any possible hurdle, you need to address this in your spellwork

IGNORANCE OF THE TARGET'S NATURE- Some people, by nature, just can't be with one person. Other people seriously fear commitment, so having "titles" in a relationship is terrifying to them, even if they are perfectly fine with only dating one person. Some people are really opposed to ever returning to an ex. I could list many personality traits, but my point being, keep yourself knowledgeable about your target's mental and emotional make-up, and tailor your spellwork to get the best results you can without trying to outright fight a person's nature. I can't stand controlling people, for example, so if you worked on me and used a lot of controlling work, I would become combative and resentful.

RELATED TO THE ABOVE, BUT TARGET IS MENTALLY ILL, MENTALLY DISABLED, OR HAS SEVERE SUBSTANCE ISSUES-
Narcissists, borderline personality disorder, bipolarism, alcoholism, addiction to substances or habits, even Asperger's or mild autism – any mental disability or substance use (outside of perhaps cigarettes or coffee,) can blunt the effect of your work or even make it manifest strangely. While it can help, it may also hinder. Your intended may be, for all social reasons "normal," but when it comes to a deeper connection, their being a functional adult at work and on the surface may not be so true deep down. SOMETIMES alcohol can and does break down inhibitions (as do other substances,) but people often recant what they said under the influence once sober. Personality disorders like narcissism and borderline personality disorder are LEARNED (not something one can medicate,) and therefore are practically indefatigable if your target does not want to change. Bipolarism and schizophrenia can be hard to medicate, People with Aspergers often have no filter when speaking (moreso than yours truly,) and can be devastatingly mean without meaning to be. Autistic people are easily smothered and often shy or have a hard time speaking up. These are SUPER BROAD GENERALIZATIONS AND NOT EVERYONE WITH SAID ISSUES WILL FIT THE BILL OR COME CLOSE. My point is, if your target has these issues, you need to work around them or with them. You have to understand a narcissist is selfish and has a hard time understanding others when they are not present or fitting the right narrative in their life. You need to realize that using a spell to reconcile a person that uses guilt may overwhelm an alcoholic. You need to realize a bipolar person may be in hypomania and not rejecting you. Just because you make another feel loving towards you, it does not overcome their mental/addiction/emotional issues. If you love the person, but hate their issues, or if their issues will effect how they react (as opposed to the average person) you need to consider this before spellcasting and during the manifestation phase.

YOU'RE UNDERPLAYING THE DAMAGE OF A BREAK/DISTANCE BETWEEN YOU-
Were you crazy? Were they? Was anyone an amazing jerk? Is there a restraining order? Could there be? Or if it's less-recent, are they married, with kids and this having happened in the time you've been broken up….also, is there still a restraining order? Sometimes things go too far. One little spell (and sometimes many) may not mend those wounds or that distance. Sometimes time apart helps, but if anyone got on the "crazy train" and could be a guest on My Ex from Hell, or if someone is literally married, has a family and hasn't spoken to you since the Spice Girls were still a thing, you might not get results….ever. And if you do? It will take A LOT OF WORK. You can't fix "I ran over your mom, then spray painted your car with the word 'loser' and then got you fired" with one little spell. Be realistic. How bad is it? If it's bad enough, you might want to move on.

    YOU'RE OVERESTIMATING THE SPELL-
Similar to the above, but more assuming you're doing too little for a fixable situation, or you think one spell will fix all and protect against acting against the spell eternally, when in reality, much like dancing and hiking on a badly broken leg can injure the healing leg, so it is with acting in opposition to any spell…or taking an ibuprofen once for a headache will not solve all future headaches. If casting a spell once solved all of your problems, I wouldn't even work. πŸ˜‰ In reality, many spells do not have a life of 6 months time (some do), even if the results of a successful spell are permanent. So even if you curse me to lose an eye, while the eye may never grow back, the curse energy does wear off. If you reconcile with so-and-so, they may want to work on the relationship and you might even be happy for a time, but if you keep acting in the same manner that alienated them or refuse to address what split you up, they will eventually leave again. It is not that the spell failed…you got what you wanted and didn't keep it with you.

YOU NEED TO TAKE A BREAK-
Sometimes you need to break a bone to set it. Sometimes you need to break off a relationship to make it work. As weird as it sounds, it holds true sometimes. Don't be afraid to let someone go if it's totally toxic. Use reconciliation work to make them beg their way back. Make that relationship what you need.

And sometimes, you just need a break from the spellwork. Take a few weeks off. It can actually help. Sometimes this helps by taking your focus off of the situation (alleviating lust for results that you didn't realize you even may have.) Sometimes it just saves money by stopping you from casting spells which may be excessive… Hell, sometimes it just works for whatever reason it works.

    YOU SUCK AT SEDUCTION-
With all due respect, this is the case now and again…you just "got no game." It happens. If you constantly blunder at seduction, and tend to trip over yourself (figuratively,) this isn't the spell's fault. Unfortunately (or fortunately for some) I believe being good at seduction to be an inherent  quality, like some people are good at math or at art naturally, and while some of us can learn to be good at it, there are just people with a natural gift for it….and some people, no matter how hard they work to learn it, will always be a bumbler in the world of seduction. Don't try too hard to make people like you, do be presentable, try to keep your manners, be patient and kind, and you should do OK. πŸ˜‰ Usually people who "suck at seduction" are the ones trying way too hard.

IT IS NOT YOURS TO HAVE-
It's rare but it happens that people just can't have what they want, even if it is seemingly within their sphere of availability. 😦 in almost 15 years of working for the public at this writing, I've seen this only a handful of times.

The above is, of course, not an all-inclusive list but does cover the main culprits of why you might find your love spells not manifesting as you'd like them to. This is the reason that I "interview" all of my clients – to prevent or avoid much of the above. You can apply the same reasoning I use to your own workings, and bring more and better successes to yourself!

Many people do start out in spellcasting with a love working, so if you're just starting out using spellwork, don't get frustrated, – you may have to try and fail a few times before you get it right yourself. Just keep at it. None of us, myself included, was a perfect occult mastermind the first time we tried working a spell, so don't kick yourself or give up if you don't get the desired results the first time.

    Happy Spellcastin'!

  • So, a lot of friends who are self-employed and run small businesses have been complaining of crappy returns, while other (and sometimes the same) friends are complaining of having old secrets and old promises starting to haunt them. Well, both Saturn and Jupiter are in shadow and waiting to retrograde, and shadow periods are weirdly often more intense for many people than full on retrogrades do. At least during a retrograde you are revisiting old goals, old relationships, or past (whatever the retrograde planet influences – love, communication, business, etc,) and having a chance to reintegrate them (succcessfully) into your life, revisit them, or even see if it's time to totally let go. Shadow periods tend to just be "everything is screwy.

So if people are paying slow, if business is slow, if you feel unsuccessful, if you feel slow at learning, if old promises you made (no longer valid,) keep coming up, if deep personal wounds have been ripped open, if you feel held down by things which are no longer important to you…well, the shadow periods will be over in a few weeks…ish. :/ It's not you, it's the planets.
