Cat’s Rants: Confessions of an Occult Mastermind

Everything you ever wanted to know about Hoodoo, Rootwork, or the Occult! The internet’s longest running occult blog, established 2004

  • Hi Occulties,

I was trying to get back to work on Reconciling a Friendship, part 2, but with my interaction with that crazy CA chick, I honestly wasn’t in the “let’s talk about making up with each other” mood. I do hope you can forgive me…I think that was the first time I was ever told off to that level for asking someone what they meant when they said something, lol. πŸ˜‰

This is an oft-requested type of spell, so I figured I’d put something up for you. I’ve prepared the ingredients list with HoodooRoots.com formulas, as, at this writing, that seller is the only one I’m aware of who sells a communication formula.

    You will need:

An image of the target, or a personal item of the target
Tobacco, loose (it’s okay to use an unsmoked cigarette you’ve broken apart)
    Sweetgrass
    Poppy seed
    Attraction oil
    Talk to Me oil
    Do it now! oil
    A golden-orange or yellow-orange candle
A cake tin or pie plate, filled with sand (a fireproof dish for the candle)
    A pen
A piece of paper, never written on, all edges torn (you can make this small so it fits under your candle.)

    Spell Prep and Spell:

Write out the name paper writing the target’s name out nine times like this (replacing the name “John Smith” with your target’s name):
    John Smith
    John Smith
    John Smith
    John Smith
    John Smith
    John Smith
    John Smith
    John Smith
    John Smith

Now turn the paper so that the names run vertically and write horizontally across this (replacing petitioner’s name with your own, and removing parenthesis around that name):

    Call (petitioner’s name) now!
    Call (petitioner’s name) now!
    Call (petitioner’s name) now!
    Call (petitioner’s name) now!
    Call (petitioner’s name) now!
    Call (petitioner’s name) now!
    Call (petitioner’s name) now!
    Call (petitioner’s name) now!
    Call (petitioner’s name) now!

Spit into the center of the paper, place the photo or personal item into the spit, and fold the paper once, TOWARDS YOU. Now fold the paper towards you again, so that you’ve quartered this slip of paper. Place this beneath your tray of sand, and place this tray onto your altar or ritual space.

Place a few drops of each oil into the hand you write with, and anoint the candle using seven strokes UP (base to wick) of the hand to do so. The candle should be very oily UNLESS you’re using a seven day candle. If you’re using a seven day candle, put five holes in the top of the candle, and add a few drops only to the top – DO NOT ANOINT THE GLASS CHIMNEY. πŸ˜‰

Hold the candle in both of your hands, envisioning golden orange energy flowing into the candle, while “seeing” in your mind’s eye, the target contacting you. If you don’t know how to send energy, just hold the candle for a few moments while picturing the target contacting you. When I do this type of working, I actually will try to send my intention into the candle while I think of the target, and hear the sound of a phone ringing. πŸ˜‰ However, in this day and age that might not be apt for everyone. It might be more “normal” for that person to text or email you. If so, try to hear the sound of of an email coming to you, or a text coming to your phone. When you feel you’ve sent your intentions into the candle, now add the herbs. Add the tobacco first, saying “Call me, (name of target,)” then add the sweetgrass and say “Call me (name of target,)” now add the poppy seeds saying “(Name of target) all you can think of is that you must call me now!” Place the candle into the tray of sand.

Light the candle. Hold both hands on either side of this candle and say:

(Name of Target,) call me immediately, immediately, call me right now!
(Name of Target,) call (your first name) immediately! Right now!
The more you try to resist the urge to contact me, the stronger the urge becomes!
(Name of Target,) call me immediately, immediately, call me right now!
(Name of Target,) call (your first name) immediately! Right now!
Hear my words, hear what I have to say,
Speak to me this very day!
As is my will – so be it!

Allow the candle to burn out. When it has, place the name paper by your phone, or your front door in a hidden place.

If you feel that the person actually giving you a telephone call is not the most likely fashion they will contact you, please alter “Call me” in the commands to “contact me.”

Hope you enjoyed that – and when I’m feeling less cranky, we’ll go back to talking about reconciling a friendship! πŸ˜‰

    ~Cat

PLEASE NOTE: As always, keep your expectations realistic. I find the following problems to be the most common in regards to communication spells:

    1. Just because the target contacts you, it doesn’t mean they will say what you wanted to hear. Be prepared to not like the content of the conversation, especially if the target still is defensive towards you.
    2. If the person has no realistic idea of how to contact you, or would have no understandable motive for so doing – or even has no clue whatsoever that you exist, – you are far more likely to not get a result. For example, the first boy I ever fell in love with (which was looong ago now,) might remember I go by my middle name (he does, too, so probably he remembers this, lol,) and would probably remember my last name, but I am not listed under that last name on my facebook, nor am I in the phone book, so he probably couldn’t find me. Furthermore, he has no motive to talk to me, our last convo was 15+ years ago, so he’s not to apt to seek a manner to contact me and make contact with me – HE MIGHT, and I could try, but he’s a lot less likely to contact me than say….a friend I fell out of touch with a few years ago.
    3. The spell is to make them speak to you, but you have to let it manifest. Don’t call, contact, or stalk this person right after casting the spell.
    4. Once you cast the spell, don’t wait anxiously by the phone, or keep checking your facebook or email obsessively. That’s thinking it to death. πŸ˜›

  • Hi Occulties,

Continuing on with the topic started here.

After having touched on a 2 methods of sweetening your target towards you (one simple, one more complex,) I’d like to move on to a few candle spells you might try also. I find many of my readers are most comfortable with using candle spells, and seem to have the most success with them over more complicated forms of spellwork, but if you’re not one of those people, or if you can’t burn candles in your home, please stay tuned for the next part of the Reconciling a Friendship series. πŸ™‚

As you may have noticed, I exclusively used Hoodoo Roots formulas in my last post. As Dara and Karma are the only two workers currently making formulas (suchas oils,) that I would recommend to the public (most everyone else that I know to sell formulas and who’s formulas I’ve tried at this writing are making sub-par crap – if you love your stuff, give me a link and I’ll happily try a few products at my own cost after having a chat with you as well, because I’d love to be able to recommend more than two sellers, – ) I’d like to recommend both these ladies’ products, however, at this writing, Karma has recently moved, and has not put any stock back up. Please use the link in this paragraph to check out her store. She may very well have resumed offering products to the public when you read this article. I will also check back at a later time and try to link her products to those specified here in these posts. That aside, I also love Dara’s (Hoodoo Roots) products, which are made with 100% organic herbs and herbal essences – no fragrance oils in them, nothing synthetic – it’s 100% awesome stuff. πŸ˜‰ I would shamelessly promote both Karma and Dara’s products to anyone, and neither of these women have ever asked me to do so, the products are just that good. πŸ˜€

There are a few candle spells you might try for reconciling a friendship. This first one I’ll share should be downright simple for most people. It’s (in my opinion,) easy enough for the novice spellcaster.

As always, keep your intentions realistic. If you assume you can cast a spell on the friend you’re fighting with, while you still act like a jerk to that person, don’t expect good results. The idea here is to make peace and reconcile, not to make the other person grovel for forgiveness while you keep up the bad behavior. Most of my readers would know this without being told, but I know there’s always a few in the audience of the rant room who need it said. πŸ˜‰

    You will need:
    1 golden orange candle*
    1 pink candle*
    1 light blue candle*
A heat-proof tray with sand in it**
    A picture of the target
    A picture of the petitioner
    Peace Between Us oil
    Reconciliation oil

*If at all possible, you want all three to be from the same maker who is using the same mold. I like votive candles for this type of working, but if you prefer a different shape or size, I recommend only that you do not use figural (shaped like a person or object) candles in this particular working.

**I am a big fan of fire safety. Please use a thick reusable pie plate or cake tin or even sheet cake tin which you’ve placed sand in. I tend to use traction sand, but if you live somewhere warmer, you might have a harder time finding this. I am sure any form of sand (not dust or soil,) will work perfectly fine. The sand distributes the heat and prevents fire accidents very nicely. Strongly recommended, but if you do not use this, please watch your candles when they burn low and make sure they burn out without causing fire issues.

  • Hi Occulties,

While most people want to resurrect a romantic love situation, reconciling a friendship is actually not an unpopular request. I had thought about it, and couldn’t recall having ever posted anything regarding how to do this. πŸ˜‰ I’m going to go over a few simpler methods for everyone, and I do hope they help all of you make peace with your lost friend (if you want to make peace with them.)

Before I begin, there is a pretty good book out there to help you effectively communicate with people, and it’s one I’ll recommend if you want to stop fighting with anyone. The book is Just Listen: The Secret to Getting Through To Absolutely Anyone, by Mark Goulston, MD. This might actually help you avoid future friend break ups, romantic break ups, or even fighting with your boss (or employees,) so it’s a valuable read. πŸ™‚

But let’s dive into the occult end of the pool now, shall we?

So, you’ve had a severe fight with your friend. It’s so bad you’re not talking, and you’re not sure you want to start talking. πŸ˜› Every time you do try to approach the situation, it just seems to get worse. What do you do?

For starters, before everything goes ass over elbow, you might try putting their name on a scrap of paper, and sticking this in your sugar bowl. Yes, in your sugar bowl. Yes, the same one you get sugar out of. Yes, I have found one or two of these floating in my coffee before, thanks for asking. πŸ˜‰ This is a temporary fix, and best done when the situation has just begun simmering, not when it’s reached the point of boiling over. πŸ˜‰ If the situation improves shortly, remove the name from the sugar bowl and dispose of it as you see fit (I honestly just toss them in the rubbish when everyone’s hugged it out.) πŸ˜‰

BUT, maybe that won’t be enough. Maybe you’ve gone too far, and maybe your friend has gone too far. πŸ˜› It happens. The next step I might suggest is a sweet jar for repairing a friendship. These are relatively easily made.

    You will need:
A medium to large GLASS jar (jam jar to mayonnaise jar sizes), with a metal lid
    Granulated sugar
Honey OR another sweetener (light or dark Karo syrup, for example, will work fine in place of honey)
A few Balm of Gilead buds
Some rose petals, preferably pink but white or red are fine
Optional herbs: lemongrass, heal-all, licorice root
Light blue or pink candles, I prefer this kind
    Paper
    Pen
    Reconciliation oil
A photo or biological item from you and your friend.
Optional: heavy waterproof tape, roadopener oil, or VanVan oil.

    Prep:
Add a pinch of each herb you are using to the jar, then fill the jar about a third to a half full of granulated sugar.
Take your piece of paper, and tear off all the edges so that they are torn, not cut. If you do not want to use a piece as large as the standard American letter size (or a regular sheet of printing paper, which is probably standardized in each country,) feel free to quarter the paper and to just use a quarter of it with all sides torn off. πŸ˜‰ Write your target’s name seven times, as so (replacing “John Smith” with their name):
    John Smith
    John Smith
    John Smith
    John Smith
    John Smith
    John Smith
    John Smith
Now turn the paper so the name of the target is running vertically and write your own name seven times horizontally over the target’s name. It will look a bit like a tic tac toe board. Around the names write “Reconcile” over and over in a circle, or “Friends again” over and over until it makes a circle. An example of a name paper is shown below:

    Fig three

Spit into the paper, place a drop of reconciliation oil into the spit, and place the photo or personal item from yourself and your target into the center of the paper. Fold the paper TOWARDS you once, and then, as if quartering the paper, turn it so you can fold it TOWARDS you again. Put this into the jar. Fill the jar full with your honey or sweetener, and seal this tightly.

If you are worried about drips, you can secure the lid with some strong tape.

    The work:
Like many jar spells, this one is best worked frequently. πŸ˜‰ Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, you will want to burn a candle on top of the jar (take care – if too many drippings accumulate, you may need to remove them to prevent the jar from becoming a fire hazard – please monitor the candle if the jar is basically entombed in drippings,) and you should continue to do this until the friendship has been repaired.

Some of you will want to know if there is a best moon cycle or planet hour. On a Monday, I’d work in the hour of Venus, on a Wednesday, again the hour of Venus, and on a Friday, the hour of the Moon. If this makes no sense to you, or you don’t use planet hours, please ignore. As for working this and using the moon – if you choose to use the moon you can use a few methods. Either work starting the day after the new moon to the full moon, and then do not work for about 2 weeks til this cycle starts again; -OR- light the candles at an hour between 6a-9a every Monday, Wednesday, Friday; -OR- work as you please during the waxing (growing) moon, and ALWAYS work prior to the noontime during the waning (shrinking) moon. All these methods will work for lunar correspondences.

If you don’t give a hoot about the moon or the planets, just work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. πŸ˜‰

Using a pin or a needle scratch “Friends again” up the side of your light blue or pink candle.

Dress your pink or light blue candles in reconciliation oil. If you’ve chosen to use an optional oil above-listed, use either Van-Van or Roadopener on the candle as well. To dress the candle, place a few drops of oil in your “power hand” (generally the one you use to write with,) and then lightly grasp the candle, and using seven “pulls” or “strokes” UP (base to wick) anoint the candle. Now hold the candle in your hands and keeping a mental image of you and your friend together and happy again, try to send this picture into the candle mentally. If you prefer using “colored” energy, try to send pink, golden orange, and light blue energy into the candle until it feels “full.” If you do not feel you can send energy, or if you are new to spellcasting, just try to hold the candle in your hands while visualizing you and your friend as being friends again for a few minutes.

Light the candle and use some drippings to secure it to the jar lid. Once the candle is fastened to the top of the jar, hold your hands so both are on either side of the jar, palms in, facing the candle, and again try to envision you and your friend as friends again, and do your best to keep this mental image as you say the chant. You can “talk” to the candle if you feel you’re experienced enough or do not need a chant (so avoid using negatives like “no, not, never” and keep your commands in the present tense,) or if you’d like a chant you can use, the following should do the trick:

By my will, and by this candle’s light
Reconcile my friendship to (name of target) this very night.
Bring us closer, draw out pain
So we can be friends with each other again.
Forgiveness comes to us as is my will for that to be,
(Name of target) return in forgiveness and friendship to me.
As is my will, so be it!

Allow the candle to burn out. As stated above, you will want to burn one of these candles using the above described method every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until the friendship has been repaired.

COMING NEXT – Reconciling a friendship, part 2. Stay tuned! πŸ™‚

  • Hi Occulties,

Another quick edition of QYAM. πŸ˜‰

Q: I have heard not to do something magically if you won’t do it in the physical world, but also that sometimes it’s better to do it magically than in the physical world. Which is correct?

A: Well, the simple answer is both. πŸ˜‰

I do agree with most people – what you would never ever do physically, with your bare hands, or whatever else is required to get the job done, if you could get away with it legally, morally, and etc, should never be done magically. If you hate that person enough to kill them with your bare hands, and would kill that person with your bare hands if you’d not get tossed in jail, THEN maybe you should curse them. If the idea of tossing that person off a cliff amuses you mentally, but in the physical world, you’d be torn with guilt and upset at your actions, you should not try to kill them magically. Or… If you would do most anything to get that promotion over your co-worker, and would be sneaky in getting said promotion in the physical world if only you would not have to worry people would discover this and you’d get fired, then go ahead and use magic to get that promotion. If, on the other hand, your co-worker whom you are competing against is down on his or her luck, having a hard time making ends meet, and needs that job to support his or her family, and also is the better candidate – whereas you would just like the status that comes with the job, – and you suspect you’d feel badly if you got promoted over them, don’t use the spellwork to get the job.

I can go over a thousand different examples for different types of spellcraft. The point – simplified – is judge for yourself before spellcasting if the ultimate outcome is something you want enough in the physical plane that had you the ability and freedom to do whatsoever you want, you’d take the opportunity (or create it,) to do x action if you felt you’d be free from reprisal in the physical plane.

Now, think about this by putting yourself in the other person’s shoes, also. Think as if you’re the target. If you would destroy a love affair to have one party in said love affair, would you honestly want to switch places with the party being cast out? Do you think the one you want deserves the cruelty of a break up? Has, historically-speaking, the love target in that equation dealt with break ups well? Does the one you’re casting out have a history of violent or unsound behavior when they are mistreated? Why am I asking you all this? πŸ˜‰ Well, having seen a break up spell or two, believe it or not, if you cause enough damage and you’re the “odd man (or woman) out,” who’s casting the break up spell (and “bring that one to me” spell, heh,) if you do enough damage, you can easily mentally and emotionally damage the one you want to a point that you do not want them anymore. You can cause a violent outcome between the couple you’re breaking up – one could end up in jail. You might create a situation such that you make one of the parties you broke up stalk each other (so, sure you have this one in your life now, but the other calls your house at 2am every night to run a fax machine noise through, lol,) – the possibilities for outcomes are endless.

It’s a good idea to think through the myriad of outcomes, even if you think if you could get away with forcing the change you want in the physical plane, you would. I assure you, if you never think of what BAD THINGS might come of your desires, at some point those “bad things,” will manifest if you keep spellcasting on things with no thought of the outcome.

So, if you think about what might happen if you forced your will on the physical plane, then you can get some idea of what may happen if you do the same using magic. If you hate someone horribly, would you hate them less or feel badly if they suffered? If you would, you will feel badly when a curse manifests, then.

Hopefully my lack of coffee has not prevented me from driving home that just because you CAN do it magically, doesn’t mean you SHOULD, and if you’d be horrified at the outcomes if you forced your will on the physical plane, the effect of getting what you want through spellwork might be similarly upsetting.

So, why do anything magical at all, especially if you can do it in the physical plane? :/

Sometimes the outcome would be better if you used your magical abilities, is why. πŸ˜‰ If you do want to injure someone, at least in my home country (USA,) you can’t be put in jail (to my knowledge) for using spellcraft to harm another. I think that would go against our first amendment stating that we have freedom of religion. While I’d not recommend you go off at the mouth to others about cursing anyone to any other person, if someone figured it out, there is nothing in the USA that would give them any legal reason to attack you in the physical world. πŸ™‚ Magically, they might get you, if they know magic. That said, if you death curse them and they die, and somehow their family finds out you cursed them to death (or suspects as much,) assuming those people know no magic, I highly doubt a civil case would even win them anything to recompense those people for their loss. Assuming you’re not a knob (many people are knobs,) and you kept the fact you death cursed the person to yourself, the only problem you should have is living with the guilt of murdering another. Maybe you wouldn’t feel guilty. If someone was molesting my nephews and the law would do nothing to person molesting them, I’d sure not give a damn if that person died terribly. I’d see it as saving other children from abuse, and justice for the children already abused.

Or, perhaps you’re very shy and have a hard time around people you’re attracted to. You know a friend is attracted to you, and you’re interested, but he or she is also very shy. If you want to push that person to tell you their feelings, it might be less complicated to use magic to encourage that outcome. I’m sure if the attraction seems mutual, you’ve already tried to drop hints you’re interested, but two shy people in love can have the equivalent of a staring contest (like they’re waiting the other out, heh,) and never get to the enjoyable sides of love like rubbing each other’s fun parts, if neither has the nerve to speak up. Well, light a tiny fire (a figurative tiny fire,) under the other person’s bum, and get them to speak up before you do. I’ve had more than one client who used this method to bring someone into their lives. πŸ˜‰ COULD THEY get that person without spells? Probably. But if they really want to have the person pounce on them first and it needs a push, I really don’t see any harm in encouraging one side of a shy party to be less shy about their romantic feelings.

So, yep, magically-speaking, always do only what you’d do on the physical plane if you could get away with it (or accomplish it,) but also keep in mind some things are better done on the magical plane than the physical.

I’m only 2 coffees in to my day, and we all know I need about 4 to function normally so I hope that was somewhat understandable. πŸ˜‰

Q: Why do you love road opener spells so much?
    Old carriage road

A: They bring positive change and tend to break down the obstacles which need to be cleared, so long as the obstacles are not gigantic. It’s a very positive working for almost any situation. If you need something a little stronger, try a block buster spell. πŸ™‚

Q: I have heard music or background noise can be too distracting, but I like to spellcast to music. What is your opinion?

A: I agree it can be easily distracting. For example, I was trying to do some personal work for money a few weeks back. I was watching a film…some horror flick I believe, and there was definitely some crazy murder noises coming from the movie as I was trying to charge the candle. I had to hit pause. I didn’t exactly want me thinking of violence and horror while trying to increase my income. πŸ˜‰ However, that sort of background noise is something most of us could understand might be less than helpful to our work.

So, when it comes to music…if you’re working for reconciliation, don’t pick the sad song that makes you think of the break. Try something hopeful and loving – IF YOU NEED MUSIC AT ALL. Make sure you’re picking something that suits the situation you want to MAKE, not necessarily what the situation is. If you find the music helpful, an instrumental might even be better. The human mind is easily distracted by other humans speaking.

Or, if like yours truly, you find background noises annoying or distracting the vast majority of the time, then keep it as silent as possible while you work. Use ear plugs if you have to.

Q: Is there a way I can make a “Seven-day Glass-encased candle” last seven days?

A: Sometimes freezing it solid before you bless and dress it (about 24 hours in a freezer works,) will preserve it for an extra day, especially if you’re working in hot weather. You can also extinguish it for a few hours here and there to extend the life. I personally prefer to burn them through without extinguishing them, so I try the freezer method first.

Q: If my ex left me, and I don’t want them back, can I make them want me back so I can reject them?

A: You could use spellwork to that end, but it’s rather implicative of you actually wanting them back. πŸ˜‰ You also run the risk of making yourself want them again, because often people spellcast on themselves as well as the target in a re-conciliatory type of working. So, I would actually recommend using curses, justice spells, or even something to remove that person’s influence from your life if you REALLY don’t want them back. If you want to make someone suffer, I get it – but try actually cursing them, then. πŸ˜‰ Sure, it might be satisfying to have them begging you back, but it’s even more satisfying to see them get their actual “just deserts,” rather than begging you to please come back. Trust me on this one. I know you’re gonna do whatever you want to do, but I still hope my words here mean something. πŸ˜‰

    Hope this was enlightening! πŸ™‚

  • Re-blogging Jason Miller’s wonderful instructive post which uses Breaking Bad as a model for being a better sorcerer/magician/spellcaster/whatever-term-you-prefer. No no, he’s not talking about magical crystal meth production, hahaha, but actual magic. πŸ˜‰ It’s a very good read and comes highly recommended.

  • Just wanted to share a post from Miss Dara where she speaks on the significance of numbers in traditional Hoodoo. Thought it would make an interesting read for everyone. Enjoy!

    ~Cat

  • I just had to post this…because I found it on Facebook and have been laughing at it for 2 days now. πŸ˜‰ If this is your property and you want me to remove it, I happily will. But if you have this sense of humor and like sharing it, I’m sure all my readers will like this as much as I do.

Might I add, despite not cursing someone’s firstborn (well as a baby, I’m sure a few people who got cursed by me were, while also being adults, SOMEONE’S first born, hehe,) this SO sounds like something I’d say.

  • Hi All,

I recommended this article a few years back, and, since I’m aware if it isn’t screaming “LOVE!” or “REVENGE” or “IT BRINGS BACK YOUR EX!” most of you will ignore it, heh. πŸ˜‰ However the information it contains could actually assist you in any of those three things (if you’re having someone else do the work,) so I suggest you read it. Karma Zain does explain the reason why 2 or more workers on one problem can be a bad thing far better than I could. πŸ˜‰

I’ve brought this up again because apparently one or two spellcasters (at least 2 different sites are the number of sites that advise this, that I have repeatedly gotten in my email box,) are telling anyone to hire whoever the heck you want – it can only help – and that’s not my view on things, nor is it the view of basically any professional spellcaster I personally know and would recommend. Spellworkers who agree that it’s OK for your client to hire anyone else on the problem while you’re working on it, and that this is of no risk to your client or their case, by all means feel free to (intelligently) debate why you feel that is so in the comments section.

Clients with spellcasters who believe it’s fine to hire anyone and everyone to stir the proverbial pot that is your issue being worked on, I’m sorry, but I can’t take your opinion here. In 19 out of 20 cases (or an even larger percentage,) you hired someone to help you because you know too little about spellcasting to competently solve the problem yourself using spellcraft.

Before you think I’m being mean and judgmental, I did, in my earlier days, for a very brief while, allow people to hire more than one person if I was working their case. Why? You’ll laugh, but I worried I was just being mean and judgmental to demand otherwise, (having successfully worked for friends with a group of friends – each of us doing our own part,) and also figured most of the time someone isn’t doing the work anyhow, while I am. After I had 1 client’s spellwork go wonky (she had 5 other casters, when I thought it was just one other, who I spoke with anyhow,) repeatedly (wonky being a kind word for “totally fucked up and insane manifestations,”) and after another person who completely blew up their work listening and working with another spellworker (who I don’t know personally, and who, so far as I can tell, must work everything ass-backwards to avoid religious conflicts with affecting free will,) I realized, very-quickly, I should rescind my earlier feelings on “sure whatever you’re doing with anyone else is OK.” I relay this information to you to let you know that some workers probably thought the same way I did, and it’s a dumb and reckless way to think. I shudder that I let my naivety (I was new to pro-spellcasting, not at all new to spellcasting,) guide that choice for even a short time, but I’m big enough of a person to admit faulty thinking…especially if almost a decade old. πŸ˜‰ I only needed 2 experiences very early on to know a person who wants a stable of workers is a problematic client, and that even one more set of hands stirring the proverbial pot can just create a horrid outcome. So, because a brief stint as a twenty-something knob taught me not to risk being a knob, and I avoid knobbishness when possible (my “being a knob” issue has greatly lapsed since my mid-to-late 20’s, haha,) and I personally would insist you let me clear out someone’s spell work before casting for you, and insist you stop working with them to prevent future problem manifestations. πŸ˜‰

That link should be necessary reading, folks! Get to it,

  • Hi Occulties,

Over the years, I’ve been told, repeatedly, that I should keep it simple in here. πŸ˜‰ Which is amusing, because I’ve spent about a decade telling my readers and my clients to do the same thing when they start over-thinking their problems or not letting things go and etc. πŸ˜‰ It came to me that perhaps if I keep it simple on this post, I won’t get the repetitive (and all too often publicly-answered in this very blog) questions like “Will this spell backfire?” or “What is thinking it to death?” or “If I go gambling and lose all my money, did this spell not work?” (No, because I don’t post gambling spells, and you’re probably not anyone I can help if you just sold your house to play more poker.)

Oh, and before I begin, spells don’t do the opposite of what is intended, and thinking it to death, aka lust for results, is something I so often discuss on this blog, that if you don’t know what it is, I suggest taking some time to read more of my blog.

Also, a wonderful book for financial spellcraft is Financial Sorcery, by Jason Miller. The link is to the American version of Amazon.com, so of course feel free to look it up using your country’s Amazon site (if applicable.)

    1. NinjaCat’s Favorite Money Candle Spell

This one is super-easy, and one I like to do for myself every 2-4 weeks. It always keeps the money rolling in, generally in a realistic manner (like more work,) has shown real results (if I don’t do this, my business often begins to reduce by 1/3 of what it was in about 6 weeks,) and is so simple, anyone can do it.

    You will need:
    Money drawing oil*
Fast Luck oil (also called Red Fast Luck, and New Orleans Fast Luck,)
Crown of Success oil (also called Star of Success)
    A glass-encased “Seven-Day Candle” in gold color (it’s a yellow-orange or marigold type color.)
    Irish Moss Flakes
Bay Laurel Leaves (if using full leaves, crush them)
    Lemongrass
A small scrap of paper no one has written on, with all edges torn off
    A pen
A personal item (hair, spit, fingernail, image, etc.) – optional.

I prefer to do this working on a Sunday, but Wednesday would also likely work. If you’re using planet hours,** Sun, Mercury, or Jupiter hours would all do well here. If you’re using the moon, you would want to use the nearest “good day” AFTER the new (black) moon.

Using an object such a screwdriver or knitting needle, bore 5 holes into the top of the candle. VERY LIGHTLY, put a tiny pinch of each herb into the top of the candle. Now place approximately 2-3 drops of each oil in one or two of the holes you’ve made. Place your hands on either side of the chimney of the glass seven day candle, and try to envision, in your mind’s-eye, golden energy representing money and financial security – and/or – yourself having a full wallet and lots of money, and try to send this energy through your hands, and into the candle. If you don’t think you can send energy, still try holding the candle a while and envisioning this. Set aside when you feel the candle is “full” or when you’ve been meditating on what you want for a few minutes.

Now take the scrap of paper, and write your full name or the target’s full name 5 times, as so (replace the name with your own or the target’s own,):

    John Q. Smith
    John Q. Smith
    John Q. Smith
    John Q. Smith
    John Q. Smith

Turn the paper a 1/4 turn so that now the name is running vertically rather than horizontally, and write across (so that the names form almost a tic-tac-toe board):

    Money in my pocket
    Money in my pocket
    Money in my pocket
    Money in my pocket
    Money in my pocket

Alternately to “Money in my pocket,” you can exchange that command for “Fast luck, fast money.”

Now spit into the center of this paper, and place the personal item (if you are using one,) into the center, and fold the paper in half towards you. Turn the paper and fold it in half TOWARDS YOU again, so that you have quartered the slip of paper. Place on your altar, and place the candle over it.

Just as an aside, I’m big on fire-safety. It’s perfectly acceptable to contain these candles so they are much safer. I’ve put them into large coffee cans where I’ve poured about 2 inches of traction sand, then placed the candle inside, and poured more sand around it to fill the coffee can. I’ve had jar candles explode using this method once or twice, and the mess was entirely contained, whereas not using this method has caused one or two broken glass issues. These candles don’t often explode – in fact even at the rate I use them it’s a large rarity, so please do not think they are apt to be super dangerous if you can’t use this method. Exploded glass chimneys often mean a breakthrough in the problem, also, and it can be a good sign. πŸ™‚ If you want to use this method to keep a seven day candle (which is constantly burning for several days) more safe, then it’s okay to place the name paper under the candle inside the coffee can, or to place it under the coffee can. Both will work.

Once you have the candle settled on the altar as you like it, light it, and place both hands around it, trying again to envision yourself with lots of money, and/or sending gold energy into the candle. Say:***
    “Bright candle ablaze with fire,
Bring to me my heart’s desire.”
(Herein say what you’d like, for example “Lots of money in my pocket and all my bills paid” would work nicely.)
Bring this to me this very night
What I want is already mine by this fire’s light.
That which I ask brings no curse to me,
As is my will, so it be!”

Allow the candle to burn out. When it has done so, inter the name paper (with the personal item,) beneath your front doorstep, or hidden by the front door to your (or the target’s) home (for example a dust mat, or a picture by the front door.)

I find this simple spell very effective. You could even use a same colored taper if you don’t want to use a jar-candle.

    2. NinjaCat’s Little “Tricks” as a Vendor

As some of you know, I used to sell jewelry, body lights, and light up toys and music festivals (yes it was tons of fun, lol.) We had a few things we’d do before we set out on foot to sell our goods. One thing was to take some Red Fast Luck oil, and put a cross on each foot (a plus sign really,) while saying “All the money in their pockets now arriving in my wallet.” I would say we did better sales when we did that, because I noticed a pretty good size drop in sales (about 20-30% less) the 2 times I forgot to bring the fast luck oil. πŸ˜‰

Also we’d take a $1, a $5, a $10, and a $20 bill (one of each) and dress the four corners – one corner having one drop of each oil: Crown of Success, Fast Luck, Attraction, Money Drawing, then I would whisper to each bill***: “(Denomination of bill, for example “Twenty-dollar bill”) be my friend, return 10 of your kind for each one I spend.”

After this, we’d find one person in need of a bit of money, hand them the $5, and say “May that money mulitply in your pocket, brother/sister,” to increase the luck of one person around us in the hopes the Universe would smile more favorably on us with our other dressed bills. We would then carry one of the bills as long as possible, using the other 2 for change. It wasn’t ever a set denomination for what we kept, as it was just whichever was left for change after the other 2 bills had parted company. Inevitably all the bills would find their way out, but we did try to keep one dressed bill as long as possible. I believe it definitely increased income.

    3. NinjaCat’s Lucky Money Charm

I like to use a maneki-neko for this charm (the beads are adorable and I can make them into charms that attatch to zippers on my purse and wallet, – some people hang these on their rearview window in a car, or just keep it on their person, on their business computer, etc,) however some of my gentleman readers might find this a bit “girly.” If you’re one of these people, using a symbol of Mercury (suchas a pierced mercury dime) would also work as well. Greychr-maneki-neko

    You will need:
A small maneki-neko charm, bead or statue (again, you can switch this to a more masculine charm using Hermes/Mercury images, or even something like a lucky four-leaf clover, etc)
    A small sturdy box
A small fire-proof tray which you have added sand to
Two each of four different kinds of denominations of bills (for example, someone from the USA might use two $5s, two $10s, two $20’s, and two $50s.)
    Irish moss flakes
    Lemongrass leaves
Cinnamon (bark or powdered is fine)
    A magnet
A green, purple, or orange taper – small is fine, like emergency candle size. (I prefer orange or orangey-yellow for this work, but if you prefer a different color for money drawing please choose one from the three choices.)
    Attraction oil
    Crown of Success oil
    Money drawing oil
    A pen
A trivet with long-ish legs (optional.)

The trivet in this instance can be used to hold the fire proof tray the candle is in. I suggest letting the candle be small enough (about 6 inches or 15cm tall is fine) that the sand can hold it upright without a holder. The idea is to place the box underneath the burning candle. If you have all ingredients for the first spell in this article, then you can also adjust that spell (which I made both similar on purpose for the ease of my readers) and do the same spell over the box by just using this set up.

This spell is best done during a Wednesday in a Mercury or Jupertarian hour when the moon is waxing, OR a Thursday or Sunday in a Mercury hour when the moon is waxing. It can be done at any time, but my readers always want the “best time.” πŸ˜‰

    Prep:
Using a green-inked pen (if possible) or a blue-inked pen, write (as if writing a name paper) the name of the target (or petitioner) 7 times, for example instead of the name below, you would change it to the name of the spell target:

    John Q. Smith
    John Q. Smith
    John Q. Smith
    John Q. Smith
    John Q. Smith
    John Q. Smith
    John Q. Smith

Turn the box a quarter turn so that the names are running vertically, and write across this***:
    Money in my pocket
    Money in my pocket
    Money in my pocket
    Money in my pocket
    Money in my pocket
    Money in my pocket
    Money in my pocket

Anoint each bill with attraction oil by lightly oiling the edges. Place this into the box with a pinch of all 3 herbs. Dress your magnet in Money drawing oil, and place this in the box as well. Place a drop of crown of success oil on to your maneki-neko or charm, and place this into the box, closing the lid. Remember, the oil can be corrosive, so if you’re using a painted object, put this drop of oil on a part which is less apt to be seen in order to avoid damage to the detailing on the paint.

Now place the fireproof container on top of the box. If you’re using a trivet, place the container into the trivet, and fit the box below the trivet.

Carve up the side of your candle “money in my pocket” (or if doing this for a friend, you might put “Money in Horace’s pocket,”) or whatever command you prefer over mine. Then anoint the candle up (base to wick,) with your three oils combined using seven strokes of the power hand (generally the hand you write with.) Sit for a moment and try to visualize sending golden energy into the candle, or sending the vision of yourself (or your target) surrounded by money into the candle. If you do not feel you can send energy, just try to hold the mental image of wealth and good fortune surrounding yourself or your target in your mind while holding your candle for a few moments. Sprinkle some of each of your herbs on the candle, and then place it into your fireproof container.

You may wash your hands before proceeding. πŸ˜‰

The spell itself is quite easy. Light the candle, and hold your hands to either side of the candle saying***:
    “Bright candle ablaze with fire,
Bring to me my heart’s desire.”
Draw your energy to bring money to me,
    Increase my income 3x3x3
Bring this to me this very night
What I want is already mine by this fire’s light.
That which I ask brings no curse to me,
As is my will, so it be!”

Allow the candle to burn out, and when it has done so, fetch your charm from the box, and keep it on your person or close to your cash register. The bills may also be used and spent, however, to recharge the charm, you will need to set the box up again in the same way, above, and redo the candle spell. I suggest saving the box and keeping the herbs inside – whether or not you use the money between recharges is up to you. You should notice increased business and cash flow. The “three times three times three,” increase, however, may not actually be that large of a percentage. πŸ˜‰

Hope everyone likes these tricks, the charm, the spells. I know some of it is elementary type stuff to my my more experienced readers, but I’m trying to appeal to the larger section of my readership which is newbie-beginner spellcasters.

    Happy spellcasting!

  • One of the larger mistakes I see (other than anxiety, fear, and just plain old beginner’s clumsiness – which everyone has in the beginning, heh, -) is this really ridiculous notion that fast results are equivellant to the best results.

Now, don’t get me wrong…if you’re anxious to have what you want (anxiety is still a famous spell-killer, and slower-of-manifestation, so that alone is a problem,) like most people, you will be “chomping at the bit” to get what you want. That means really getting crazy to get what you want and quickly for the idiom-impaired. πŸ˜‰ While I do believe most of us can understand your sense of urgency, the problem is, usually, the urgency for the manifestation is not at all a reality except in your own mind.

If it’s regarding an impending bill, a job interview, stopping attacks from an enemy, or a court case…well, then time may very well be of the essence. However I see this a lot with love, especially reconciliation. πŸ˜›

You don’t *NEED* your ex back tomorrow. And for some reason, people seem to take this “bring back my ex now” as a life or death thing. If it’s not happening now, it’s not happening ever, – or so their panicked and unsettled mind tells them so, despite that not really being the case.

You need to remember that if the problem is one of complexity (such as a break up,) it very well might require some time to return to the state of romantic bliss, especially if the problems which caused the seperation and break up were complicated, and took a long time to build up. It’s far easier to forgive a one time instance of certain transgressions than it is to forgive someone for 2 years of feeling pushed and pressured and bossed. And if the “singular” transgression is bad enough (for example, you slept with your boyfriend’s brother, and also his best friend,) then it’s going to most-likely take a LOT of work to fix that mistake.

If you truly believe a horrific break up with lots of hurt is getting fixed in under 2 weeks, using only one spell, you’re probably fooling yourself. Even if it does get back together, there is a much higher chance of instability of the manifestation. I had gone over this in my QYAM post where I discussed using St Expedite for love, but it would seem I’ve got a good deal of confuzzled people emailing me, acting as if they don’t get the ex they chased down the street with an axe back with them by next week, their spell is “fake” or “not working.” Nothing could be farther from the truth. The culprit for that spell not working is easy to find. Stand in front of a mirror. Look who’s looking back at you – it’s you! – and that’s who’s the cause of the spell failing if you think you’ll get your ex back in a week, and get angry when you don’t.

I’ve gone over it enough times in here that everyone else is bored of hearing it. πŸ˜‰

Fast manifestion does not equal the strongest or best manifestation. Just like a severe illness, it might require a lengthy treatment to “cure” the problem. If all you want is a fast manifestation, there is a stronger chance that your own impatience will be you and your spell’s undoing.
