Everything you ever wanted to know about Hoodoo, Rootwork, or the Occult! The internet’s longest running occult blog, established 2004

  • Hey all,

Justin Timberlake can give me this gift anytime. πŸ˜‰ For those of you who haven’t seen it or have seen it 100 times, here is the internet classic “D*ck in a Box.” (Warning – probably not appropriate for work watching.)

    Happy Valentine’s Day!

  • Hey Occulties,

I can only assume it is the same person googling and comcast searching furiously, but let me let ALL of you in on something…99% of the time, a site that lists “scams” by name or legit people by name is, themselves, a scammer. Sad but true. Some years back, and it may still be up, someone who shall remain nameless listed a long list of sites rating who was the best spellcaster ever and who should be avoided. Since it was a long list, yours truly actually LIKED this site…a lot. I tried out a few sites with little or no effect. Since, when I try out a spellcaster, I DO ask someone to cast spells which I have not cast for myself in several months, and since I am wholly capable of detecting spellcastings put on myself, I wondered what was up. I was alerted that ALL of the high-rated sites were run by the same person!! 😦 Well, I checked the IP address on the emails, and they all came from the same IP. Were they the same person? Maybe. Was I ripped off? Maybe. I am not going to say for sure, but I DID stop listening to that review site pretty effing fast.

A year or two ago, a prospective client came to me, saying “Oh, you weren’t on this ‘spellcaster scam’ site, so I figured you were legit.” Hmm. That site of “scammers” was later taken down. Apparently 3 people were running it and running their mouths about everyone else on the internet whilst promoting spellcasters (um, which were themselves,) for exorbitant prices for hire. Hmmm.

Then there are sites like “Rip off report,” where I have seen more than one LEGITIMATE person bashed… This is horrible, especially since even when the party doing the bashing comes in and says, “Oh, wait, they are legitimate,” the frikkin’ report stays up. Many of these “reports” are even filed by other jealous psychics and spellcasters – wtf! Hey, if you want to believe a site that lists “prostitutes” as one of its rip off catagories, then that’s up to you. The sad thing is that there are also A LOT of rip offs in there, and if the mo-mo’s running the site actually bothered to run it right, it might be a useful resource. :C

Listen, I would love to help you here, and I would even love to list people I believe to be legitimate… The issue is that when I list a spellcaster or psychic, one or two people generally get it in their head that I am in some way in cahoots with this person and getting some sort of finders fee (laughable, I don’t make a dime,) or that I am living with them, or something otherwise… So I have to recommend people solely by personal referral…ie YOU come to me. If you act like a crazy person, I won’t refer you anywhere. I just got done dealing with some “artist,” who said some of the most degrading nonsense to me because I refused to take her on, after I’d referred her elsewhere and she had a major personality conflict with the person I’d referred her to. I’d never even worked for her, and she spent an evening threatening me because she didn’t like someone else. Nice.

I’ve done it before, but here is a list of 3 points to look for, and YOU research a spellcaster and decide. I am always here for help, so contact me, and be assured I will not instantly ask you to hire me… I can only take so many clients, and I may very well be booked.

*The spellcaster is available to you before, during, and after the spellcasting. This doesn’t mean you should be able to contact them 900 times a day, and annoy the eff out of them, or that you deserve 8 hours of attention daily, either… It simply means that if you have questions, the spellcaster is there to answer them, if you have concerns, the spellcaster can address them…the person should be knowledgeable and helpful.

*The spellcaster is NOT available in the paid-search section. I’ve said this a million times… I am not a paid search result, and thankful that I am not…because NO ONE LEGITIMATE PERSON CAN CAST THAT MANY SPELLS IN THAT SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME!!! I can’t have more than a certain number of active spellcastings going on for reasons of 1.) time (I can’t make it so there are more than 24 hours in a given day,) 2.) energy (I am only alotted so much because I need rest and food and stuff,) 3.) space (I have a limited amount of room in my home to put out altar space.) If someone is a “paid result,” chances are they are getting more than 25 (a lot more,) requests in a day. I don’t get 25 requests for spells in a week, and if I did, I most certainly would wish I were dead (or feel as if I were,) if I tried to do 25 full-ritual spellcastings in one week – not to mention there would be altars on all flat surfaces in my home. πŸ˜‰ So.. think twice. It takes me 30 minutes-1 hour for spell prep in an average case…that doesn’t include spellcasting – just prep. Where is that person even finding the time?

*The spellcaster shows that they know their stuff. Look at what you are reading. This is my baby. This is years of my work online, for free, for you to see. You can contact me, and I do know about the art of spellcraft (many types,) and all about the occult. Its free to talk to me. πŸ˜‰ Another spellcaster should willing to discuss some aspects of their craft with you at the very least, and no, maybe not a spell outline, but at least be KNOWLEDGABLE.

Seriously, y’all…this should help. I would also look out for people who “dis” other sites by name and by a list constantly (other than California Astrology Association, who are a bunch of scammers…and I know other scammers, but notice, I don’t list those, because they aren’t as bad of a farce as CAA,) or that they are “spellcasters reviewed” sites, which are almost always run only to profit the owner of the site reviewing other sites. πŸ˜› Contact your spellcaster. Discuss spells before paying. Be careful.

And if you really want to be safe, and want to KNOW that spell is cast, then just come on into my blog, and pick a spell…any spell, and cast it yourself! Hey, I am here, and I may be for hire and all, but I know you are literate (you are reading this, lol,) so go ahead and try out one of the spells here I’ve written out for you on your own, okay? If you have questions, just cite the blog-entry title and contact me. I am not going to try to sell my services to you…in fact, I only started selling my services because I had so many requests to do so. πŸ™‚

    Happy Hunting!

  • Hey all,

Thanks for the letters alerting me to Cat’s Rants which is not the same Cat’s Rants – Confessions of an Occult Mastermind, or even related to this site. It’s cool, y’all. When I was talking about copy-NinjaCats, I meant mostly people stealing my articles and spells and taking credit for them – the title is not copyrighted or anything…so, it just so happens someone knew it was a cool title and used it on her blog. Our content is pretty different. When enough occult-minded people stop by (I have had Cat’s Rants in some form since 2001 going on, just not in blog form until 2004, so people do google my title,) who knows, the title may lose its desirability to anyone other than me who might use it. πŸ˜‰ As long as it isn’t a carbon copy of my site, or word for word theft of my articles, I really don’t mind, but I did want to again extend a thanks to those of you militantly searching the internet for would-be Cat’s Rants plagurisms… But this isn’t plagurism. Its about someone’s personal life and Final Fantasty I think? Check it out if you want:

Thanks again – if we remain vigilant, I can litigate all those who plagurize and maybe even get rich off of it someday…mwahahahahahahhaha. πŸ˜€

As always, the one, the only, the original…

  • Hey Occulties,

This has long since been on my mind to write about some of the misconceptions surrounding the occult. I realize that there is no way I could even begin to cover the mass of rediculous and erronous beliefs out there, but in an attempt to clear some stuff up, I invite you to read this article…and enlighten yourselves! Enjoy!

*The spell target has to believe in spells or know about a spell for it to work.

My personal opinion here, and actually the opinion of many people is quite the opposite…all the better your target NOT know about the spell cast upon them – then they won’t try to fight the effects of the spell consciously. If you tell someone you cast a bad spell on them…sure, they could “freak out,” and sure, it might be funny, but, IMHO, there is actually a better effect when you DO NOT tell them about the spell you cast on them. I can honestly say without a doubt, though, that it is NOT a requirement that the spell target believe in the effect of spellwork or know about the spell cast on them for it to work…not at all. They can be the most skeptical jerk, and the spell will work (hey, I rhymed!)

*Psychicism and the ability to cast spells is something only people who were born with this capability are able to do.

Both psychic ability and spellcasting CAN be talents people are born with, but they are still something which can be learned. Think of both as being in the same sort of catagory as having artistic ability, or musical ability, writing ability, logical thought, public speaking, or being good at algebra…some people ARE naturally gifted in these areas, and some need to practice, practice, study, and practice to succeed at these things. You may never excell at spellcraft, you may never be the BEST psychic…but you can learn, and with practice, you can be come quite competent with use of psychic ability, and become a good spellcaster – same as with art, music, speaking in public, algebra, etc.

*Ghosts and demons only haunt and bother people who believe in that stuff.

Ghosts and demons MAKE believers if need be. Sure, you probably aren’t trying to raise the spirits of people killed on or around your property or call up demons if you DO NOT believe, but usually spirits/entities are not intentionally roused in the first place…and they don’t really seem to care if they bug you or harm you even if you did not believe in such things.

*Angels are nice spirits of dead people that are winged and love helping human beings.

Oh..my, there was so much wrong with that statement, that it actually was painful to write. Firstly, angelic spirits were NEVER human. Much like demons (who, according to Qabalah would simply be angels who don’t answer to God,) Angels are (again according to Judeo-Christian lit,) beings created before human beings, and are in no way human whatsovever. Further, if they are so helpful towards human beings, one might wonder why they destroy towns and smite people with leprosy in the bible. πŸ˜‰

Angels are non-human beings who tend to have a more positive nature than many demons, and do the bidding of the creator spirit. When properly channelled or invoked they can be incredibly powerful and accomplish great things (think Enochian magic/k,) however, when not properly addressed or called, they may kill you, harm you, or do a myriad of things you would find unpleasant. They are incredibly STRONG entities, and should be treated with great care.

If you would like to learn more about angelic forces, I recommend you read the Lesser Keys of Solomon, and for goodness sake, DO NOT just haphazardly call angels to do your bidding. They’ve never been human, and several of them are not particularly fond of human beings. You ARE a smelly monkey to them. πŸ˜‰

*Spells, magic/k, ghosts, demons, and all paranormal phenomena are hooey because major news reporters say so, and they HAVE TO tell the truth.

If you believe the press is telling you the truth ALL of the time, and/or not exaggerating or sensationalizing everything the do report ALL of the time, then you probably would be willing to buy the Brooklyn Bridge off of me as well.

Listen, the press needs to make money and one way is sensationalism…if 1% of people who use asprin die from using asprin, some headline like “Asprin causes tens of thousands of injuries, and thousands of deaths a year!” sure sounds like a big deal, doesn’t it? Well, consider this, then… if, let’s say, only one million people this year use asprin, and 1% of them get sick or die from it, what is 1% of a million? Ten thousand. BUT 99% of people are safe, so…hmm…if 99 people out of 100 are unaffected in any negative way, that sounds like pretty good odds, eh? Let me continue. Lets say HUNDREDS of children are hospitilized with complications from influenza each year. Well, how many kids do you think are getting the flu this year? In grade school, I think I got the flu about once a year…so…like, millions of children? So that’s what…like a 100th of 1% or so? Oh…and I said HOSPITALIZED, not dead or permanently damaged. This “hospitilized” figure might actually include children who just visited a doctor to confirm that the flu which lasted 3+ days is just the vomit-flu or influenza and will go on its own. :S Are getting my point yet?

Now lets take the press and the occult. “I had a Vodou guy cast a spell on me and it didn’t work,” one says. Okay, you had one person willing to work in something you believed was Vodou to do a spell for you, and his credentials are what? Where did he kanzo? After enough “Discovery” and “History Channel,” I have seen a lot of notorious fake-os brought on as “experts.” Sure, there were good folks along with the bad in these programs…but it is a lot easier to locate the famed archaelogist for that Egypt expedition (because there are also many highly-regarded archaeologists in this world with degrees and credentials,) than it is to locate a legitimate practioner. Legitimate practioners do not usually lead very public lives, so they are not the easiest person for a newscast to find. When you find a legit person, you need testing standards to prove they are legit, so just one legit one won’t do right? Then you need 10+ more LEGITIMATE AND HIGHLY-TRAINED practioners to do a study. Now that you have that, you need at least 100+ LEGITIMATE practioners to gauge the effect…am I getting somewhere? Because some “respected journalist,” managed to find some kook to get up on tv and “perform a ritual,” once we are all supposed to lose belief in a belief system (or systems,) that have worked for 100’s or 1000’s of years with witnesses swearing they were effected with no prior knowledge of some one working spells on them. We are supposed to laugh off the existance of a soul, laugh off the belief that there are powers in the mind that are more than basic human perception…we are supposed to laugh it all off because the dude wearing a toupe on your evening news said its bunk.

Don’t even get me on ghosties and unexplained phenomena. I’ve known people who don’t have one ounce of belief in the supernatural come to me and say, “I think I must be going crazy, but…” These are not drunk, stoned or high people. These are not people that perscribe to paranormal beliefs. These are DEFINITELY NOT people who would want their issues broadcast on TV.

Did you ever think that news casts call this stuff “bogus,” because they have no scientific explanation for it, and can’t locate anyone legitimate willing to work for them or speak to them? Did you ever think the “experts” that these people hired are not experts, but that those who did the hiring are so ignorant on the topic, that they couldn’t know better? Listen folks, most of the mundane stories you hear on the news are wildly blown out of proprotion and are not true. I invite you to read Forces.org to enlighten yourselves on medical myths…so, um, do you really think someone with a degree in journalism (which involves “hooking” your audience, and exciting them,) can actually knowledgeably report on the occult? Considering I’ve not yet seen an accurate movie on the occult, considering 90% of the news articles I’ve read were horrid, biased and simply asinine, and considering I KNOW politicians, actors, and other “famous people,” who have used the occult to get ahead, you might want to reconsider your source for believing that something which is listed as not being scientifically quantifiable is something that a lowly reporter with a bachelor’s degree can deride in its entirety.

Ever seen that cartoon where there is a wall, and spray-painted on it, is “God is Dead -Nietzsche” and then next to that statement is written, “Nietzsche is dead!! -God” For some reason the press vs. the occult and the paranormal always makes me think of that cartoon. Don’t ask me why. πŸ˜‰

    Moving on…

*Belief in the paranormal/occult is simply devil-worship. All things paranormal are from “Satan.”

Wow, am I getting some hate mail this week. πŸ˜‰ Okay, the Judeo-Christian trickster god, also known as Satan, is a basically a trickster Christian God, you see, and implies that God (now did you ever READ the Old Testament,) is a benevolent force who will never harm us or do bad, and “Satan,” is a malicious force causing us to behave badly. 😦 Some people believe this, and I am okay with that. Your religious beliefs are all yours. However, throughout the Bible, God creates all sorts of supernatural events, as does Moses, as does Jesus, as do several prophets and people. So…if their power and this other supernatural stuff is ascribed as being from God (directly or being channeled through a human,) would that not imply that the paranormal and supernatural could just as easily come from God as it did from Satan? Food for thought. I am not saying to those of you with belief in Satan that there could not theoretically BE negative Satanic phenomena or something like that…just that in the Bible, God does some really mean things (ever read the book of Job?) and though Satan doesn’t have any incredibly winning qualities, certainly, he is not the sole purveyor of unexplainable or supernatural phenomena. I recommend checking with your diety. πŸ˜‰

Further, not all religions are based on ancient Judaism, which is the father of modern Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. So…if not all religions are based upon or even mildly related to Judaism, how are they worshipping Satan when he is not an influence or even something several cultures would have known of for thousands of years. If your form of worship was not possible for someone to learn 1000, 500, or even 200 years ago due to location, and could not have influenced those indiginous people, can you please explain to me how Satan was being worshipped by those individuals when those people did not know about God in your sense of what God is? Hmm? I have yet to hear a good argument, but you are free to try. πŸ™‚

Either way, ascribing everything you can’t explain as being from Satan is erronous. People do bad things of their own will (free will, its in the Bible,) God does supernatural stuff on his own or through others (its in the Bible, old and new testaments,) and certainly there is just “paranormal” stuff that is only paranormal because science cannot yet explain it. Can’t keep giving Satan all the credit…which if he controls everything to do with the paranormal and supernatural, that’s a lot of credit for a trickster god you so revile. 😦

*Roots and herbs must be plucked at the right time to make a spell work.

Depends. Some religions and some spells outwardly mandate this. I guess, if I were to be a perfectionist, I might actually stick to this belief, however, NOT sticking to it has had absolutely NO effect, negative or positive on my rootwork. I use cinnamon I bought from the dollar store. I grab blessed thistle out of a field when it makes its yearly appearance. It works as well as stuff I get at the right time or place.

HOWEVER, some spells WILL mandate you did create this or do that in a certain moon cycle, astrological cycle, or season…I recommend erring on the side of caution if you are using an old traditional spell, and just sticking with the directions. It can only help.

*Spells must be cast during the appropriate moon cycle to work.

Euro folk magic/k is very lunar-based, but that is EURO stuff…like Wicca. If you are Wiccan, by all means, stick to this belief! And if you aren’t…sure the lunar influence CAN help…but things like Hoodoo are based strongly on SOLAR beliefs as well, meaning, I might have to do somethings at sunrise to get that type of spell to work… the moon’s position is not so important. To believe that the moon must be in a certain phase for all types of spells to work is an ethno-centricly ignorant belief. It is perpetrated by the horrible books put out by misinformation-publishers. You can make up your mind and decide whether 100’s and 1000’s of years of a certain cultures solar-led traditions take a back seat to what the crap they sell at Borders may tell you. I go with the YEARS of tradition over someone who actually publishes Raven SilverWolf’s books…don’t you?

*Using negative magic/k will make you evil or hurt you.

Using ANYTHING you aren’t competent enough to use could hurt you. It won’t make you evil, though. πŸ˜‰ Listen, if you take spellworking lightly, it can effect you negatively. It takes focus and proper action. It also takes brains enough NOT to pick a fight with someone who knows more than you do… ie, if you are a magical newbie, don’t pick a fight with the Santero down the street, okay? They will get offended and probably could hurt you… But just using negative magic/k will probably not cause you harm or “bad karma” or any other such thing…it could really hurt someone else (your target,) though, so, be prepared.

*Rootwork, Santeria, Palo, Candomble, Obeah Hoodoo, Vodou, etc are all evil and will always come back to harm who you love.

This statement was originally (as best I can figure, because this is the first place I saw it written,) said by an online spellcaster who felt perhaps threatened by someone practicing an ATR religion. I don’t know this person’s motives in saying it – maybe they believes it, and that is fine. That being said, I have seen NO PROOF of this, and even the oldest rootworkin-est person in the world can show you proof to quite the opposite. The statement is, in fact, quite bigoted (intentionally or no,) and I can assure you that all forms of ATR’s are just as benign or malicious in manifestation and practice as is any religio-magic/kal practice. Considering there is a lot of Hoodoo that is Christian in nature, this would also imply that, say, lighting a colored candle while reading a psalm will ultimately cause evil to come to you…hmm…

Listen, if you are afraid of these misunderstood practices, that is fine, and that is up to you…however, most religions and magic/kal practices are scary to people who are poorly acquainted with them. I respect someone’s right to reject these practices – even if solely because they are ignorant, but their positive spellworkings will and do bring about LASTING positive results which do not inevitably bite you in the butt.

You have the right to nay-say me there, but if you do, ask yourself why you are saying I am wrong. Do you know the intricate details of how these religions are practiced, HOW these spells are cast? If you do, please contact me and we will discuss why you feel ATR-based beliefs are evil. I really want to know solidly why this misconception is flying about. πŸ˜‰

These are just a few of the occult-misconceptions out there, and by no means a finite (or even close) list on this topic. I do hope some of this has been enlightening to you all. πŸ™‚

    Yours,

    ~Cat

  • Hi Occulties,

I am here today to talk about 3 things that should NOT go hand in hand…and that is obsessive behavior love, and love spells. This is NOT by any means a finite example of problematic love affairs and love spells, but hopefully some help to you.. Okay, homies, lets begin.

Firstly, I would like to take a moment and tell all of you that yes, I have been incredibly hung up on a non-responsive party before, and yes, I was intent on making that person MINE…but, this is not totally what I am talking about… It is one thing to want a person, it is entirely another to have that be the sole focus of one’s life to the point that all other things in one’s life take second place.

Let’s take a hypothetical example. Let’s say that Mary had dated Frank for a year, and then the couple broke up. Frank left Mary with little or no warning for another woman. Four months since the break up, Mary has stopped eating, sits by her phone waiting for Frank to call, talks ceaselessly about Frank, and calls Frank from a blocked number 3-4 times a day. Does this sound unhealthy to you? I hear worse on a regular basis…this is pretty tame. Well, okay, Mary’s had her heart stomped, and we can assume she loves or was deeply in love with old Frank, so this is gonna take some time to heal even if she gives up, right? Right. Now, let’s throw spellwork into the mix. Let’s say for 3 months Mary has been casting return to me spells on Frank and not noticed any effect of the spells working. Why? Let us go over why.

*Mary calls Frank from a blocked number 3-4 times a day. Listen up, you can block your number all you want, but unless you call like that 3 to 4 times a YEAR at most, I can honestly assume that the “Frank” in the situation knows who is calling. Yes, even if you hang up. Normal break ups have a lot of these calls initially, and I don’t care if you are 15 or 50, some sort of teenage-girl brain-infection seems to take hold of many people for the first few weeks to the first month after a break up…and on both sides. πŸ˜‰ BUT, by month FOUR, if you are still partaking in this behavior at all, you are being a bad doobie. Do you really think stalking your target or relentlessly calling then is sexy or will win them back? No, it will probably make them think that you are crazy, and I don’t mean that in a fun happy way. Think back, if you will, to when you first hooked up with your sweetie. Did you call them and hang up constantly? Gee, I hope not. Remember, returning someone to you is similar to an initial seduction, and requires that you have some “game,” some seduction technique. If you are a sobbing snotball looking all dishevelled and calling 3-4 times a day trying to get that person to answer you by blocking your telephone number (or not,) you are not being sexy or seductive, or even really something which is a welcoming sight, are you? Put down the phone. All you are doing is shooting your spellwork in the foot by strongly reaffirming to your intended that you are not fit to date him/her, or probably anyone.

*Mary has stopped eating, and sits by her phone all day. Well, see above first. Also, looking like hell and not being in the general public really doesn’t make matters any better. If you are seeking the status of martyr for love, this one won’t win it for you. So, here is what “Mary” is doing… Mary is proving to “Frank,” that she is his no matter what he does…and not in a good way. This is the same thing as me letting you punch me in the face each time I see you so we can hang out. Further, it again reinforces that you are not mentally fit for a relationship, whilst also keeping you out of the eye of the greater public, which includes Frank. You want to win someone over? Project the image of well-being and success. Project that you, the Mary of the World, do not need Frank and can get 10 Franks with your unholy hotness. (Pun implied.) Nothing makes an ex question their decision to leave faster than seeing their ex-partner living well or even living better than he/she was before the break.

*Mary talks ceaselessly about Frank. Okay, this goes back to having some “game.” Don’t let that person know how much you are obsessed with them ever. If you are the Mary, just say about Frank, “Well, I wish it could’ve worked out, but I wish him well, even if it is not that he is to be with me.” People asking too many questions? Good, be faceitous. People are gossip-mongers, and they generally won’t help you…they just want the dirt. Be the better person, and say nothing at all…just vauge praise.

But I haven’t touched on the magic/kal very much, have I? πŸ˜‰ Okay, all 3 of the points I outlined for you are things which are reacting with the spellwork. Mary in the example is reinforcing Frank’s doubts and fears and her behavior IS effecting the spell. Let’s say “Frank,” has been effected by a return to me spell. He gets back from work, misses Mary’s cooking, misses her affection, misses HER, and the new chick isn’t really…working out for him. Why then, is he not reconciling with “Mary.” Okay, well, sometime during Frank considering a reconciliation, the phone rings. Its blocked. He answers, and “click.” Who do you think that was? He calls Mary back, knowing who it was, and upon answering her phone she gets all weepy and boohoo why did you leave…and thus the urge to return has been siphoned from Frank. Why? Okay, on a good day, I don’t like when people cry. It is upsetting to me when it is not my fault. Many people, not just your friend Cat, dislike this. It feels bad. We feel as though the crying person is (as they are so obviously displaying,) hysterical. Hysteria is temporarily being insane. Being insane is scary. We are scared. Further, Mary has just called and hung up on Frank. This is very annoying, and outweighs his love because it is REINFORCING his reasons for running off in the first place. Perhaps he felt cornered by Mary, perhaps she “always overreacted,” and etc. Reinforcing the things he found wrong with her by her current behavior often outweighs the spell influences. Maybe Frank can’t get her out of his head, but at the same time all of his interactions with her presently are NEGATIVE and BAD and make her seem crazy and frightening. Further, he realizes if she is like this STILL after four months…well, she will probably always be hung up on him. He can get a “normal” girlfriend, and he ever wants Mary back…well, apparently she will still be waiting with open arms a million years from now anyhow. No need to rush, Frank thinks…so he doesn’t act on the spell energies.

See…Mary is shooting herself in the foot.

Let us move on to a love spell NOT having to do with reconcilation. Hera loves Ralph. She adores him. She does whatever she can to get Ralph to notice her, and although her love spells seemed to REALLY work at first, she notices he acting as though he is no longer really interested. There is some response, but it actually seems to be “going away.” Hera has been casting love spells on Ralph for 2 months, and does her best to show up wherever Ralph will be…also, she has called or texted him at least 4 times a day since he started showing interest in her.

Oh my. Does anyone else see what is going on here? Hera has apparently tried to get a previously uninterested party interested. This is okay. Its ‘doable,’ if you will, and Ralph was effected…but then what happened? Ahem. Hera has frightened off her target by mildly stalking him before the spell could totally take root. A spell does not negate bad behavior…does it? No, it doesn’t.

Listen up ladies and gents…I have some advice. Ladies, it may sound a little back-woods of me, but gentlemen usually like to do the chasing. If you are everywhere he is (not coming with him, just showing up,) and calling several times a day, you are being scary and being “too much, too fast.” Don’t worry, you will know when and if you can just call whenever you want and be cutesy and go wheresoever he goes, if that’s your thing (it isn’t mine, but to each his/her own,) and you will know when you can get away with this when HE starts calling you relentlessly and speaking in cutesy foo-foo tones and asking you to go out with him 24/7. Remember, one of the best things about being a woman is that you are an enigma, a mystery, with the most powerful thing ever created sitting right between your legs…yes, I am speaking of your vagina, and men will do many stupid stupid things to get you to let them use that thing. Don’t Wal-mart that thing out, girlfriend, if he wants the cheap version, it is for sale in certain gentleman’s clubs, and on dark street corners… but he doesn’t want the cheap version…he wants the mysterious, enigmatic lady who he has to SEDUCE to get that thing. Remember, your friend Cat is here, and she will swear that you have the most prized possesion of every hetero male right now… Ahem, no need to act like a stalking school-girl – he will stalk YOU to get after what you have if you play your cards right.

And gentleman…if you are crazy about some lady, and she is not so…excited about you. DO NOT bombard her with 1000 compliments every time you see her. It sounds disingenuine. Instead, say “Hello Gorgeous,” when you see her, and do not follow that with 800 more suck up comments. We’re women. You don’t fool us – after about 18, we’ve heard every come on in the book, okay? See the above paragraph, as we are the group who each hold the most valuable and prized thing on the planet, buddy, so don’t you think that many attempts to share that thing have been made? You gotta do it right. πŸ˜‰

And guys, for the last time, YOU DO NOT OWN YOUR GIRLFRIEND/WIFE/PARAMOUR!! If you start acting like a woman is your possession, or even worse, like a woman is your dog and has to take orders from you…heads up, fellas, she’s probably gonna leave unless you beat her (SO UNSEXY AND WRONG AND ILLEGAL,) or chain her to your house (NOT EVEN LEGAL,) or verbally abuse her (and then you deserve to be beaten, but that is not even legal, so…well, you should die if you are like that.) So stop, caveman, and think. If you want a woman to do your bidding, you need to win her over…not fight her and frighten her.

Obsession in love is not sexy. To be in love, you do need to be a bit obsessed (yes, its true,) because when you are deeply in love, very often you are feeling that the particular person you love is perhaps the all-time greatest creation ever…so you will be a bit obsessed. But remember, to win someone over, acting like you have a “Fatal Attraction,” is not winning behavior. People seem to literally forget this altogether in reconciliation cases and many love cases, and quite honestly folks, I’d say I’m shocked by some of the things which are told to me…but I’m not. I did attend high school where this behavior was a daily occurance, and to a lesser extent college was also like this…BUT ADULTS should not act like this.

Anyhow, this rant is aimed at everyone (hopefully in time for the dreaded VD, aka Valentine’s Day,) in the hopes you will love and respect that person you so claim to love. Its my advice, its my opinion, it is what it is, but PLEASE give it some thought.

Love is a wonderful and terrible thing,

  • Ah, the ever-popular Questions You’ve Asked Me, which I feel has technically replaced the “Q&A” articles. Well, you were all warned that it was a-coming. πŸ˜€ Without further ado, the most recent addition to the Questions You’ve Asked Me articles. πŸ™‚

Q: You often say that people “think their spell to death” – can you illustrate what you mean by this and why it happens?

A: Spells are basically concentrated energy, which is being directed towards manifesting a certain goal. By utilizing the energy within ourselves and within certain plants (and minerals and animals as well,) and even occaisionally employing godforms, spirits, saints, entities, or demons, we can combine this with spellwork to realize our goal. HOWEVER, thoughts also have energy. No, a thought may not be as concentrated or strong as a spell…it is better to think of this like a spell being a giant boulder, and a thought being a pebble…both are the same thing in a way, but a thought is smaller, and no I am not calling spells rocks, I am just giving you a visual here. Now, going back to the visual, imagine for me if you will, that this boulder (our spell) is rolling towards a destination (our goal for the spell,) and yet every time we think of this boulder (our spell,) we are doing the equivellant of hucking a pebble at the boulder and chipping a piece off, ie making it smaller, less effective, etc. Now, if we only think of the spell a little bit, we are still gonna have a big “boulder,” when it reaches the destination…but if we think about the spell constantly, we are not going to have anything reach the destination at all, because we will have broken it down to nil. So…what I am trying to get across here, is that a spell is energy, and your thoughts are energy, and this can lead to your thoughts dissolving a spell because you are mentally attacking the spell, if you will.

    Kissy

This is not always the case. I do know people who have thought themselves cursed, and therefore remained “cursed.” The actual curse was removed, but they couldn’t allow themselves to believe this, and basically by thinking themselves doomed to a life of misery, they had in fact, cursed themselves…and why? BECAUSE THOUGHTS HAVE ENERGY, TOO. If you truly believe something and tell yourself something over and over and over, often times you are creating what is similar to a spell…a big energy ball thought which is creating the very outcomes you believe inevitable. Now, before I get 80 emails asking why so and so is not married to someone famous and rich when they always felt they should be, or something similarly delusional, let me state for the record that just because YOUR THOUGHTS have energy, this doesn’t mean that MY THOUGHTS or MY DOG’S THOUGHTS or TOM BRADY’S THOUGHTS do not also have energy as well. So…if you truly believe it is your turn to win the lotto, please realize that my father also is thinking that it is his time to win the lotto, as well as are several other millions of people. So…in effect, with all of those thought energies floating around saying it is so-and-so’s time to win, you are all effectively doing the same thing energy-wise as you are when you buy that ticket…being one of millions who wish to win the lotto. πŸ˜‰ If we take this on a smaller scale, let’s say that you always felt you should marry Betty Sue, and yet you are not even her paramour, look at it like this…yes, your thoughts do have energy and effect, BUT so do Betty Sue’s thoughts have energy and effect, as do her husband’s thoughts, her parents thoughts, and etc. A thought has energy, but generally it is the most effective at manifesting something when directed at oneself, and not at another being. If you always “knew” you would get married and have kids some day, chances are very high that you will get married and have kids some day. If you always “knew” you would marry someone famous and have that person’s kids, chances are you and a million schoolgirls will all be disappointed. πŸ˜‰

Now a spell is not a person. A spell can be effected both positively and negatively by thought, and because it is not an incarnate being, but rather energy, thought can have a more pronounced effect on the spell.

A question of one of my clients recently brought something to my attention which I found interesting. She said, what if she did not think of the spell itself, but worried about the outcome without considering the spellwork itself. :S Well, let us go back to a visual interpretation, shall we? Let us now envision the spell as being an actual living being, and again the desired goal is a destination. There are a myriad of paths and roads to this destination that the being (the spell) can take. Now let us throw your thoughts into the mix. Your thoughts are like little hyperactive beings which run up and down the pathways and roads to this destination, and everytime you think “Well, so and so would never do that,” one of your thoughts goes and blocks off a pathway or road so that the being (the spell) cannot get to its destination (ie manifest) using that pathway. The being (the spell,) will generally take the easiest “path” or “road” to the destination (manifestation,) but if it is constantly blocked by your thoughts (who also like to congregate generally on the best path, lol,) it will have to turn back and find another path. This is why people who obsess over the situation constantly will often complain of slow manifestation. So NO, do not obsess about your situation, or the how, the when, or the why. How, when, and why will all be apparent when your spell manifests.

The best way to look at it is like this: A spell is a bit like ordering something from a catalogue or online. You place your order and in a certain amount of time, the thing you ordered will arive. You probably think very little about the thing you ordered until it arrives, don’t you? Now if the spell is the “order” and the manifestation is “the ordered thing,” in this example, I highly hope that when you actually order something online or by phone or mail, that you do not obsess about you package being packed, and what the packer was wearing and thinking, and what the package’s delivery man was arguing about with his wife that day, and etc…if you are, you are not capable of casting a spell, and should probably be treated for obesessive/compulsive disorder. However, if you are capable of ordering something and not obsessing over the how, when, or why of your package’s transit to you, then you are capable of spellcasting. Treat it the same. The spell is the order (and we all wait for mail order stuff we really want and are excited to get from time to time, don’t we?) and the package delivery would be when the spell manifests. Its a weird example, I know, but the idea is just to know what you ordered is on its way, and not to think about it from here to there.

Phew, that was a long long long answer…next question?

    Littlelords

Q: Do I have to believe in God/dess or a creator or supreme being to cast a spell?

A: No, but I find that most spellcasters have some sort of spiritual belief. Certainly, if having religion does not appeal to you, I would assume you would still be quite capable of spellcasting, just not when utilizing religious beliefs is part of the spell.

Q: Is telling your spell target that you cast a spell on them bad? Does it hurt the spell?

A: I would have to tell you that 95% of the time it is beyond stupid for you to tell someone you spellcasted upon them. No one likes to be “tricked,” and in Hoodoo, we call something laying down a trick for another very often (even if it is a “good” trick,) because if you discover you have been “tricked,” or had a spell cast on you, it does normally feel just like that. A trick. It feels hurtful. Like you were fooled into something. Certainly, in the case of love spells, telling your spell target that you cast a love spell on them will probably negate the whole spell.

Sometimes, though, in the case of a curse, you can just tell someone that they are cursed, and not curse them, and they will freak out and basically do all sorts of crazy things. Mwahahahah. Having done this to 2 people who were incredibly rude to myself and my fella, I can tell you this was, by far, the funniest thing I ever saw in my life. I didn’t even say “curse,” I just said I was going to ruin both of their lives and hahahahaha, it was all gonna be done in completely legal ways. I’d had so much drama and crap from these people, that I’d reached my limit, and I am quite the vindictive bitch if you push me too far. Well, people know what I do for a living, even though it isn’t really something that is discussed locally. Needless to say, these persons reacted by fighting with each other (its your fault, you started it, you picked on Cat, etc,) having every miniscule bad thing being “proof” that I had “got them,” and basically running themselves ragged emotionally and mentally because they were sure that the “big event” from my “curse” was approaching ever nearer. Let me enlighten you all…if I cursed you, I’d not tell you, and I would sit back and watch your life turn to s**t, and you’d be none the wiser that I’d ever cursed you. I don’t just curse people for s**ts and giggles, either, so I would have had to have been greatly mistreated by you to place a curse on you. These 2 people where simply mouthy little a-holes, and though the thought to curse them did cross my mind, before I seriously considered it enough to do it, they ruined themselves for fear of me. So…in essesnce, there was no need – they self destructed. πŸ˜‰

BUT, telling someone they are cursed can backfire. The would-be cursed person can unthink your spell if you cast it, they can get the spell removed, too, or maybe they will just attack you, there, o cursing one. The moral of this story is when you cast a spell, keep your freakin’ mouth shut. I probably should’ve not said boo to Tweedle-dum and Tweedle-dee about desiring to ruin them both, but I was also drinking Stoli that night (ah, its like sweet kryptonite to me sometimes,) so thankfully for me it turned out for the best. No matter what the spell is, DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT discuss it with the spell target. πŸ™‚ And definitely avoid Stolichnaya when around would be spell targets, even though it is a wonderful vodka and should be enjoyed regularly. πŸ˜‰

Q: Does divination and spellcasting draw entities or spirits into a home?

A: No, I do not feel this is the case. HOWEVER, if you have dormant spirits or entities on your property this can rouse them, and therefore initiate activity within your home that was not previously there. However, mundane things like construction can also rouse entities, so…like anything else, it is just something that can happen, even if you are not dabbling in the occult. Unfortunate “demonologists,” seem to equate the occult with evil and say that this makes a “beacon,” for evil entities to enter. This is not the case, IMHO, as often “evil entities,” seem to attack even the most pure of people as well as the bad….and if you think about it, often pubescent children are the most victimized by entities because of their own inner turmoil, which would lead me to say, don’t be conflicted or going through hormonal changes or doing construction on your home if you wish to avoid “evil” entities. πŸ˜‰ LOL, seriously, though, there are a lot of reasons for spirit activity to initiate itself, and unless you are literally requesting a negative entitiy to come into your home, I would say do not blame yourself or the fact that you used a mode of divination or a spell if you encounter undesired spiritual activity in your home.

Q: Can you tell me where to get a free spell? Would you do a free spell?

A: There is no such thing as a free spell. Spell materials cost someone money, ergo, it was not free. It even costs money to grow your own herbs, make your own incenses and oils, pour your own candles… so no, there is no such thing as a free spell. Would you pay my monthly ritual supply bill costs for me? No? Really, I don’t blame you…its a big bill, which is why I write out spells for you to cast, and that information IS free, but you need to purchase your own supplies. πŸ˜‰

Q: Do you really not believe in Karma, the Law of Three, or the Law of Return?

A: Inasmuch as I realize this belief is popular amongst those wishing to cling to the hope of divine justice for wrongdoers and that good actions will always bring good things to them, no, I do not believe in any of that, as I have seen numerous times that such “laws” do not really exist. If I use a spell to save the lives of 100 people, I could still get sick and die 3 weeks later. πŸ˜‰ If I curse the eff out of you, I might win the Powerball the next week and be as happy as a clam for the rest of my life. πŸ™‚ What I believe is that every action has a reaction…there is no specification to the reaction being good or bad or anything else. It just is. If I spellcast a curse on you, the reaction is you are cursed. If I cast a love spell on you, the reaction is that you are in love. See what I am saying…nothing more than for what is done, there is a reaction. End of story. I have yet to have any “karma” issues, and karma seems pretty silly to me.

    Masakoono

Q: Can you make a spell work very fast?

A: Anyone can, however a rapid manifesting spell is often very short lived. If you can bear to wait about 21-28 days for a spell to manifest, you will be much happier with the results. Fast acting spells seem to be limited to a life of, at most, 14 days.

Alrighty, kids, that’s enough of questions you’ve asked me. Please keep those questions a coming. πŸ˜‰

  • Hey Occulties,

So this is it…you want yourself a LOOOOOVE spell, eh? Thought so. πŸ˜‰ Alright, no lectures here. There is going to be a new version of Questions You’ve Asked Me coming this week, so I have plenty of time for lectures, heh heh heh. Plus I did just rant on those re-re’s who all wish to be me. Ah, who can blame them? …I am lovely and talented, after all. πŸ˜‰

Well, it did just happen that I got a rather lengthy diatribe from someone regarding the fact that I always want all of you to use a billion and five ingredients for every spell. Personally, I don’t even think I am acquainted with a billion and five ingredients to anything, but I understand what you are trying to tell me. “Keep it simple, stupid,” is what you are trying to say. Fair enough. For all of you asking me to make it simple, simple, simple, I have the

    SIMPLE LOVE CANDLE SPELL
(brought to you by Cat, authorship Cat, copyright Cat, this means you can’t plagurize.)

This spell is best done on a Friday during a waxing (growing,) moon, and best done on a new lover, someone you want to BE your lover, or on an existing love relationship (that has not gone bad.)

    Moving on…

    You will need:
A heatproof container like a pie plate or cake tin,
    A candlestick, preferably brass,
    A pin or needle,
    A black pen,
    A red pen,
GENUINE RECIPIE “Love Me” oil (please get this at a REPUTABLE supply house, meaning NOT Indio, you cheapskate.) πŸ˜‰
“Follow Me Boy,” or “Follow Me Girl” oil (straight ladies and gay men use Follow Me Boy, straight men and gay ladies use “Follow me Girl”)
Fire of Love oil OR Flame of Passion oil (basically the same thing.)
    A red taper candle
    A piece of scrap paper.

Firstly, you may notice, I went herb-free here. I love using REAL HERBS but this seems to be the most difficult thing for you in the rant room to get, or at least the thing I get the most complaints about. πŸ˜‰ So, we are going HERB FREE on this spell…and it hurts me as a rootworker to do it, but what the heck, you know I listen to complaints. πŸ™‚

    Set up:

Using a nail or pin carve up (base to wick,) the following, “(Your full name,) is irresistable to (full name of lover, or if lacking a particular target write “men” or “women” depending on your sexual preference,) and is deeply loved and desired by (lover’s full name, or wo/men, etc.)” This is a lot to write if you write “big,” so don’t worry if you need to make a second line. πŸ˜‰ Now, using equal parts of the three oils, anoint the candle using 7 pulls UP (base to wick,) the candle. Hold the candle in your hand and visualize yourself with your lover, or intended, or some non-descript intended; picturing yourself very happy, and very passionately in love. πŸ™‚ Try to feel this vision go into the candle from your hands. If you do not think you can do this, simply sit and visualize for a few moments, and this will do. Set aside.

Now take your piece of scrap paper, preferably from a brown paper sack. Write your full name in black pen 9x like this:

    John Doe
    John Doe
    John Doe (x6 more times,)

and then turn the paper 90 degrees so your name is vertical, and in black pen, write the full name of your lover, would be lover, or if lacking that “desirable wo/men” (choose a sex,) will do, 9x across your name like this:

    Jane Doe
    Jane Doe
    Jane Doe (x6 more times.)

Now, take your red pen, and write in a circle around the names: “(Your full name,) is irresistable to (full name of lover, or if lacking a particular target write “men” or “women” depending on your sexual preference,) and is deeply loved and desired by (lover’s full name, or wo/men, etc.)” If you write small, you may have to write this more than once. This is okay and will not negatively effect the spell. Fold the paper in half once towards you, and then in half again, towards you. Place this beneath the candle holder.

    Sunset_1

Place your taper candle into the candle holder. If you would like, you may light the candle and secure it to the holder with wax drippings before placing it in the holder. Once you have secured the candle, light it if you have not already done so, and begin by holding your hands on either side of the lit candle. Envision red and pink energy coming up through your hands and pouring into the candle. Say, “I, (your full name,) am the most irresistable, lovable, and sexiest wo/man, and I am deeply loved and desired especially by (lover’s full name, or if there is none, just specify men or women in general.) (Lover’s full name, or wo/men) I call you by the heart, by the hand, by the ear to come to me and love and desire me and me alone. I conjure, you (name of lover, etc,) to come to me full of love and passion, wishing for only me, desiring only me, loving only me.” Let your hands fall to your side and say, “This spell shall not reverse or place upon me any curse, as is my will – so be it!” Allow the candle to burn out completely.

When the candle has burnt out, remove the name paper from beneath the holder, and hide this someplace near the enterance to your home, preferably outside. πŸ™‚

As always there will be questions, so contact me if you have them. πŸ™‚

    Enjoy!

  • Ah Occulties,

They say that copying another is just a form of flattery. Well, ew. I have just gone about scanning so prospellcaster sites, and guess who must be the high princess of being flattered? Moi. So, here it is. Everyone who is running an “I’m pretending to be NinjaCat” site, using my work or spells on their site WITHOUT permission, or, even worse, when CLAIMING THEY ARE THE AUTHOR of my spell is due to be litigated without warning.

Remember, I am the ORIGINAL NinjaCat, the blogging occult mastermind who apparently launched a bunch of blogging wanna-be prospellcasters too. Yee-haw. Well, its good to be original…and then be copied repeatedly. πŸ˜›

I am very displeased, copy-NinjaCats, and you will be hearing from my lawyer.

Remember, it used to be “Loved, hated, never duplicated,” when referring to me, but now it is “Loved. Hated. Quite often but very poorly imitated.”

Stop copying me. I’m not flattered. I want credit for my work. Also, you aren’t fooling anyone. There’s just one of me, and I intend on keeping it that way.

  • Happy Holidays, Occulties!

As many of you know I am on vacation from work from Dec 20 – Jan 3 this year, so please do not email me 80 times asking where in the monkey butt your reply is. πŸ˜‰ I deserve a vacation, too! And rare is it that anyone respects my vacation time, so please do. This time is for me to catch up on other stuff that isn’t just helping others…like site updating, and whatnot. Yeh, super vacation, eh? Exactly. I actually have to take a vacation to catch up on the boring s***, and to be able to do things like clean off my desk. πŸ˜›

Anyhow, this year I want every smoking ban banned in every state, and an elephant (a real live elephant,) an ankle length silver fox fur coat (screw you, PETA!), and a real diamond tennis bracelet in platnum setting with all the diamonds measuring at lest 1/2 carat apiece…so if you are a zillionaire, or just willing to cease and desist persecuting smokers (who pay several billion dollars in taxes each year to have more of our civil liberties taken away and to be treated like complete s***,) then you can give me what I want for Xmas. Be sure to smoke ’em if you got ’em (we support the government with our habit after all,) and stop by for a ride on my elephant – champagne drinking and Stolichnaya drinking is welcome! Heh heh…well, someone needs to give me my elephant for a gift first, so maybe next year, then, lol. πŸ˜‰

    Santa2

I leave you with a quote from an unnamed friend of Norman Kjono, who is a columnist. Enjoy!

β€œLife should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, glass of wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO what a ride!”

I totally agree. Have a wonderful holiday season from my family to yours. πŸ˜€

  • Alrighty fellow eBayers…

So…I had a dispute, and for once actually arguing my head off about someone leaving a false retalitory f/b worked. Did eBay do anything when I whined? No. Did the seller listen to reason when I ranted? Well it took a bit, but yes. WooHOO. Now if only I could get my Outlook Express working right. Is there a PC doctor in the house? LOL!

Okay, trying to get a love spell out to y’all. Just wanted share my mini victory. πŸ˜€

    Cheers,
